In the historical deal between Israel and Lebanon, one needs to see it from the point of the view of Iran.
Why do Iran support Hezbollah? Because they see them as an oppressed part of Lebanon, the same goes with the Arabs of Gaza.
This may not feel right from an Israeli perspective. And we have just been through a 7’th October. But understanding the views of our adversaries is important, on the path of peace.
My point is, it’s absolutely within our rights and international obligations to protect ourselves.
This is the aim of the current deal with the Lebanese government.
We work together to end the war. Not subdue anyone.
It’s about peace and stability of the region and the end of hostilities.
