The Islamic republic of Iran is a mix of socialism in the construction of the republic, that is an attempt at remaking a Spartan constitution, and Islam.
Now, why isn’t it working? I have had my OWN rebellion against communism, I grew up in a communist family, or my mum was a communist. But as I grew up, I could see, that there were things that were not working.
What I did was to go to the SOURCE of the communist idea. Understand Karl Marx but also reading Lycurgus, the founder of Sparta, and any other source I could get my hand on.
My main conclusion was two fold. Lycurgus claimed that a community needs a hermetically closed society to work in the long run. Which seems to be right, since his city state Sparta continued for 700 hundred years as a self contained organizational unit.
Karl Marx talked about internationalism, that is the opposite of the idea from Lycurgus. This means, the you need to keep a tight community, if you want it to survive.
The other realization I had was, that you need spirituality for it to survive. Karl Marx was a materialist, I am a spiritualist.
Because idealism and spirituality are two sides of the same coin. Idealism without spirituality just doesnt work.
Now, concerning the problems that the Iranian Islamic republic meets, it’s actually ANOTHER flaw in the communist republic that is a problem.
Lycurgus never talks about a Crypteia or secret police. It was something that was invented over the seven hundred years that the Spartan republic worked. They opressed their SLAVES, the Helots, not the Spartans themselves. By opressing the Iranian public, they are truly treated as slaves, like the Helots.
This actually goes very much AGAINST the idea of the monotheistic religion. Pesach the Jewish celebration we are in now, is the celebration AGAINST slavery. We were freed from Egypt. So naturally G-d doesn’t approve of slavery.
This is really the problem right now, G-d doesn’t approve of the situation that the Iranian people are in. So he punishes the administration.
UNDERSTANDING this is very difficult, but I really think that that is my own conclusion. I get a lot of input from G-d all the time.
CHANGING this flaw in the republic is the only way to serve G-d essentially, this is the challenge.
LEARNING from this conflict is paramount, if the Islamic republic is to survive.
