There is a lot of TALK about developing the Middle East, but how do we do it?
First of all, right now the Middle East is much too dependent on oil revenues. It’s money in the bank, but it’s running out in terms of profitability. The constant battles in the Middle East really hurts its main business. Which is a main argument for stopping the wars. China is rapidly changing its energy production to sustainable alternatives to fossil fuels and so do the rest of the world.
In other words, USING the rare occurrence of a lot of wealth at doing something else than buying weapons is the best course of action.
The issue is, DEVELOPMENT is EXTREMELY difficult, it requires hard work and a spread of geniuses to figure out the development. People like Elon Musk, Darwin, Tesla and Edison.
This again requires a focused work on making the frames and the business environment flexible and sturdy.
Peace in other words.
Like my project of making a pitch at doing agriculture in the desert, it’s a daring project. And it’s risky, but that is the nature of innovation. You try and try and try, and all of a sudden the attempts at making something new works and you have the next cash cow.
People in the Middle East are pretty intelligent. But the constant wars destroys the ability to make the Middle East prosperous.
And the clock is ticking, all the money spend on the arms race, could have been used in innovation. Improve the learning institutions, create environments of business angels and risk takers.
China has been really good at this, the same should the Middle East do.
We can just DECIDE and say, okay, stop the wars and start focusing on innovation instead. Imagine all the good minds of Iran figuring things out to improve the business life of Iran.
So this is the message; stop the wars, and start to INNOVATE.
My project includes some of the best minds of gene therapy in the word plus some world renowned foresters.
That is a good start, to make the desert flourish.
G-d bless the progress of the Middle East, may we have peace.
