Laws

There is another part of the debate on the Islamic republic, that I have been debating a lot, with myself.

The Iranian leadership wants to be respected, and engaged in a serious debate.

So, this is what I am trying to do.

Essentially it comes down to; who writes the laws.

Jewish Laws and Muslim Laws are the same, more or less. The huge download from G-d by Moses are shared between Muslims and Jews. Ten Commandments, being the most important. But there are a lot more.

So these rules we believers try to follow and respect. They are from G-d, so that really gives them an incredible weight and cause for respect. It’s essentially incredible, few prophets gets laws in such a detail as Moses, Mostly it’s much more vague.

Anyway, the issue is. In a REpublic, which means RULE by the PUBLIC. LAWS are made by the public, the people.

So there is a conflict there. Laws by G-d, laws by humans.

We in West are much in respect of the public. More often than not, this just ends up being laws by the bureaucracy, and not the people. So it is definitely not a perfect system.

But it is another ideal than laws by G-d.

In Iran/Persia. This is the crux of the matter. I know that the leaders are essentially agreeing with my point as how to treat the people. The repression is essential wrong, it is.

However, the other debate; who writes the Laws, man or G-d, is a point of debate.

I would argue, that that is actually the problem for the Islamic republic. It does not allow the people the rule, or to be free in choosing the laws. I know that there is elections going on. But the balance between the Laws revealed by G-d, and those made by the people NEEDS to shift more in the favor of the people. Effectively giving the people a lot more freedom.

You could actually argue, that that is also the problem of many European countries, where the laws are made so far away from each citizen, that it looses its relationship to the people.

If this happens, the peoples start to be angry, and then repression happens and so on.

To make Iran great again, and truly work. Giving people, truly, the ability to create their own laws, is the most important.

So this is me giving the leadership of Iran the respect they require. Please let us have a debate about it.

G-d bless the will of the Iranian people and may they be free and content, and not demonstrate all the time.
