I have been a little holding back on debating the Ukraine conflict lately, because it’s extremely dangerous to go against the official party line of pm. Mette Frederiksen here in Denmark.
But you all know my attitude, and luckily the editor of the media that covers the military matters locally here in Denmark are in agreement with me; we need to talk peace.
I hereby give a thank you to the rest of the leaders of Scandinavia for the support of dialogue.
Of cause my prime concern is Danish security.
The thing is, the war is grinding on, people are every day in it.
We have, as I see it, a responsibility for the human cost in that war.
These are human beings, friends, husbands and brothers getting killed in a war that is just caught in the trenches.
There is a lot of 1 world war in this scenario.
What about the human cost, is the question we should pose?
I am firm believer in a forceful security profile, but because I believe that peace requires strength.
At the end of the day, it’s about the Donbass and Luhansk region. Will they be Russian or Ukrainian?
This is the question that needs to be asked and answered.
G-d bless the peace we can find, if we strive for peace.
