It’s kind interesting, I am beginning to have a lot of rockstars as readers on the blog and probably also on Facebook.
It seems to me, that I have kind made a stand for religion in rock.
It seems to work. Yungblood, the new shining star is finding a way to spiritually and back to his own family. That’s not bad.
But also Steven Tyler seems to embrace spirituality. Talk about that, I have been a Tyler fan for many years. I really like his style.
It comes back to working class I think. Rock stars are essentially working class heroes. And since working class has found its roots in a way, it makes sense.
I am definitely not judging in any way. Finding something good in life is not a bad thing. And end of the day, family is what drives a good man’s life.
I am rebel as well. I used to hang out with the Charlie Hebdo crowd. Those who got shot by terrorist.
Talk about that. Many of my artist friends have been killed. Lars Vilks, an amazing painter, he was murdered not long ago.
That is rebellion if there ever was rebels.
I think, from my experience. Being a good man, is a choice and daily chore.
But, at the end of the day. If you can look at your children, and say with pride, that that job I did okay. Then that is a life worth living. I talk from my own experience. The sacrifices I have had to do, to be a good dad has been immeasurable. But you know, when my children are happy and feel safe, that is what makes me proud. Never abandon your children, if you are lucky enough to have them.
Family IS a first.
When you are a rockstar attention comes easy. But the depth of true connection is not easy. It’s just the way it is.
But thank you guys, just remember to find that balance between being a rebel and being a good man. That is real working class ethos.
G-d bless the good man, and may we all be one of those.
