Conflict in the Mediterranean

In the conflict between the kingdom of Spain and the kingdom of Morocco, my first comment is, take it easy.

Nothing has changed, the political issues are the same, and a wider conflict between Spain and Morocco is NOT in any of either country’s interest.

The geo political challenges are, that there is a massive migration from the poorer areas of Africa to Europe. It’s NOT the fault of Morocco neither of Spain.

With that in mind, a sincere and constructive view on the conflict is paramount.

This includes; looking at the problems themselves and trying to solve them. I hear, that his majesty Mohammad VI is talking about the issues and is calling the international society for support. Morocco is housing massive camps, that are devoid of any kind of law and order.

It’s these problems that Morocco see as an INTERNATIONAL cause for concern. We hear you on this. Essentially it is a horrendous international trend, that is caused by countries that are not working here and there in Africa. Failed states creating flood waves of migrants.

Morocco calls these issues and we hear you.

At the same time, we will not compromise the integrity of Spanish territory. It is OUR duty to protect the citizens on the territory of Spain, and not doing that to avoid the conflict is our duty to be less served.

We ALSO have to talk about the migrants, who are living in poverty and in a humanitarian crisis.

It’s a problem.

We HAVE to be able to talk about solutions and fixing the problem.

I hereby, as a part of Spanish community, call for a constructive, problem solving path.

G-d bless the reality of Spain and Morocco, may we have peace.
