All right so, just as a reflection on the media and the military. The military is so used to the media being either against them or not really understanding military strategy and so on. It’s one of the fallacies and problems with modern society, that gives us a weak hand. This seems to have followed into the new media. Which I think is a great opportunity lost we CAN by SUPPORTING our military actually do something else than the classical media with all their news anchors with absolutely no idea about what a war is.
So I have always tried to do the opposite. Again this is a pro military stance and it’s just a support, I am not trying to do anything but support our heroes in uniform. It’s what I would try to call an innovative way of doing international media; reflection, good ideas and so on. It worked very well in the fight against ISIS.
So how about the fight in the Hormuz strait? Well let me try and figure it out. The Iranians have studied us for 47 years, so they are prepared to the teeth, they have studied every angle of any confrontation, and are thus keeping one step ahead of us, all the time.
What they are trying to do now, and I am trying to counter; is to weaken our alliances. By trying to sow dissent through applying pressure on the energy supply, they try to turn the Arabs against the US and Israel. And they are succeeding, to some degree. Israel is hard hit.
It almost succeed with the European allies. But it seems to me, that the alliance is holding. But we have to be VERY observant on this strategy, we can’t fight alone.
Then there is the fight in the Hormuz strait. I think this comes down to technical innovation. The strait is low watered and this gives the larger vessels a huge problem, not to mention, that they become sitting ducks in this narrow strait. This is a technical challenge we need to try and solve.
When Wiston Churchill was entrenched in the trenches in First World War, he figured, we need a machine that brings the boat to land. So he built the tank. The tank is a boat brought to land. Churchill was extremely innovative.
The same applies here in the strait, we need to figure out a weapons configuration, that beats the terrain advantages the Iranian has.
The obvious answer is; drones. Flying drones and swimming drones.
If we can produce a shield made up of autonomous drones, in ai intermeshing. We could effectively control the airspace and sea.
The Ukrainians have made some waterdrones, so they have some experience with this.
In practice; if we patrol the sky and water with mass of intelligent drones, whenever the Iranians peek out of their holes, we can take them down, effectively making a screen. We still need defensive weapons to counter their rockets, but that would be a good start. Off cause the fleet has to be integrated into the strategy, intel must be fed into the system from the drones and so on.
It would make the necessary weapons development that would give us the hegemony over the strait of Hormuz, it would also be a boon for the entire alliance.
G-d bless the will to INNOVATE, may we find a way to find peace at the end of this war.
