When I come to Israel. I would really like to initiate a political/philosophical debate with the Zionist movement.
Zionism is, from a political view, a socialist endeavor. The kibbutz, the faith in community and so in. And from a religious point of view the light upon the nations.
So Zionism actually carries both a left wing as well as a right wing perspective in it.
One of the fascinating perspectives of the debate is; how do we make a new development within Zionism that holds both perspectives.
This I would love to discuss with all religious parties, as well as with the left wing as well.
The fascinating perspective is that, my job is to make a more locked in ideology beneath Zionism.
At least this is the promise. The marriage between right and left in a fresh and newly minted Zionist creed. Drawing on the legacy of Herzl, the generation that built Israel who were socialist many of them, and the same time including the conservative religious perspective.
This is, potentially, a founding opportunity of Israel. Creating a deeper and coherent idea for Israel. Such is the promise of the promised land.
G-d bless Israel and may it prosper for eternity. May we prevail.
