Peace and unity of Israel

There is an election coming up in Israel. And this my way of handling it.

First of all, I have been a good friend of Mr. Netanyahu for twenty years. He has led Israel through some of the most dangerous and difficult times. I will NEVER stop respecting Mr. Netanyahu. He is, by all means, brilliant.

I hope he continues.

At the same time, I am supposed to be a uniting figure. So I will do my best, to support any good man or woman who tries to make a bid for a better Israel.

I see that the left is scrambling and trying to find a path. In a VERY conservative mood in Israel, that is not easy. But holding on to essentially a uniting stance, trying not to push our friends and enemies further away is important.

The most contentious debate right now is the divide between the religious and the secular part of Israel.

This is definitely an area we need to adress. How do we find a balanced respect for each other.

I have, honestly, a foot in each camp, so I will use my skills as an intellectual, to support a path of reconciliation.

This needs to be fixed.

It comes down to finding a fair compromise, that both sides feel is right. This we have to work on.

There is still the JOB I need to find. It’s not easy, but I will prowl on, and try to find a solution to it. It will take a few tries, it always does, and it also requires a bit of debate.

But, let’s focus on the material level. I may not be king, but I AM a first rate philosopher, and using my skills to solve some of the contentious issues that creates division within in Israel is a good thing.

G-d bless the peace and unity of Israel.
