I think, that the principle of retaliation is a sound principle for Israel to build upon.
We cannot be conquering other peoples or places, but we are within moral rights to fight back, when we are threatened.
I REALLY support peace in the Middle East. And I see, how Israel is getting deeper into the quagmire (how is the support for my trip to Israel going, by the way? 👍😊).
We need to turn the downward momentum around. I think I have done so, in many ways internationally, but we need to do the same militarily in the Middle East.
So, if the principle of retaliation is followed, it can make us predictable and a viable partner.
All the ideas of conquering, Neo colonialism, that is just unacceptable. It’s poison to our stance in the world.
We can defend ourselves, but colonialism, that will fuel all the wrong prejudices against us.
