What about the ETHICS of Israel. I thought a lot about it, when I was in Jerusalem.
A king represents the ideas of g-d. The UNIQUENESS of g-d, compared to polytheism (creeds where you have many g-ds) is, among other things, that g-d is very ETHICAL. The Ten Commandments, the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah. G-d gets REALLY angry, if you sin, especially if you keep sinning and not taking your responsibility for others seriously. The commandments and the wrath of g-d is real.
He is a bit like a good dad in a way, trying to steer us. Well, we can be forgiven for many things, but there are limits!
This is the core of any kind of kingdom, you REPRESENT g-d. You are his voice, he talks to the king, and the king relays his messages. It’s an artform, Joseph was a master of deciphering the dreams of the Pharaoh (the king of Egypt). This is extremely important, because the language of G-d is dreams. It’s real, at least for me. It has been a life saver many times.
But INTERPRETING the dreams is very difficult. It’s a vague language at best. But there is a structure to it. There are COMMANDMENTS, and then just good ideas.
Also, people who are really spiritual can reach you through dreams. The physical mechanics of this is really hard to decipher. But I guess, there is a way to communicate through the ether. I need to debate this with the physicists.
However, sorry for ranting; the ETHICS of a king is extremely important. Because it’s extremely important to G-d.
In Spain, they have this BEAUTIFUL tradition of wearing white, representing purity, that is moral purity. It’s a special privilege and a difficult thing to work around for the Spanish royalty. I know, being a part of that family.
Her Majesty Sophia, the grandmother of Leonor, she is REALLY pure in her ways, also her son his majesty Philip, is a really positive and good person. I really admire him a lot.
To reflect this, they have this honor of wearing a white suit.
Leonor will, hopefully, bring this tradition to the Jewish crown.
