Concerning the security situation in Europe. I believe that we have one card, that the Americans do not have; we have a longer history.
We know the Russians, from the time of the initiation, a thousand years ago.
We have had to fight them, make peace with them and so on.
In other words, we know each other’s limits and what to expect.

But, this forces the Russian side to escalate with larger rockets. Ukraine bombs cities in Russia, Russia escalates.
This is where I REALLY support a German lead deal making.
The objective; to stop the war.
The Russians prefer someone they know, but the Germans have their own priorities. So we will see.
But the escalation is definitely happening, and it is an issue.
I just hope, that the negotiator is good, that is what this is about.
