That tour in the old Knesset I did a few days back, that was really a game changer for me.
I didn’t know to the extent of what Israel was as a socialist country in the beginning.
It’s amazing. I am finally beginning to understand the mission and also the promise of a merging between religious Israel and secular Israel.
I come from a communist background. My mum was a communist, and I grew up in a communist environment. But I split with it, because I realized, that without g-d any society will be corrupted. The state control, the egoism, the putting money in your pocket.
But also within the society, g-d guides us. Without that guidance it just ends up as one big mechanical society.
And I am right, Denmark today in the social services, that I have fought a lot in, to make better, is a nightmare.
For a state to be run with a heart, g-d needs to be in the mix
As a direct descendant to the frankfurter school and so on. This carries a lot of weight.
Enter Israel, and the situation here. These are EXACTLY the issues with which Israel is grappling. The same divisions.
But it can be mended, bridges CAN be built. So that Israeli society is united once more.
May Israel find unity.
