Concerning the sad tale of the Prince Andrew. This really reflects the challenges that the elite faces these days.
To be honest, I am reviled by the immoral behavior of the Epstein world. Elites doing horrible things to young women. It’s a crime, and I really agree with his eminence Charles, that Andrew should face the full consequences of the law.
Still it’s just a sad story, coming from being a war hero at the Falklands war to be put in prison.
What it essentially comes down to, and this includes all the elite, both royalty as well as in business, politics and art is the fact that, with the internet, all crimes eventually comes to the surface.
You just can’t hide anything in an open internet based world. In fact, that is the whole idea with an open world as discussed by Mr. Niels Bohr, who argued for the internet.
The problem is, as an elite, you have A LOT of privileges, and steering through that world of privileges is difficult.
Being a rock star or a royal gives you access to a lot of women, or men.
However, indulging in the excess of sexual profanity is unhealthy and honestly wrong.
In this way, it actually requires A LOT of discipline and character, to avoid the traps of sexual privilege that you have as an elite.
I daily get new offers of sex, which I refuse, because I truly believe in the one and only. But I would be lying if I didn’t find myself tempted. Who wouldn’t?
Luckily I have always been in this situation, so I am used to it, and know the pitfalls and the shallow life one gets going from girl to girl. I would say, that I had a good upbringing.
But I can really see the temptation there.
In an open world, having the necessary discipline to keep focus on the one and only is however a prerequisite of an elite these days. Otherwise we end up in the Epstein files and get in prison.
It is a very hard balance. But a balance one needs to find nonetheless.
Luckily there are many elites who manages to do this. Not least the king and the crown prince and princess. So it is possible.
