Okay, there seems to be a debate on the frame around a new king in Jerusalem.

First of all, maybe the palace should not be in Jerusalem. The British royals have palaces all over.

However, one needs to reflect on the FUNCTION of a palace. Why do we have a palace. First of all, it’s an institution. It’s an institution for diplomacy, and it’s an institution for religious development.

In the Vatican there is the basilica of Peter, a marvel of engineering and beauty. In the Vatican a lot of theological development is made.

In Britain, there is a close connection between Buckingham palace and Oxford.

So there is a natural connection between theology and the palace.

We can, if we do this right, create a space for Jewish theology that REALLY develops the thought and progress of Judaism as a faith.

I have, myself, a burning ambition in this area.

Representation means dining halls and splendor.

To me, classical architecture, that is in direct connection to the temple Herodes made in Jerusalem, is very important. There HAS to be a link between the temple and the palace.

This means using the beautiful sandstone that is traditional for Jerusalem and doing it in the temple style, which is Roman, Herodes was a Roman.

Off cause we have to perhaps include Babylonian and Phoenician elements, since the temple of Salomon was build with the help of Phoenicians and Babylon is where the Talmud is written. Just to get the lore and tradition in place. This requires a classical architect.

I however also have to get organized with my Danish life. I have a family here, that I need to sort out. Everyone knows how these Aliyah processes are REALLY difficult.

But with a palace that is grand and impressive, we can invite foreign dignitaries and house the Arab royalty in style. Something they will REALLY appreciate.

That is how I think we could proceed. A combination of learning and royalty.

Such an institution would probably be one of the most prestigious in the world, if not the most prestigious in the world. It would help my beautiful Israel immensely.
