Keep the liberal constituency united

August 8th, 2024

The main thing, that Barack and I got right in his presidency, was the relation between the two main parts of the liberal constituency; minority leaders and blue collar workers.

This is not easy, as we have seen in the UK, they are often at odds, and if you do not make that balance work, things start to unravel, and it can unravel very fast.

So far, the midleaning approach that we have been doing, have really worked, and has inspired mr. Trump to a degree. The main constituency that is up for grabs are the workers.

So, they need to be understood and worked with to be in the party.

This means jobs, getting production back from China, and also a certain element of patriotism. Blue Collar workers are patriotic, hard working Americans. The same goes for Great Britain.

Finding that balance is very difficult, because there is a lot of potential conflict between the workers and the minorities.

It is a very stark warning for the EU as well. We need to keep the workers respected and heard.

Climate change is another issue, where the interests clash. If we make projects where the workers feel not heard, things start to unravel. Yet of they can see themselves in the projects, they are ok.

In Aalborg I met with the local Union boss, and he was quite critical towards electric cars being, prioritized, but he loved building windmills. So there is a very difficult line to walk there.

It requires very keen eyes on the trajectory of the priorities, and a keen eye on the different potential for conflict.

In the US, we have succeeded, that was the whole idea behind Change, yet we still have not suceeded in Europe. The first term of ms. Frederiksen, but then she abandoned Change, and has been gutted ever since.

The UK, well you can see for yourself. That is the very nightmare scenario I have been trying to avoid.

G-d bless the will to keep minority leaders and workers united.
