It seems to me, that the current peace negotiations btw. Iran and the US, are actually going in the right direction.
First of all, thank you very much Russia, for the applied pressure to stop the war. It seems to have gotten the attention of the IRGC, and given Mr. Aragchi a clear negotiating mandate.
However, things on the American side seems good as well. Putting in the seasoned diplomat Mr. Wittkoff in the game, is definitely a sweet move. He is REALLY good.
In Israel, we have to realize, that WE are also responsible for the peace in the Middle East. Activistic foreign policy seems to hinder the peace process.
I get it, we have become a regional power player, but if Iran has to stop its constant proliferation of proxy power, so should we. It’s a fair point.
The peace will not happen until both sides stops the war. And the war is as much a proxy war as it is a direct war.
The US is loosing sight of its own priorities in the eastern theatre. Taiwan being a close ally and now threatened by China. It’s not good.
So that conflict is still looming.
Anyway, we are getting closer to some kind peace. Let us just hope, that this time, it’s for good.
G-d bless the will of the creator, may we have peace.
