Peace in Ukraine

When we talk about strategy and how to solve a conflict. To my experience, it comes down to UNDERSTANDING the conflict.

There is off cause raw power that is wielded and has effect. It’s nothing new, the rule of the strong is the basis of any conflict in any international scenario. The UN doesn’t work anymore.

So then we are forced to UNDERSTAND each others in order to find peace.

Take the Ukraine crisis. This has been going on for fifteen years, more or less. It comes down to the lack of RESPECT the West has had towards Russia, and at the same time the dogged resistance of the people of Ukraine.

This concoction is brewed on lack of understanding the true issues.

There are things that REALLY anger the Russians, like the Azov regiment, based on a Nazi ideology. Off cause this angers the Russians, especially if you let them loose on areas with a surplus of Russian speaking citizens.

But at the end of the day. It’s more about the future.

What do we WANT in Europe. War or peace.

The thing is, now it’s our own responsibility. Which means that we can decide for ourselves. So, how do we want to live side by side with Russia?

Yes we can make an endless war, but is it a good idea?

To me it doesn’t make any sense to wage a war, that just makes us all more poor and weaker.

We should focus on rebuilding our economies. We are lacking behind.

Strategy in this sense is about looking at the overall picture. War brings famine and destruction. Peace brings abundance.

G-d bless the peace we can find.
