So I am on my way home to Denmark, and just THANK YOU, for a wonderful stay. NOT having the police on my tail considering, is actually a nice relief. Just as much as I am just a mainstream, supporter of Israel in Israel. In Denmark, I am living in the underground, unfortunately.
But that is just the Jewish story, for Israel, is a safe haven for refugees. And for all of its faults, this function, as a place to come to, when you are persecuted, is the point of Israel’s existence.
So thank you for a weeks holiday away from persecution.
Now, I have been thinking about my role a bit more.
And what Israel needs right now, is someone to build bridges and make unity in the country.
The main reason for all the conflicts are the unwritten constitution. The divide between right and left is much deeper and stronger, because the state is still kind of half baked. It’s a miracle in itself that Israel has managed to function so far without a constitution.
A constitution is a work of art, at least seen from a philosophical perspective. Solon made the constitution of Athens, Lycurgus the constitution of Sparta and some bright Oxfordians made the constitution of the US.
Essentially a constitution is a blueprint for a society, Athens was very democratic, so they made a very democratic constitution, Sparta was, well Sparta, and was made to life for over 700 years. That is a long time for an idea.
So we philosophers make these architectural wonders, and there is no better candidate to make the new constitution, than me.
So, let’s just forget a bit about the Mosiach process and focus on making Israel function as a political entity.
I will have to make it A JOB, so I will reach out to right and left, and see if we perhaps could make a shared political platform, so that no side is preferred, but a UNITED Israel is the goal, for both right and left.
G-d bless the unity we can find. May Israel live forever.
