The true heroes of this war is not us, who have been doing the strategizing and international diplomacy.
It’s those brave souls who fought the war. Those who crept around in tunnels, and fought like birds of prey in the air.
All of those. I do recognize this.
So many fallen as well, not coming home. Lives stopped, not lived.
Yet as the advent of a new Israel is in the horizon. These sacrifices are for that. That there is a home to come back to.
Not only for me and you, but all of those Jews who are in harms way.
It’s that that all the lives spilled essentially is given for. The security of a home that we can live in for, as long as we are able to.
They say, that the blood of the heroes is the water of the tree.
The tree being the life of Israel and the nation.
The nation will live for a thousand years on the blood in this war. Because it was given so valiantly and boldly.
Thank you for the sacrifice, and we will try and live up to your example.
