Actually this talk about demons is at the heart of monotheism, it’s a tough subject, but it is real.
I come from a strictly scientific point of view. I am a Neo platonist, and since Plato kind of was the founder of science, I truly have faith in the principles of Plato; the uncompromising search for truth, logic and dialogue as the tools to create truth and so on.
My quest has been to UNDERSTAND the spiritual realm in the light of Plato.
So Plato has this idea, that g-d is intelligence. At least this is the basic point of Timeus, his main metaphysical book.
As you can see in Michelangelo’s painting.
I have worked a lot on this thesis’s as has many scholars and intellectuals.
My personal experience is, that the intelligence, that is beyond our immediate senses is more a world inhabited by numerous beings. Many angels, demons and other spiritual beings.
They can manipulate our side of the divide, depending on the strength of their powers. Really strong demons can initiate fires, posses people, so and so forth.
Especially your SOUL is very important to protect, unprotected it’s wide open for all kinds of nasties.
That is where prayer comes in, it’s an alignment with the good guys, g-d and his angels.
But keeping a healthy soul is really important, otherwise negative entities will drag you down.
The more you fight the demons, the stronger you need to be.
The issue is, it is very difficult to document. These things are unseen, but probably as natural science will become stronger, ultimately the tools will be strong enough to document this other realm.
In the meantime, priest, rabbis and imams are the protectors of the people. We make shelter, bless and fight the negative entities, to protect our flock.
It’s a true battle that has been forgotten in the aftermath of the French Revolution, where rationalism was at the core of enlightenment.
I am actually not going against enlightenment, I am just arguing, that our tools are not good enough at documenting a dimension that is beyond our immediate senses.
G-d bless the will of the creator, may we have peace.
