Seriously, the conflict between the right and the left has skyrocketed. First due to the conflict between Israel and Hamas, and now in England.
Luckily there are other trends, that go in the opposite direction. I am really, really, really positively surprised by the liberal engagement of Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz. I know, that they are not perfect, far from. Yet the basic attempt at trying to unite the country instead of tearing it apart is really, really positive to my mind.
The liberal leadership are really trying to keep the country together.
This is true, idealistic and positive.
The idea of joy being the vehicle for politics is also really wonderful. There is so much negativity these days, why not try to talk the positive things up in a society.
It has no inbuilt opposition, it is built to make bridges and reach out on dialogue.
That is a good thing for the West, we need to be in dialogue.
