The king and queen of Spain will soon arrive in Ceuta and Melilla, islands close to Morocco and thus in the first line between Europe and Africa.
The issue is the migration of a lot of African citizens to Europe and the clash of interests in this area.
Again, I repeat, it is with the greatest respect, that we meet the king of Morocco; his eminence Mohammed VI. We seek a DIPLOMATIC solution to the conflict, respecting the sovereignty and integrity of the Moroccan kingdom.
With the support of the Spanish parliament, we hope to enter into dialogue as to the solution to the problem.
At the same time, we 110% recognize the integrity of the Spanish citizens in harms way. Their security is our responsibility, and we seek to alleviate their pain and insecurity. We are here for you.
This conflict can be solved through peaceful means, and I hope that the support of the Spanish crown, as to that end, is seen as a sincere attempt at making a very peaceful solution to a conflict where many people are in danger.
