Innovation

Ok, just for the record, I get it. The EU is really supporting me these days, and I am really grateful, so I will, to the best of my ability, support the EU, in its endeavors.

One of the institutions, that I have noticed are helping, is the central bank of the EU. Thank you very, very much.

Here are some ideas, that you may be able to use, in your work.

First of all, what is really the greatest problem with the business world of the European Union these days?

You guessed it; innovation. We are lacking behind the US and China. Why? Because we are not able to compete, when it gets to finding new ideas, and implementing the new ideas. A good example is the car industry, that is lacking behind the US, still not able to catch up on the riveting computerization of the electric cars, that Elon is doing. Why? Because we lack the skill of computerization. Some of the most important parts of computerization; user friendliness, that Apple and Tesla is leading in, is not even on the table in VW. VW is still trying to figure out how to use the computers, small screens, a little clunky on the controls and so on. It is behind Tesla.

What would have helped here? Someone who understood how to make computers work better in terms of usability.

Anyway, we are simply behind in some areas compared to the US, and that is because, the US used a lot of money and time investing in these matters after the Second World War. The computer industry is essentially a hash out of the Manhattan project that started the nuclear race, and then the race to the moon.

We are falling behind, because we have no serious ambition. We need to invest in good university institutions, that can carry the innovation of tomorrow. We need more MITs and other tech universities to be in world class. That costs money, and we can invest in that. Because we have money, we are just not using that money focused enough to make more industrial moves. So, think about making MITs in Germany, and the other leading university countries.

Then there is the actual innovation. The EU has programs, and I am planning to apply with some of the green tech projects that I am working on. I am working on an energy project and a foresting project. That is, hopefully, successful.

But, we need more capital, that is taking the risk of the innovators.

The banks these days are not prone to invest a lot of money into innovation. But that could Change. If the EIB supported the European banks with money, that the banks could loose with little consequence, they would more into lending money to those who have new and good ideas.

This could be planned and executed pretty easily.

There are many engineers in Europe with good ideas, let’s give them at hand. Not to forget, that would be a very popular move, that the citizens of the EU would appreciate.

G-d bless the will to make good investments, and make the economy stronger.
