Are we really, as a race, the human race, able to make a peace that is world spanning?

It seems to me, that we actually are.

Especially the Muslims are actually on a very positive path towards this world spanning ideal.

It is really mind bending.

Why is it important? Because as we develop technologically, our ability to destroy ourselves as a human race increases.

This is the very idea behind the internet as defined by the physicist Mr. Niels Bohr, who was responsible for the development of the nuclear bombs.

He claimed, that an open world would lead to peace.

So as his disciple in a way, I have tried to realize this noble aim.

An open world, where we all start to know each other, for real, hopefully leads to peace. While as a world where the enemy is vilified and demonized is a world where there is strife.

The idea harks back to Mr. Bohrs good friend Mr. Løgstrup, who was my predecessor here in Denmark, the leading philosopher at his time.

He claimed that openness, trust and mercy are psychological traits all humans are born with, and through the abandonment of ethics, we loose that trust. Ethics is there to make trust and thereby create openness.

Hopefully Mr. Løgstrup was right, at least we are all in his ideological world right now; open source, open networks and so on.

The internet is a consequence of the Second World War, and the tool with which the great American civilization is making its mark. For peace.
