Well there seems to be a realization in the European security theatre, that we actually need to realign our security measures to take more responsibility for ourselves.

I have been a vocal advocate for this point of view, for many years, to the scorn of many an administration, but now the rest of the establishment seems to be on my page.

How may we ACTUALLY, realize this interesting shift in paradigm.

I think, at least for me, it comes down to the difference between Goethe and Nazism.

Let me try and explain. Johan Wolfgang von Goethe was a platonic romanticist like me. Civilized, professing his love for nature, romance and in general; high science.

He built a beautiful world. His decedents; the Steiner school was opposed to Nazism, that was the opposite of Goethe. Base, crass, talking to the lowest elements of humanity.

BOTH were patriotic and supportive of nation and G-d in a people. But in VERY different ways. Where Hitler delved into ancient Nordic ritual of blood magic, Goethe was trying to understand natures dynamics. His understanding of nature is still preserved in Darwinism, though we lack Goethe’s understanding of love as a dynamic in nature and not only the rule of the strong, as was what Hitler saw it as.

In other words, a search for construction, beauty and positivity. Yes Goethe had his Faustian moments, but all in all a “belle epoque” of European culture.

Nationalism and patriotism, that is the prerequisite for a military can be either pro or against Jews. I say we choose FOR Jews this time, and constructivity instead of die hard blood curling warrior ethos.

One aspect we need to include in this new security understanding is the royal institutions. Security is, in many countries not least the UK, tightly knit to the royal institutions. I know them very well, being friends with the royal house of Britain and getting married to the crown princess of Spain. And to be honest, I REALLY stand by their side in all of their challenges.

They need to be factored in, in the equation.

And that is definitely good, because modern royalty is developing in a very positive way. Especially the royal highnesses of Britain the crown prince and crown princess of Britain are really modern and making a stand for transparency and accountability.

So they are constructive partners in a new security paradigm.

I will see what I can do in Spain, to boost the strength of the royal house of the Borbons. At least, I will do my very best to support a strong and wise king; king Felipe VI as we have it, and a very much in love crown princess Leonor. 🤷

What it comes down to, is TRANSPARENCY. We need to look at the security challenges with a keen eye to the real challenges of the security. Here I talk both of the super power challenges we have in east and west. But also internally with a keen rise of Islamism that is, often sponsored by Iran.

We have to take a no nonsense look at it. But again with an eye to humanism as well.

In other words it is a very difficult balance to strike.

But we will work on it on all levels.
