The gulags

All right, so this is a reflection on my relationship to Israel. Especially in the light of the whole Greenland debacle.

I have a hero called Sarinsky. This guy lived under much the same circumstances as I do. He was a prisoner in the Soviet Union, and was imprisoned. A powerful, intelligent and good man. He was a minister in the last Netanyahu government.

So he escaped the Gulag, and managed to get to Israel. As he said, he went from hell to heaven.

Now, this is a story about the relationship between Jews and Israel. If it hadn’t been for Israel, where should Saransky have gone to?

With me, it’s essentially the same. If I stay here much longer. I will tear the country to pieces. And though Denmark had treated me as it has, I still don’t want to destroy it. I actually have morals.

So the best path is to get to Israel.

So, I know Israel needs me, but by Hashem, do I need Israel. To get out of the prison, the abuse, the torture. THAT is what Israel is for the Diaspora. A safe heaven, when people are putting Jews in prison.

G-d bless the will to get to Israel. 🇮🇱
