Donald to understand who the Russians are, I think a good starting point is to see them as berserkers.

When they REALLY get threatened, they go into berserkermode.

They call it “the Russian bear”. It’s just Russian culture. It comes all the way back from their viking roots, and it is dangerous. So they have a lot of self confidence. They are far from that berserker point, but they know themselves. A true Russian mobilization is devastating. At the battle of Stalingrad, where Hitler essentially lost the Second World War. The Russians were just producing the same tank the T 34, a rugged, extremely simple yet efficient tank. A bit like the Kalashnikov, it could still fire with half the crew gone and not propulsion. Just endlessly and threw them in at the battle, clogging the battlefield.

That is how Russians fight in berserkermode. They beat the French under Napoleon and Hitler.

So they won’t back down. Just like the Americans in a way.

They have also redone their political system under Putin. Making a Christian social/democratic system. Much like the platform you are standing on.

Now, that is their mentality. At the other side, they are also very warm at heart. Russians are a great people actually. Warm, kind and very free and social.

They are not very angry at the Ukraine, they want to stem the expansion of NATO, and what hurts on them is that Ukraine is joining NATO. The reason is, that Ukraine is their brother nation. So it really hurts them. They feel like loosing a close family member.

The fight is real, and they are doing it. But it is more like the US and Canada fighting than anything.

They are essentially the same people in Ukraine and Russia.

So the trick to make peace is to RECOGNIZE this dillemma.

Yet you need to adress the needs of the Ukraine people as well. I know that Zelensky is a crook and corrupted by the power.

Yet, the PEOPLE of Ukraine are a good people as well.

Respecting their fight is also a key.

So somehow you need to find that balance between the different needs and motivations.

It’s all about saving face.

The compromise is difficult, yet with a sound preparation, you can do it.
