Am Israel chai!

So this is my final day (whole day) in Israel.

G-d pulls me in amazing directions. I am sitting in the Israel Museum, wonderful museum, but on my way here, I was treated with the supreme honor of seeing the memorial of the Harel brigade.

This brigade did some of the most heroic defense of Jerusalem, in days of utter desperation.

They did it for the nation of Israel, and I have wanted to sing a song for that project.

Let me give you a song.

Herzl, the Austrian journalist, who founded the idea of a Jewish Nation, he was a child of the romantic national movements, that were in Europe at the time.

A time of Herder and the fight for the people. My own great grandfather Ernst Trier, fought his whole life for another nation, the Danish Nation (he was a Jew).

According to him, and consequently as a child of the same movement that gave us Israel.

Each generation, the heroes of the people must emerge and tie their belts, the beautiful heroes of the nation, to fight for day and the deed.

This did the Harel brigade and consequently all of the soldiers of Israel, sprung up, and tied their belts, to win the day and the deed.

G-d bless the heroes of the IDF, in these trying times, and may the young heroes remember those who gave it all. Am Israel chai!
