When you are doing something that people take for granted, rarely they thank you in the situation, it is always when you have finished what you do, that the thank you comes. This makes a heavy job a lonely position. It is ok, but is like that.
Today is my birthday, I would like the whole world to cheer and all my friends and family to stop by. This is not happening, because i am an outcast. But that is the price for enlightenment. The loneliness and the solitude on the top of the iceberg.
Never mind, my battle continues, through draft and drought, through enemy occupied territory, through blizzards and halos. Because at the end of the day, what matters is the thing you did when you were lonely and people hated you. The character of a man is valued in his most dark hour, not in his moment of fame.
But, a single salutation from a dear friend would be deeply appreciated, it does not have to be. But I would really appreciate it deeply.
G-d bless us all
