We just finished the weekly Chabad class (a Jewish religious organization), and we had this amazing reflection after on conflict solution, that gave some ideas, that I really want to share.

So, we talked about; how to make people have faith, especially if you are in a very atheist environment, how do you make people believe? Generally, we thought that pointing fingers and telling people what to do, was a bad thing. So we came up with a, I think, positive reflection on it; it’s about the STRENGTH OF THE EXAMPLE. Strength meaning moral strength, charisma, beauty and truth.

It’s something that I have noticed about my “work” here in the sub world of Denmark. The more conflicted, dark, destructive and morally corrupted, the more beautiful the people you work with are. As an example, the leader of the council behind my Facebook tv station, he is seriously just a living angel. He is so strong and wise and I have the utmost respect for him. He goes where no one else dares, he is probably one of the best people I have ever known. He is just amazing.

The strength of his example is just boundless. He is so courageous and mild at the same time. Humble.

Also it’s also being creative in conflict solutions. The Gaza conflict will just go on endlessly, unless we find a NEW solution.

Also I met this social worker once. She had this amazing method of conflict solution. She helped in some of the most absurd and heartbreaking conflicts.

Usually the fathers of families who loose their kids to the city council, they are really aggressive. They fight for their children, it’s often totally heartbreaking.

She said, instead of fighting so much, be totally positive. So when the system does good things, applaud it. In this way, you can make themselves work for you.

It works.

So being creative and finding positive solutions in a conflict is a much better way, than just trying to force people to surrender.

Do the deal, with skill, I guess that is the point.

Maybe this can help in some of the hotspots around the world. Sometimes you have to put on your gear, brace for another day and sing to angels for battle prowess. It happens, but doing deals is about being creative and finding good solutions where we are all winnners.
