Understanding the international game of politics requires some understanding of the internal conflicts within the Muslim world.
There are, essentially, two main directions of Islam; sunni and shia.
But within each branch, there are several subdivision. The sunni world, which is essentially Arab islam, there are many different strands, not at least the Arab countries themselves. Here Saudiarabia is the leading light of the Sunnis, with its most sacred sites and the leading ideologies.
At the other side, there is shia islam, which is essentially the Persian version of Islam, that is a mix of Zoroastrianism, liberal ideology and Arab Islam. The leading light of this strand of islam is Iran.
The third, but not least power of islam is Turkey, that calls for its own right, since it is the heir to the Eastern Roman Empire.
Now, we have, more or less, peace with the Shia and the Arab sunni.
Especially the Arab Sunni have become greats friends. We are still in trouble with the Persians, but the most problems we have is the Turks, that still envision the might of the Ottoman Empire.
The Uighurs are turks.
So, in order to find some balance in this game, we need to balance the different interests off. We need to be seen, as someone who UNDERSTANDS the internal game of the Muslims. That is the only way, that we can be seen as some kind of viable partner in the Middle East, and in the conflict with China.
It is difficult, but necessary.
The good news is, that we are here already, and we have made a lot of progress. In fact Trump continued the development that we had under Obama, so we are a very respected partner.
So, small steps, no revolution, but a careful approach, should hopefully develop a better, more balanced view on western attempt at playing a constructive role in the Middle East.
We shouldn’t abuse our power, but we shouldn’t be seen as weak either.
So there is the problem with Turkey, that we need to address. Here the Europeans must get their game together. If not, soon floods of migrants will start again. We need to be seen as a positive og forceful partner in the Mediteranean.
G-d bless the peace we can find.
The current ideological and strategic choices the Biden administration makes has to be professional, founded on a deep understanding of the issues, and hopefully pull the allies with it.
Otherwise the US will be diminished in power, lose the leadership.
Right now, France is battling ISIS on its own home front. We have teachers standing up for freedom of speech a Socialdemocratic president gearing up for at confrontation, all in all brave, wise and intelligent playing the international power game.
France is a rising force in international politics. If France can cooperate with Germany, Europe will be leading the fray.
This is why a thoughtful, multilayered strategy is important.
They Uighurs are persecuted due to the fact, that they seek their own dominance over their land. That is perfect, and respectable. But what if a caliphate will be the result of a American pressure on China. I mean, one thing is, that we are in the hairs of each other, but are we really going to war to make a caliphate?
The Uighurs are not Turks through and through. But Turks seem to be their natural ally, and right now, Europe and Russia seems to be pretty annoyed with Turkey, so an alliance with a ally that will potentially push the Europeans away, giving Europe the mantle and leading role of the world, is that really not something we need to think about.
We Europeans are, in a strange war, much more used to fighting on our own turf, so we will not be shying away for a battle with ISIS here in Europe. We have been cut down and demoralized. But we are pretty good at fighting when it comes to it.
I mean, we have conquered the entire world not more than 70 years ago, because essentially we are fighters. It goes all the way back to our Viking ancestors. France is named after a Viking tribe called the Franks.
My point is, we need to be smart about this, to get back in the game and lead. My natural inclination is to back the US. We have been friends, we are both humanistic Democracies and so on. But France, Germany and the UK are all pretty awesome powers add to this Russia.
So my point is, maybe it is important to think about all the details and the possible inclinations. Look at the game four years down the road, who are we hopefull to be allied with, and what is most natural.
The most natural is to ally ourselves with other humanistic democracies, not possible terrorists.
Just saying.
G-d bless the will to find solutions to difficult problems.
The main confrontation right now, is the confrontation between the US and China.
Why? Because it has the potential to develop into an all embracing world war, with nukes and the whole ballgame. Armageddon.
So we need to be really, really careful how we tackle this conflict.
Ok, so now we ally ourselves with the Uighur. That is fine, really, just the other day some smuck wrote to me; first we take the Uighur, then we take the Jews.
So, there is definitely a parallel there.
BUT, this is where we have to tread carefully. If we paint ourselves into a corner, we will start a atomic war. Say that the Chinese ignores our pleas to help the Uighur, and rhetoric builds, where will we end?
The problem is, that we are not really facing a liberation war of the Uighur, we are facing a geopolitical struggle for sovereignty in the pacific. So using the Uighur as a cause can win over some hearts and minds, but it will also, potentially leave us in a corner with the wrong allies. Because who are the Uighur allied with?
So my take on this would be; tread very carefully, be predicatable, so that we avoid the nuclear war.
We are in a war with China, that is as it is, but finding bad excuses for throwing nuclear warheads over Beijing, is a very bad idea.
Add to this the fact, that Europe is gearing up for a war with ISIS, the US will loose the initiative in the European theatre.
So, leadership is about getting real about the different priorities in the world, it is not in the interest of Europe, Russia or any other coalition to support the Uighur 100%, but it is a priority to tackle China for most large powers, so a balanced and skilled priority here is really important.
Let China feel, that there is a certain liberty in their affairs, but push them hard economically as well on humanistic values. See that China liberates the Uighurs, but don’t threaten to nuke Beijing if they don’t.
See? It is a diplomatic dance, that needs to lead to somewhere.
G-d bless the peace we will find in the end.
To understand the way of the US, one needs to understand what it really is. To me, this was realized, when I attended the symposium in Oxford a few months back, and heard a lecture of two esteemed gentlemen on Johnny Cash. One thing really sprung to attention, and that was the dream of the US as of being a new Israel.
This is really the background story behind the unwavering support of the US to Israel, and the reason why Israel and the US is so close. Because as Israel is the home of the Jews, it is also a part of the American dream.
Now, before we start lecturing on this topic, which I believe is pretty much what the US is all about, I believe, that we should go back a step, and look at what Israel really is, or is supposed to be.
It is all written in the Bible, in the story about Adam and Eve. It says, that Adam Kadmon, as we call him in Jewish circle, the first man, was a man living in Eden.
So this is really the key to understanding Israel, because what is Israel? It is the religious attempt at coming back to Eden as a place here on earth.
And this is really where things get interesting, because then the next logical or obvious question is; what is Eden?
If you look at the Bible or the Thorah from a superficial perspective, you do not really get it. Eden seems to be a place in heaven or something of that nature. But the true perspective is, that Eden, or rather Eridu, the first city of man, actually existed.
So what is really the interesting thing about this city of Eden?
The thing is, that according to my research, and other research done in the Middle East, Eridu is the home of all the mechanisms and lore of mankind; religion, city state ideas, law and so on.
Eden is, if we perfect the ideas given to us in the Middle East by the city states that sprung up there.
See? It is something real. Something attainable.
That is the truth behind the American Dream, Israel is real and attainable. We do not have to be forced to go down as miserable, unhappy people. We can actually, by building a good system according to all the eternal principles of Eden as a city, make a Utopia, it is real.
So that is what we need to remember and tell ourselves from time to time, the job is not finished, it has just started, the dream needs its builders to finish the job. There is still some way to go.
G-d bless the United States of America and Israel.
The European attachment to Russia through Germany seems to bear fruit when it comes to Turkey. If Germany and Russia allies itself against Turkey, the whole European theater will look very different.
Why, because then the European defense contractors would have a reasonable levy against Turkey.
War is possible, but instead of being the punchball of everybody as we Europeans are right now, we would be able to muster some defense.
Since Germany holds the chairmanship of the European Union, through the alliance with Russia, Europe would be on a good course.
This is the crux of the matter, and a possible way to change the dynamic in the Mediterranean.
But, and this is really the most difficult problem, the European countries are infiltrated on all levels by Turks, but also other potential enemies from the Middle East.
We need to be able to do something about this, purge the spies.
I know, that that seems a bit harsh, but spies are enemies, we need to remember that. They are here to destroy our systems.
Anyway, the alliance with Russia through Germany shows a whole lot of promise, and can we at least start purging some of the Islamist infiltration, then that would be a start.
This is really what the defense cooperation is all about, and if it works, we may just start playing a role internationally again.
But we need to be very tough on the spies and infiltration in general. Shut down the infiltration points like radical mosques, Islamist dens in schools, if we find spies in the ministries and so on. We need to get going on this, catch the spies, before they do more damage.
G-d bless the will to be a big international player again.
Praying is one of those tools of the faithful, that is more than just idle past time.
We do it to be heard by spirit, and to change our lives.
Now, Christianity is very much on its heels in most of the Western world. I see this, and I understand, as a Jew, that this is a challenge for the West. Because without the beating heart of the culture, things demoralize and corrupts.
We need to understand, that spirit is a part of the way society should be understood. Because if we stop looking for goodness, what is left? It is the valiant fighters for good, both in the army and as a democratic force outside the army, that are the pillars of society.
Now, don’t get me wrong, goodness is always supposed to be understood in the situation, and should never be a cold truth. But it is something we should strive for.
Here again, prayer is the most important tool, why? Because it keeps us on the path of spirit, and on the path of righteousness.
How? Since g-d is what is good, then praying will let g-d inspire us to do what is good. And if he helps us, from time to time, then it will always be in a direction that will either heal or further the goodness of man.
So the more you pray, the better the environment around you will become. This is why we are demoralized right now. We do not have faith.
So, what should the church do? It should project faith, and seek to further beneficial solutions in society. Help, do good deeds, and inspire people to pray.
Because through prayer, all will be much stronger. The Christian church, the clergy, the people around the church, and the solutions good politicians do.
Strength in unity and prayer, is a main focus for all who see themselves as good Christians. I say this as a Jew, and to further the mission of Israel; to be a home for all monotheistic religions.
G-d bless the struggling Christians, and may they prevail.
How do the US pick up the beacon of Democracy that it once held, and should hold again, to my mind?
Well, we need to start all over again, a lot of the progress Barack and I did in his presidency is now pretty much gone, and to honest, we did make some mistakes, that we did try to mend after.
Anyway, what do we do?
Well, as I see it, we need to find the right things to do, and then do them.
I believe, that the support of the Burmese democratic insitutions is a step in the right direction, but we need to do more, and we need to be able to say; well in the US the system is good, look this is how you do Democracy, by having freedom of speech and a robust protection of the laws of the founding fathers. Add to this a humanistic attitude, there you have it, a great way to make a policy.
In this way, by being a good example, things may just move forward. But we need to be able to look at ourselves, and be very ethical about how we do Democracy ourselves, being a good example is pretty important when you seek to bolster and further an ideal.
So, it is both an internal process of trying to live up to the ideals ourselves, as well as projecting Democratic power where it is necessary. But it is a narrow ethical path to walk, and it is the best system of government so we need to bolster that idea again and again, being good persons, thinking good thoughts and making good acts.
G-d bless Democracy.
It seems to me, that the UK environment generally is getting a bit better. The depression and misfortune has been turned around, and we are working towards brighter times.
The basic reason of this development is the fact, that the entire system can now refer to itself, and not to a greater organisational unit.
The wounds are slowly healing, and we have had the incident with Captain Tom, that somehow reminded us of what we are. The resilience in the face of danger, the sheer bravery and the family of the beautiful Moores.
The ‘we shall overcome’ seems to be heard as a faint echo in the soul of the nation. Soon spring will be there and the nation will lift itself up once again.
This is something special, only the brits could have done it, and it will be a very beacon of hope to others whom will want to be like the brits.
There is a lot of work to be done, and hopefully, when we get out of the depression, this is possible in a focused and serious manner. A ‘can do’ spirit.
Captain Tom showed us that, let us follow his example.
G-d bless the fair isles of the British, and may it overcome.
We are trying to find our feet again in the Middle East, and since, I have become a player again, these are my ideas about the Middle East, that gave a lot of progress the first time, so maybe it can continue.
We need to be very careful not to be involved in the feud between the Arabs and the Persians. We are supposed to bring peace, and we can only do that, if we do not play the internal game in between the Persians and the Arabs, that is Iran and the Arabian kingdoms including Egypt (they are not Arabs, but have a close relationship to the Arabs).
The continued infighting between the sunni and shia is one of the main motors of the conflicts of the Middle East. So if we want to make peace, fuelling these conflicts is not the right way to do it.
Contrary, we need to find a way to balance the interests off, and be the man in the Middle.
To me, that is what Israel is all about, not taking sides, but making the holy land a place for all monotheistic life.
Again we shouldn’t be naive, but we should not fuel any conflicts either.
So a diplomatic, balanced yet forceful view is to my mind the way forward. Make small steps, not long strides, and make peace.
G-d bless the peace we can find in The Middle East.
The world is turning a lot these days, and one of the main places where things Change is the Middle East.
Since trump took over, not much has really happened in the Middle East, yes I know that mr. Netanyahu has attacked Iran, but it has been a pretty one sided action from Israel towards Iran, and not very much the other way.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe in the advent of a safe haven for Israel, after all, where would I go myself if things ever got more hairy here in Denmark for me.
So the whole mission of making a safe zone for Jews is, without discussion, the most important for any Jew, period.
But be as it may, there are many roads to peace.
When Barack and I left the Middle East four years ago, the framework for how things are today were pretty much in place. The Arabs were warming up to Israel, and actually even though it was a pretty one sided deal, the Iranians agreed to a peace accord concerning atomic warheads.
This has not changed much, only the fact, that the Arab world has recognized the whole process and has become friends of Israel.
There is just the one fact that Israel needs to be realistic about. The whole peace process is not really a process initiated by Trump, it was initiated by Obama and me.
So the framework rests on the foundation we laid out, which is the whole idea and vision of the great Lawrence of Arabia. That a recognition of the valiant desert warriors of the sand and the homecoming merchants of the Jewish tribe would find some common ground.
But at the very heart of the deal lies the fact that both I and Obama had Muslim fathers.
For me, I have a Jewish mother of sorts, at least the Jewishness of my family that goes back to the founder of my mothers family Mendel Levin Nathanson, I have a kind of dual background.
That is the bedrock of the deal, not Trump, not anything else, but the fact that there is a true Jewish leader with a paternal Muslim background. It makes the Arabs trust us, right?
So, looking at the peaceprocess coming up, my recommendation would be, at least for Israel, to be realistic about these circumstances. The day I fall, the war will start again. I am the keeper of the peace, and due to my doublebackground it is possible.
You guys need to keep me working, otherwise war will start again.
At the other hand, concerning Iran. Going 180% and reinstall the JPOAC, would be hazardous. Mr. Netanyahu has tied so much political capital in keeping Iran at bays, that we cannot, without loosing mr. Netanyahu just gong ho peace accord again.
We need to test the waters, and hear mr. Netanyahu out. He needs to be in the loop.
So that is the lay of the land, add to this the rising conflicts in Europe, you have a difficult game to play. But if we look at it from outside, we can find peace, if we are realistic and honest about these issues, and not least have a realistic and profound strategy.
That is what this phase is about, trying to figure out the boundaries of the conflict, and where they may lay.
For me, it is about being a player in the Middle East again, that is what my understanding is about.
G-d bless the will to find a smart and honest solution to these problems, G-d bless the stat of Israel, the safe haven of the Jews.
It is getting increasingly difficult for me to comment on the world situation.
The conflicts are rising, and being a man of peace, this is a problem.
I believe in a liberating war or a war to solve conflicts, where no other option is available.
If one side keeps on fighting, the other side needs to fight as well, that is the way the world works. We all live in the same world, and believing that paradise is easily available is a folly, it can be reached through hard word and sacrifice, but truly the material world will put up barriers for us to climb.
War is a part of the material world, and only if we get to have a wise and honest approach to war, will we reach a peaceful world, that is the paradox of the world.
You have to be able and willing to fight evil, to have peace.
This in no way means, that we have to conqour the world, and subdue it, but it means, that we have to defend ourselves.
Wartidings are rising and the drums are beating, not to hear these drums is a folly. Putting our heads in the sand, will not be of any use to us. But an honest appraisal of the conflicts we approach is the only way forward.
We have lived in peace for so long, now it is over.
China rises to meet our challenge, islamists in Europe are threatening the integrity of the democratic state.
These challenges will lead to war, one way or the other, and we need to be able to address them. Be what we also are; warriors of light.
Sad as it is, this the world we are living in. Ignoring it, will be at our peril, rising to meet the challenges with candor and wisdom is the sad, but only true way.
It really saddens me to convey these tidings, but as the Romans said; if you want to avoid a war, you have to be ready for war at all time. We need to be ready for war to be able to avoid it.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
G-d bless the peace we strive to find.
Well here we are again, back at the helm, trying out very best to Change things in a direction that seems both viable and serious.
I sincerely believe in compromise. I know that that is in fact what was lacking in the last presidential cycle due to mr. Trumps unconventional style, but be as it may. He was a fighter, and he fought for what he believed in.
Loosing an election is difficult, I tried it with Hillary. But, seriously as any independent businessman will confirm, loosing is a part of the game. There will be a turn of events at some time. I mean, now I am back as a central intellectual after four years, I mean, I thought it was over.
So Donald, as the highlanders used to say; Scotland is never defeated unless you yourself is defeated.
Now, there is a host of problems we need to address. First and foremost the difficult situation with China.
War is probably going to come, so we need to be prepared for that. Not least the military, that needs to have all the necessary preparations in order. How the war is going to start, we will see. But it will be a very difficult war and since it has been peace in the US since the south/north wars 150 years ago, the Americans have grown accustomed to peace.
What we need to do, is to make sure, that the war is as small as possible, and we do not end up in an annihilation scenario as the fight between Carthage and Rome. We may, at both sides see this as an impossible thing, that China will disappear or the US will disappear, but Carthage is no more, and it was a thriving culture for millennia.
So a predictable show of force, and a focus on our own strength, building our production base again and trying to compete with China is very important.
The Chinese are definitely not stupid, they had just grown accustomed to the fact that we did not treat them as an enemy, now we do, because we have to.
So they are wising up.
One of the main strategies we could use, is to be a part of alliance building, something Barack started on. Find our friends again, and make sure, that the Chinese tech and money stays out of their countries. This should be done in a diplomatic way, but it should certainly be done.
The UK is in a dire need of an ally, and Denmark will always be with you, so that at least is a good starting point. But make friends and reach out.
We are all in a state of competition.
Lastly there is the peace deal in the Middle East, again here is an option to reach out to the EU. Again, here I have a stake, because I live in the EU, and they are also a part of the game, but the EU was very much invested in the Iran peace accord. This is a very delicate diplomatic work however, involving Israel, so we should be very careful not to ruffle the feathers of the Israelis, they are the number one ally in the region. I am a Jew myself, and my family almost got guttered in the Second World War, fleeing to Sweden, so I can very much empathize with the project of Israel, I am a Zionist myself.
But I am able to have a dream of peace in that region.
So here again, there will be a lot of going back and forth, but with the right mindset and with a good friendship with European countries, it can be done. But it has to be diplomatic.
Finally, be careful with the identity movement. It is too far out to my mind. What the Americans need to president to be, is a symbol of the republic. An honest, g-d fearing family man, who care about the country, and tries to defend its interest.
That is the American way, and going too far down the identity track is very dangerous it will fan the bipartisan flames again, and people need to see unity and things working again, not the opposite.
Try to find the middle ground and help both the poor, the middle class and strong, together in unity.
G-d bless the peace we can ultimately find.
Welcome Joe to the White House. It is pretty strange, I remember, that I prophesized it many years ago at the Obama time, but was pretty put down when you didn’t run for president.
Not only was I sorry that you didn’t make it, but I was questioning my own ability to read the political landscape.
Be as it may, here you are, and congratulations.
First of all, I had you back when you needed it the most, and so I will continue to stay a true friend through your service. When everybody else is abandoning you, I will still be there. I don’t change my loyalty very easily.
Secondly, be careful about angering the conservatives right now. I know, that you feel an urge to change all that mr. Trump has done, but be careful and test the waters before you change too much. What we need is healing and coming together again, that requires diplomacy and the ability to listen.
Doing what Trump did again will tear even greater rifts in the fabric of the nation.
Then there is Kamala Harris, the true heir to a lot of the Obama era politics in terms of uniting the people, reaching out to the people of color and staying on the path of rev. Martin Luther King.
She will be your anchor and good friend.
She will be formidable.
So instead of changing so much right now, take it easy, reach out, mend fences, talk to people, be the exact opposite of mr. Trump in terms of forcing your way.
Be the uniter not the divider.
Be a man in the middle.
Concerning all your threats and difficulties with China, that will be on the table before long. Here again do realpolitik. They are a threat to US interest, so move your troops and test the waters with them. But don’t go gong ho pressure on them, show your might, but don’t be too much. They need to know, that they have an adversary that is rational and do things within reason.
Be predictable.
I will try to forge a support for you from Europe and the UK. But we have our own problems over here, and so we may very well need our troops in the vicinity.
But this is not a Napoleons first 100 days, this is a mission of mending fences and feelings, and supporting what is most important of all, that of the American soul.
It is wounded make it heal.
G-d bless the will to do good, do good actions and heal the rifts.
The world is really changing in the face of the American change of leadership.
In fact, things are going to change a lot due to the fact, that both Central European countries as well as the UK is trying to change its focus.
Where the US simply set the agenda in the Obama era, Biden will have a hard time dealing out the cards this time. The European allies are pretty reluctant and the UK seems to be lickings its wounds after Brexit, so I do not see any ambition to try and change the world in a US direction from the UK perspective.
In fact the most promising military alliance right now is the Central European one, and that is in fact good.
You can be for or against the EU, me I have always been a bit reluctant about it, due to the lack of Democratic legitimacy. But a strengthened military alliance actually do make sense. I mean all the challenges we face are more or less the same, and so it makes sense to pool our resources.
Add to this, it seems to me, that the leaders of the alliance, namely mr. Gomes Cravinho is both open for my advise, and seem to be pretty courageous. That is a start, though the development of the alliance is very difficult and will imply some massive changes of policy to succeed.
But with diligence and diplomacy it may just be possible.
At the other hand, the US administration is starting more or less from scratch, due to all the bridges that mr. Trump managed to burn. But, also the US is a formidable force, and a major player in the pacific region, where the UK administration have to move soon to be a serious player there.
Looking at the Mediterranean that is the true proving ground of a possible European alliance, one major shift in politics needs to be adresssed. That of forced migration to the European countries. Don’t get me wrong, I have no idea about racism or any of that sort. I am a pretty brown Jew with a Muslim father, so I can definitely empathize with the migrants here. The thing is though, that the forced migrant policy of the EU, that is importing people from Muslim country into Europe, is a failed policy. Please read that again and let it sink in, it is a failed policy.
There may be many good reasons to start it in the first place, but as of now, it has created massive turmoil in Western Europe, and we need to be honest about that.
It has also created a very difficult security situation, most of Western Europe is infiltrated on all levels. Especially France is totally infiltrated, even the security apparatus.
Gettting rid of all the spies and infiltrators will be a massive task in itself.
But that is important to be able to deliver the necessary security to the populace, they are getting pretty annoyed with terror attacks, and well, that is fair enough. It was not the project of the people to do the mass migration, it was the elites that thought it a good idea.
It has come so far, that the very integrity of the states and not at least the federation is at stake.
Changing that position will be pretty difficult, but again possible if the system wants to survive.
So you see, making an alliance and making weapons is not the real deal of an alliance, the real deal is to change the policies to meet the security challenges ahead. These policies may also be a boon for many political parties around Europe. Here in Denmark the Social Democratic government is sitting pretty well with a large lead in the polls due to a more realistic change in the face of Islamic extremism.
Terrorism is the main advesary to tackle for the new alliance, and that will be extremely difficult, but possible.
What we need is a renewed focus on it, and a best practice mindset. See what will work, and make it work.
Add to this difficult process, we have the peace process in the Middle East, that is very important to balance with a focus on Islamic extremism or islamism.
We have some pretty good allies in the Middle East, and peace is forthcoming, even Iran is within reach of a peace accord still.
Why? Because they are not really interested in a fight with the entirety of Europe, and we are not interested in a fight with them.
So a part for Turkey, we need to bolster the diplomatic discussions with the African countries and especially in the Middle East. They must see, that we are not trying to be mean to Muslims in general, but stop the atrocities done by some islamists.
That is a very difficult balance to do, and will require a lot of skill.
So these are the essential challenges ahead, add to this an attempt at stopping the mass migration, then we have our hands full.
But a dedicated, incorruptible advancement in the interest of the European countries, and true moral force, can do it.
It is about finding the right way, and stop being for sale, then we can Change the narrative.
G-d bless the will to Change the world.
I have just watched a webinar with the esteemed defense minister of Portugal mr. João Gomes Cravinho.
Thank you for a nice reference to Hans Christian Andersen the loved fairy taler of Denmark.
The question of the seminar was; how do we envision the defense of Europe in the future in the light of the transatlantic relation and the other issues that pester the European main continent.
First of all, one has to consider the main question in all earnesty.
The Mediterranean. The Mediterranean has been and is the main problem of Europe right now.
That is obvious, just to name a few of the problems; Turkey, migrants and the conflicts in Africa that seem to spill into Europe.
Now, the main issue is migration. This issue has been very poisonous for a long time, and will be for much more time.
The problems in Europe are many; massive problems with intercultural conflicts often of a horrendous level. Just to mention a few; the killing of the writers of Charlie Hebdo, the killing of a member of my own union the Vilks committee and a rise in crime all over Western Europe.
Add to this massive problems in the islands of Greece, and the poisonous fight with Turkey.
Now Covid 19 has bought us a reprieve from these issues, but that will not last forever.
So, how do we go about seeing this issue.
First of all, I believe, we need to understand the shift of opinion on war. Ten years ago, diplomacy was the only option between European allies and enemies. Even in the relationship with Turkey, that is a vehement enemy of mainstream European identity, the only option has been diplomacy and we have bought peace with money.
Now, why have we done so? It was because we were war weary due to the atrocities and destruction in the second and first world wars.
Two wars that brought immense destruction to European mainland due to its mechanistic component. Mechanization brought mass killing to the table.
So, things change, and now the Second World War is so far away, and hardly remembered by the new generations, so a more aggressive stance in politics of war is acceptable by the populace at large, in fact a lot of the problems that the mainstream political forces have had in the last ten years, have been a discrepancy between the will of the European people and the will of the political life.
Because as while the politician were busy building the European Union, essentially a Second World War project, the general populace left all the horrors of the Second World War, and wanted to fight again.
That realization is something that the politicians need to condsider. Just look at the Italian defense minister mr. Salvini he was enormously popular in Italy, why? Because he wanted to fight the migrant streams, that are essentially breaking down Europe from within.
Now, you can have many opinions on the matter, and to be honest, I am not one of the hawks, I believe in a balanced approach to the issue, mixing diplomacy with intervention.
But, not recognizing the shift in public opinion would be essentially hazardous to the whole enterprise.
So my essential advice to mr. Cravinho would be, to find a more aggressive stance towards Turkey, and find a way, with diplomacy as well as intervention to stop the migration.
Fighting with Turkey is a viable option, and partnering up with Russia in this area is also an option. But finding a way to do it, is the important question to address.
The rest will flow from that, a professional and aggressive yet diplomatic stance in the Mediterranean will give the European armed forces the credibility it needs to further develop its scope.
Here I sincerely believe that mr. Cravinho is suited to the task, he seems professional and able. So good luck with the priorities.
Fix the problems in the Mediterranean and you will have a great star in the halls of all Europeans.
G-d bless the will to do good and fix things before they get out of hand.

Portrait of Socrates. Marble, Roman artwork (1st century), perhaps a copy of a lost bronze statue made by Lysippos
There has been a lot of discussion regarding the state og policy lately in the US. Don’t get me wrong, I try to embrace a balanced view of things. So that we do not get into excess with anything. But rather seek to find the middle ground, so as to make a sound balance between too much and too little.
In the heat of the argument, often we believe that the other one is evil, and that he or she is morally corrupt.
But listen, how do we know? How do we know that our political adversaries are evil?
Most often they are not, but seek to prop up their own political agenda somehow.
At the end of the day, Democracy is about trying not to have predetermined ideas about how things are, but try and listen to the other end of the table.
Socrates is the epitome of this idea. When he went around in Athens, he said, that he was the wisest of them all. He knew, because he had been around talking to poets, politicians, scientists and so on. But he was most wise, why? Because he knew, that he did not know anything.
It is this humility in the face of political discourse, that most often create a better course.
Knowing that you do not know anything, but just try to grasp at straws, and do your very best. That is a wise way of looking at the world.
That is why we safeguard freedom of speech so fiercely, in order to be able to have a chance to know what other people know and how they see the world.
Now, I don’t agree with mr. Trump with everything. There are a lot of things, where I really disagree with him.
But the end of the day, he does not strike me as evil, but as a vicious fighter for what he believes in.
I can respect that, as well as he can respect my idealism.
Sometimes we need to fight due to geopolitical reasons, as we need to fight the Chinese. I understand the Chinese, perhaps better than most. I have read a lot of both Taoism and Confusianism, and off cause I understand Marxism, my family created that idea.
So my point with fighting the Chinese is not to see them as evil, but avoid a greater world war. Create balance in terms of geopolitical development.
That is a very difficult task.
Anyway, staying calm in a situation, where you work up your emotions is good, and right now, we need to stay calm, and look at the situation from a more levelled point of view. Hopefully in a few month, we can have a feeling of a certain respect for each others perspective.
Mr. Trump said at his inauguration, that he respected the legacy of mr. Obama, maybe we can learn a little from that and seek to improve rather than just destroy, build things rather than deconstruct.
We have an economy we need to rebuild, we have a climate Change strategy to develop, and we have China, that is a formidable adversary.
We need to stay focused, and determined to face the new challenges ahead.
And most important, we need to bolster the reputation of the US in the entire system, build bridges and improve image.
We succeeded in the terms of mr. Barack Obama, maybe this time it will be a bit more difficult because Obama was one of a kind, but it is possible.
G-d bless the United States of America.
We are in a kind of crisis in the American public. Everybody are screaming at each other and in the moment of warfaring, we may do things, that we come to regret after some time.
Let us have a look at this from a open source perspective.
You know, the deeper story beneath open source, and the idea behind the internet has a beautiful and enriching story that most have not a clue about.
Today at the most of the big tech companies they life and swear by the ‘Copenhagen spirit’, that is, in essence the way of working that mr. Niels Bohr brought to the US when he did the Manhattan project, that is the invention of the atomic bomb.
He had this wonderful idea, that if you trust people, they actually are able to lift their responsibilities themselves.
For me, that is the epitome of working as free persons in a network.
There are wonderful stories about the physicist on the Niels Bohr institute, that played ping pong in the basement, and went and saw a lot of cowboy movies. The books they used as bats were advanced physics books and in that wonderful atmosphere a lot of great wisdom was envisioned and proved. Today Quantum physics and the development of that last strain of ideas is the end and the poor line of thought that we can muster.
At the other hand, the dreams and ideas of Bohr, are really here with us. The open network to create peace and stop us from going into nuclear Armageddon.
So what lies at the heart of this whole system of organization and ideology?
Well, Bohrs good friend, and the philosopher who inspired him to think about openness as the answer, a philosopher called Knud Ejlar Loegstrup, had this belief, that 80% of all our conflicts are misunderstandings. So UNDERSTANDING each other’s motives and worldview will actually hinder most conflicts.
This is the driving force for my cry for reconciliation and stopping all this senseless warfare between the right and the left. Perhaps, there is a lot of misunderstandings going on. Perhaps mr. Trump is not such an evil person that we believe, perhaps the left are not devils either?
UNDERSTANDING and trying to see the view of those we tend to hate can be a way to solve the conflict.
I am not saying, that people do not things wrong, they do, and should off cause be corrected. But an honest try to understand the world, and see people for what they are, is the best start on any attempt to solve a conflict.
So this is what open source is all about, to be able to give a window of understanding to those who try.
Look at people from an unbiased view, and find a way to solve a conflict without ending up with war and misery.
Don’t get me wrong, sometimes you need to fight, but actually most of time most of conflicts are just your own imagination running wild.
Should we examine peoples true intent or just go on banging the drums of conflict?
My idea is to be faithful to the tenants of Borh, and keep the internet networks open.
G-d bless the will to be honest and humble in our approach to the world.
There are a lot of things going on in the US right now, and many worry about it. Which is off cause both natural and good.
But as one of those, who have forged some of the ideas of the development, I am not worried, on the contrary, I believe, that what we are seeing is essentially a vibrant democracy in action, and not a tyranny coming into form, why?
Because the reason why mr. Donald Trump is so unpopular, is because he has tried to root out the corruption of the higher echelons of society. That is, in all its simplicity and daring, a great service to Democracy.
Yes, I know that there was the desecration of Capitol Hill by someone who saw themselves as Trump supporters, but at the end of the day, what really matters is his fight against the corruption of American Society; Weinstein, Epstein and all of these disgusting corrupt individuals of the rich class.
Why is that so important, well it is really the bane of any Democracy to be corrupted, this was what felled the Roman Republic, and in a sense was detrimental to the UK in the sixties.
Bible abiding, law abiding, families are the core of the Republic, and if they fight against some kind of corruption, namely that of child abuse and other kinds of abuse, well, that is good.
In all this tumult, one perhaps need to understand what really created Donald Trump. Mr. Donald Trump is a creation of the internet. Q Anonymous, that is a unity of the right and left wing internet warriors and seekers of light, are his creators. These guys were born with the internet, and baptized in the light of the understanding of how and where corruption is and was. So they sought a champion to wage their war against that corruption.
That is not going away, why? Because essentially these guys are the heirs to the whole idea behind the internet, that of open communication in a computer network. An idea coined by the likes of Niels Bohr and others of his postwar generation. The idea is, that if we live in an open world, war is less apt to happen, as theorized by mr. Niels Bohr in his famous letter to the UN, where he called for an open world after the Second World War.
Yes I know that the big tech giants seem to feel that they start owning the internet, but they don’t, and they never will.
All the mechanics of internet control via Facebook and the other Social media platforms, will never again stop the opportunity of the true seeker to know truth.
So, people in power now worry much more about getting caught, and that makes the world better and less corrupt.
I am not picking sides in this conflict, and be as it may, somehow I have become that defender of Democracy that Plato envisioned as an integral part of Democracy.
It needed an open internet network so make a basis that I can work on, but now I am truly free to defend our Democratic ideas.
Rooting out moral corruption being the most important task, and mr. Trump did just that.
So, please, from the mouth of Plato, and his plea to all who believe in Democracy, look at what is important for the Republic. It is to be honest, true and just in a world of self interest.
If we learn that from the presidency of mr. Trump, we have learned an important lesson, and we choose to do it ourselves.
Forget about the censorship, and anger and keep faith in the open source.
G-d bless the will to be faithful to Openness.
So we are free, it took four ardous years, or was it even more?, to get here, but here we are.
The question is, what now?
Here I believe, that looking a bit on Russia is actually not such a bad idea. I mean, we have been foes, but Russia is getting along pretty well, and they have a thousand year long tradition on keeping the realm together.
What is Russia really?
Russia is a Viking state that started at the rivers of Ukraine, and spread to the east. Along the way, there were a lot of fights, and it really changed the Russians to what the Russians are today; strong, vicious fighters that sleep, but when awaken are unbeatable. That is the lesson learned by both Hitler and Napoleon.
The sleeping bear, as they are called.
At the height of Russian empirialism, because that was what it was, Russians beat everybody even Japan.
Now, how did they manage to keep the realm together?
A lot of the states that was swallowed by the Russians are still ethnically and religiously not Russians, but Muslims and other ethnicities.
They did it by tying a strong bond between the NATIONS of the Russian empire. Somehow each citizen in what we understand as Russia have a Russian identity. They are part of Mother Russia.
The same is probably a strategy that we could try with the British empire. Create a strong identity. A British identity. An identity of people reflecting and idolizing the British culture and ideas.
That is a difficult thing right now, because we have been going in the other direction for such a long time, and just starting a racist Anglo Saxon banging on the shield idea would be out of this world, not to mention both wrong and totally unethical.
But a British identity does not have to be simple, rather make it complex, beautiful and strong in ideas.
Take the ideas, that I have worked on with Oxford, the ideas of climate change in relation to the Anglican Church. This whole ideology ties into Darwin, Goethe and Classical Greek philosophy. It reclaims the land of the Church, and seek to make people believe not only in the church again, but also in G-d.
This is a possible British project to try and unite the different nations of the British empire under.
A good idea, and a way to find some common ground, and it reaches out to the young as well.
We still have to remember, that building nations in an empire, requires nation building, so of cause we have to be in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and all those nations, and inspire and try to improve the nations in a way that creates a sustainable as well as steady flow of happiness.
The British empire was created on the back of the philosopher Adam Smith, that is a banking empire. But now we need to talk content in terms of national ideology, spiritual ideology and the likes.
Don’t get me wrong Adam Smith was a genius, but we have come to an end with his ideas, and the true enigma we have to solve is to understand how to get on from his perspective and SOLIDIFY the empire in terms of stability and happiness for all the citizens.
It can be done, the Russians did it, so we can perhaps learn from them. They seem to be interested in teaching us.
The key here being philosophical development and Change.
G-d bless the will to be honest and solidify the empire that is struggling and honestly crying out for help.
I believe, that there is a balance between theory and practice when it comes to the debacle on climate Change.
On one end, we need to realize the ideas behind the whole political discourse. I mean, what is nature, and how does the ecosystem actually work, with people in it.
We are a part of the great drama of nature, and we need to be honest about the role we play in the collective development of nature itself.
So far we have been mostly negative. We destroy and use nature to our own needs without really thinking about the impact we are having on nature.
Ultimately nature is a fragile thing, and it may very well just collapse.
At the other hand, we also have to be able to do something about it. I mean discussing pollution is a concrete and serious discussion. Not only in our own countries, but globally.
When India polutes the oceans, it is to the detriement of everybody. The same goes with Denmark, if we do something that will destroy nature in some way.
So looking at this on a global level is pretty much a given.
We also have to be able to talk about the difficult things, like overpopulation. What do we do about that? So far the rate of succes has been limited, and what we have done have brought more harm than succes.
So that is why I have proposed a kind of containment strategy, or at least a more realistic understanding of how overpopulation work. We have to come to the conclusion, that in some areas, there will be famine, and we cant do much about ourselves.
We can prepare, and make help ready, but ultimately if a country is overpopulated, it needs to take action and be responsible themselves.
At the end of the whole discussion, we need to have a positive goal, and deeper understanding of nature, a cleaner more sustainable ecosystem and a closer connection to the beautiful creation that is given to us.
We are in a bit of a problem. A problem that can be solved, if we are serious and work constructively about it.
Take mr. Elon Musk. He is doing something to solve the energy crisis. Or some of the farmers here in Denmark that have experimented first with windmills and are now working with new experiments with all kind of things; gas, oil produced by the waste of the farming industries and so on.
A lot of good ideas.
It can be done, we just have to be realistic about the challenges ahead, and do something about it.
G-d bless the will to be realistic about Change.
Well, merry Christmas and happy Hannukah dear reader. Things have finally turned in terms of downward og upward spirals.
Finally the UK is free from the EU, and have made a deal. That is good, for everybody. Perhaps not the Danish fishermen who live where I live here in rural Denmark where I live, but essentially for everybody else.
It seems to me, that when we finally get out of the Corona lockdown, we have a lot of things we can do, and a lot of projects we need to embark on.
First of all, both the UK as well as the US is in a new position, a position, where we have a positive outset, and hopefully can join forces. I really hope that for one.
There are massive challenges ahead. The first and foremost being the fact, that the overpopulation of the world is destabilizing everywhere.
Phosphor as a nutrient to the process of making crops is running out, and we will see starvation and after that wars within the next decade.
Migration being a core concern, that we have to tackle humanely and forcefully.
There will be massive conflicts along lines that will appear, be it this or that religious or political denomination. At the base of the conflicts we will see, will be overpopulation.
A complete crash is actually imminent. As soon as a destructive ideology takes over an area in a vested grab for power, and the food industry suffers, the country or area collapses. You have seen this in former Rhodesia now Zimbabwe, where the farmers were slaughtered in cold blood, as of now the whole country is filling up with deaths of its citizens.
Rhodesia is the model we are currently following, and we will all die, if we do not change course.
In the West, in most countries we have woken to the fact that that is the problem, but we still are not in agreement of what to do.
Essentially the whole overpopulation brings so much suffering with it, that we cannot stomach the things we have to do to survive.
We prefer delaying the final outcome by bending to the process.
Well, we have to wake up to the fact, that the earth is dying, and we people are the disease.
Here again, I do not believe, that we should be mean or treat people badly, on the contrary we need to realize the best possible outcome. We need to think about mother earth and what it brings us of joy and good things, but we also, as humanity, need to think about the problems we pose to the ecosystem of the earth, and be honest about it.
Just letting people wander around the globe as they want to, is not a solution for the long run. Even though we prefer having the strength of the many, we still need to realize, that there is a breaking point and be honest about these wanderings, and stop the wanderings that are unsustainable.
It is cruel, the world is a cruel place. When people flee from environmental catastrophes, and war in general, our natural instinct is to help those in need. But if it destabilizes the country they enter, then nothing has been won, and another country may fall to overpopulation.
What we need is as many wellfunctioning countries in the world, producing as much healthy food as possible.
Instead of solving our problems by evening them out, we need to take the bull at the horns, and keep food production evolving and improving.
At the end of the day, there is going to be war over territory, for the food it produces, and we need to enter these difficult times with strength.
These are the challenges ahead. I know, that looking at these things straight is a difficult thing to do. But to solve a difficult problem, you need to start being honest about it, and take the best possible way.
The next decade will be all about climate change, and how we challenge it in a wise and serious way.
It will be immensely difficult, not least in terms of fighting those territorial wars. But that is the way the world is developing.
Climate change is not a peaceful thing, it is a very, very violent thing.
G-d bless the peace we can find, if we look at the world in realistic terms.
I see a lot of Star Treck these days. I really like Star Trek, and I have wondered quite a bit why I really like Star Trek, it is the epitome of nerdiness, but it has something deeper resting in its ideas, that kind of resonate with my own quest of trying to convey and fight the the American dream.
At the heart of classics like Star Trek lies a deep humanistic striving. A striving for a better world, and a firm belief in the good of man.
Rest assured, in these days, we have come to realize, that the Promised land is not so promised as we thought. We can’t just figure it out, and truly there are some caveats along the way.
But at the other hand, figuring out, how to tackle these caveats is truly the task at hand.
At one hand we have a lot of principles on how to work in the world, sound, humanistic principles that has faith in the force of Democracy.
At the other hand, we have tumultuous world with a host of challenges. It is in the cross hairs of this meeting of principles and reality that we have to forge a path forward.
At the one hand, being too unrealistic about the world will not work, at the other hand being too cynical about the world will not work either.
There are bad guys out there, that seek to destroy and erect towers of tyranny. They are there, and as a consequence we have to be realistic about the world as it is. We have friends, and we have foes. That is the nature of the world right now.
At the same time, we need to acknowledge the legacy and heritage that we have.
Here is how it is. We are the most benign and best empire of the world.
That sounds great and all, but there is the truth of the word empire in the mix. That includes territory, fighting with other powers over power and so on. That is potentially a system that gives way for tyranny itself.
At the other hand, there is no comparison. All other empires in the history of mankind have never been so kind and understanding. The Romans were pretty tough, the Greek abused Egypt, the Phoenicians bought and sold their territory.
But we actually do care about the wellbeing of man.
So going forward, a kind of balance between the honesty of the Anglo Saxon empire, and the humanistic content is something we should align ourselves with.
I mean, can we really embrace the Klingon or the tyrannical oppressor, or do we fight him?
Well that is an easy answer, but at the end of the day, I truly believe that the perpertous and stubborn fight at the path to the promised land, is what we need to stay on.
We need to keep faith in the soul of the Nation, and not stop fighting for that soul.
That is what we need to understand and try to do now. Stay on the path to redemption.
Perhaps redemption will not happen, but on the way, we can make the world a little bit better.
G-d bless The United States of America.
In the Oxford Symposium, one of the greatest presentations, to me, was a presentation of the American singer song writer mr. Johhny Cash.
Johhny Cash is one of those iconic musicians whom define the very essence of what it is to be American.
I asked the two American gentlemen, whom presented the tale of mr. Johhny Cash how the situation is with the story of the Americans, the American dream and they repeatedly said, that it is in great trouble, the very SOUL of America is at stake.
That is a pretty steep assessment, and I must admit, that it kind of scared me a bit. I mean, here in the Obama camp we have been talking about unity and have talked all the good things about being American up. I mean mr. Barack Obama himself have just written an AMAZING book called Promised Land.
So we care, and we think about how to tackle this problem.
The whole talk about SOUL kind og inspired me to think about a Danish philosopher called Grundtvig, the founding father of Danish Democratic development, and he talked a lot about “The soul of the people”.
I think, that that is really what this is all about, if there is no soul of the people, things start to unravel, and we start at the alienation.
Maybe it is about time to talk about that beautiful soul that Johhny Cash tried so hard to sing alive. That promised land, that city at the top of the hill. Keep the flame alight for the next generations to come.
Because as anything else, souls need nourishment and sustenance to live.
It will only live, if the dreams are kept alive.
G-d bless the will to really reach The Promised land.
Climate Change as an idea and a philosophical trend in the world stems from the battle between German and British thought in the 18´th century.
At the time nature was a topic of discussion in the great halls of learning, and great leaps of understanding in what nature was, was done.
Among them, the crowning theory; that of Darwin.
But before and around Darwin there were many discussions, Linné, the Swedish botanist that defined the whole system of nature, Göethe, Herder and Kant that discussed the ideas from a Platonic as well as Aristotelean perspective.
So the discussion of nature, that has lead to climate Change ideas, are very deep, AND it talks to the rift between Anglo Saxon thought and German thought.
This whole discussion is what it really is about when we talk about the rift between religion and science. Because the Anglo Saxon as well as French thought drifted towards materialism German thought tried to cling onto spiritualism, but had eventually to give into the Newtonian ideas. Hence Marx and Nietzsche.
But to heal the academic world, we NEED to understand what was going on, and to understand the urge of the Climate Change workers to find spirit somehow, because that is what is truly beneath the whole Climate Change movement. We need to understand the ideas of the belle époque to move on today.
So here it comes.
Nietzsche proclaimed that G-d was dead, but that was AFTER Kant and Göethe made their call for a renewed spirituality. Politically this lead to Marxism, that is today non spiritual.
Marx taking a standpoint after Hegel.
So it makes sense, seen from a natural, climate perspective to go BEHIND Marx and Nietzsche and see where they came from.
As discussed before really the natural point of discussion is Göethe, that was a believer in the beauty of nature, and had a very profound understanding of nature. Göethe had several gardens that he tended and studied, a predecessor to Darwin, that went to Galapagos to do the same.
So what was the idea of Göethe concerning nature?
He was, and had always been a neoplatonist, so he grabbed onto the idea of a set of archetypes of life that is behind all life.
Plato had different understandings of G-d, one of them was, that G-d was good personified, and all good had a kind of blueprint that we follow.
So there was the archetypical idea of a plant and then the environment the plant or any other life lived in.
This was continued by Darwin who focused on the environmental side of the equation.
Me, I am an Empedochlean and an Anaxagorean. So, I do not hold the same ideas of nature as Göehte. Essentially I hold onto the idea that nature is continuous creation of life, and that G-d id the love in this creation (Empedochles). Add to this, that G-d is intelligence in heavens that is conveyed into nature through birth and goes back to heaven through death.
This is all derived from the epitome of Platonic thought, the book called Timeus of Plato (the book he holds in his hand in the painting above).
It took me a long time to research, and it is still ongoing.
But if we can push forth our understanding of science as well as spirituality in the light of Plato and Göethe we may just save our religious institutions as well as our world at large. Because the reason for our current predicament is faith in only the material realm, and that is important to understand. We need to heal ourselves as well as the planet.
G-d bless the will to Change and start the healing.
Well apart from tackling Covid 19, we also need to have more positive things to do.
One of the things that I have been working on here in Denmark, and that seems to be a sincerely positive, but VERY difficult process is climate change.
After doing several interviews with farmers, and having the discussion with rev. Mountford of Oxford University, it seems to me, that at least some of the difficulties concerning climate change is to be discussed.
Let us have a look at it.
First of all, the THEORETICAL basis is pretty clear. We are fighting for a better more sustainable world, where WE as humans both understand and are part of the world in a positive manner.
Nature is according to the romantic view of both Göethe, Alexander von Humbolt and classical thinkers as Empedochles a place of wonder.
But we have to be honest about this development, we are working with neoplatonic ideas that is conveyed through Göethe.
So we HAVE to admit to ourselves, that these ideas are in essence stupidly romantic.
Now, don’t get me wrong being stupidly romantic may not be such a bad idea sometimes, but the fact of the matter is, that we cannot rely only on romanticism to reach our goals of closer contact with nature.
We also have to work in the REAL world, and as we all know, the real world is a VERY messy place.
In other words, if we walk around in the woods hugging trees, maybe we are a bit more happy, but maybe the woodsman that tend to the wood is not so happy about us running around in his wood.
So in order to turn our romantic ideals into something worthwhile and lasting, we need to turn our eyes to the vast process of REALLY changing our environment into something beautiful.
This process is really the difficult part. Because here we are met with the true reality.
What is that? That is the fact, that mechanics, academics and church organizers do not necessarily understand the world of the farmers.
Where many people of the city are romantic about nature and the country side, the fact of the matter is, that in the real world being a farmer is business.
It is these two very different worldviews, that we need to fuse somehow, and that can only be done in one way; dialogue.
Forcing the farmers to do anything is massively counterproductive, we have just had an example of that in Denmark, where the state decided to expropriate a part of the farming community. Just eradicating a whole part of the country world.
It has cost massively in terms of human as well as animal pain. People have to leave their homes and the farmers are going totally nuts.
It feels like a very, very, very heavy-handed way of doing things.
While as dialogue and understanding has been totally absent in the process.
So breaching the gap between country and city is extremely difficult.
But trying to unite the country is what this is about, and the countryside should ALSO have a voice in the matter.
So, heavy-handed control is not the answer when it comes to developing sustainable ways of working with nature, dialogue is the true and only way.
A practical way of starting working on this process is to make a committee that tries for an honest dialogue with some of the leading lights of both camps. And don’t forget, that the true experts are rarely the ones that claims they are the true experts, the true experts sit in experimental farms in secluded areas with new ideas. At least this is the way it is in Denmark.
So, please let us not be heavy handed in this process of climate change, but try to close the gap between Americans, and unite.
G-d bless the will to be strong in opinion and honest on approach.
It seems to me, that we have come a long way in the Middle East, there is a peace of some sort.
We have almost peace between Jews and the Arabs, and this peace is legendary in itself. Of cause, the close kinship between Arabs and Jews, we actually look very much like each other and share the same both ethnic as well and religious roots, do help.
Israel is slowly becoming a natural part of the Middle East. Old cousins returning from years and years of diaspora.
This is truly peace, as I promised.
In the rest of the world however there is still conflict, and we have to talk about this as well as work on ways to stop them.
Sometimes you need to fight to make peace, and there are conflicts we need to address.
I do hope however, that the new Biden administration, recognises the path to peace that is finally materialised under Trump but was started with mr. Barack Obama.
Peace is something that creeps up on you, and is there almost by coincidence, but at the end of the day. Let us remember Lawrence of Arabia, the first zionist, or one of the first brits to put his mark truly in the Middle East.
Through his immense Oxford learning, his understanding of the Middle East has transformed it in his visage. The pen is stronger than the sword, and let us rejoice in the fact, that this time, the pen won, through the vast understanding of Lawrence of Arabia, the renowned Oxford scholar.
Let his memory be a star to follow.
G-d bless the peace we have found.
There is a new paradigm on the way, you can look at Great Britain, France or the great United States of America, with different leaders.
But all have to tackle of the deterioration of the nation and the challenges ahead.
So, how to we go about tackling that.
As we have discussed it is about unity. United we stand, divide we fall.
But unity has to be something. It can’t be a hollow unity, it has to be a unity of some people, or some ideas.
Here I believe, that each nation has its own set of rules and ideas to work with. France is the great republic, Great Britain is a United Kingdom, The United States of America is a dream come true.
Each nation has to define what it is, and what its guiding ideas are, and will eventually be able to put those ideas at the heart of each nation. Educate people, fight for the values of each nation, and say no to people who disgrace the virtue of the state. Honestly there are some, who do not understand or respect the virtues of the nations at hand.
Those people, be it islamists or other, are and should be targets of the nation states security apparatus.
We have to realize, that freedom, equality and solidarity are not free, sometimes we need to stand up for those values, and say YES WE CAN!
G-d bless the will to be a good person in a world of conflict, and chose the path of peace.
The coronacrisis seems to wear off, but there are still some pockets of resistance, and things to do to make thinks all right.
First of all, let us have a look at the reaction and the threat. There has to be some kind of level balance between the two.
If we react too harshly at an epidemic without cause, then people get angry, if we do not react enough when there is a crisis, people tend to get angry.
So, the right balance between too much and too little is really where we want to be.
Right now there seems to be a vaccine on the way, let us hope, that it is truly on its way, so that we can get on with our lives.
Because that is really what this all about, getting on with all the projects and ideas we have. So that we can make a better world.
G-d bless the will to make a better world.
Well, now it seems like, that we are back at the track again in the US.
First of all, let me be clear, I did not support any of the candidates. I held on to the belief, that it was the best man that should win. So essentially, this is not my victory, but mr. Bidens victory. I held on to the belief, that he would come through, but I didn’t support any of the candidates. It would have been unfair.
So, now that we are here. We have to get to work.
Because where lies the basic political paradigm, that seems to be at hand. Well, it is climate change.
As we in the Obama times worked on the economy, a thing that seems to be working as of now. We can work on other things to make a better world.
When we talk about climate change, we have to realise, that this challenge is pretty steep. I am working quite extensively with it here in Denmark, and boy can it go wrong. Right now Northern Jutland is closed because of a fake vendetta against mink farming. Seriously, the left is bleeding votes faster than you can count.
This calls to the fact, that working with nature in order to make it a better nature, is a very delicate thing, why?
Because the leftwing that is mainly citydwellers have to work with the countryside, where nature really is, and that is republican mainland. See the difficulty in terms of political progress?
However, as I have worked quite extensively with farmers, pig farmers, minkfarmers, fishermen and woodsmen, it seems to me, that the country boys are much wiser than what you would think if you didn’t know them. In fact they can be really, really cool.
One of the greatest experiences I have had, was visiting a woodsman, whom had been working with his forest for 50 years. The forest is just extremely diverse and interesting, it is a paradise. I know him through a friend of mine who likes spiritual things, and goes to the forest to do all kinds of hippidances and so on.
So this guy, who has been working with forests for 50 years, and is a country boy if you ever knew one, has showed us a way to go. It is complicated, by it can work.
Biodiversity is possible to work with, but it takes time.
So, having the respect for the people who live in the countryside, is pretty much a given if we should have any success in this area.
There are however lower hanging fruits, like sea pollution that is huge problem these days, we need to do something about that.
And essentially realise, that the basic premise of climate change is, that we are growing out of the planet. So we need to figure out better and more understanding ways of working with nature.
If we do not do that, our ressources will run out soon enough, and that will create hunger, and war.
So it is pretty serious.
The good news is, that if we get to work, and invite the best experts, and no, more often than not, the experts are the people, the worksmen, working with nature, and hear them out. We need ideas on the table, and an opportunity to do some real change, our future depends on it, so lets get on with it.
G-d bless the will to do good, and make better ways with nature.
I believe, that the UK should start moving out of the EU. Get the job finished, and find some new cooperation with the US.
There are new winds blowing over the US, and the UK might just get on that train.
There are a number of agendas that is interesting, one of the being the independence of the UK.
As the drums of war is sounding in Europe, being independent is not such a bad thing.
So focus on Freedom to find a way.
The path to independence is not such a bad path.
G-d bless the will to be free.
It is at one hand great relief and at the other hand great sadness, that mr. Biden has won the election.
At one hand, there is no secret in the fact, that mr. Biden has been a friend and a champion of my cause since he worked as a vp with mr. Obama. At the other hand, the difficulty of mr. Trumps election, and the closeness of the election is a problem. I really hope, that it will come to some kind of positive conclusion. Voter fraud is a very, very serious thing.
I mean, democracy is about giving power to the people, not taking power from the people.
At the end of the day, I am very happy to see mr. Biden back in the White House, and truly hope, that it will be a beginning of reconciliation, and the end of all the fractional fights that is within the American people. We are all united, as is the basic idea.
United we stand, divided we fall.
So, congratulations mr. Biden, it took a while to get here, but now we are here, we can finally do some good.
G-d bless the will to be an honest and positive force in the world.
It is with great trepedation, that I see, that the muslim world is rallying against mr. Macron and France.
Let me be clear about this; Denmark is 100% behind mr. Macron.
To fight for freedom, and freedom of speech is not only a must, but also a great honour.
In this matter against islamism, definitely Denmark stands behind France.
Avant les bleus!!!
G-d bless the republic of France!
In these days with great insecurity in France, this is the time to remember, what France really is. The traditions, the virtues and France is the product of.
This is to say, that France is the heir to the democratic/humanistic traditions of the enlightenment era.
These are the true values that are under threat these days, by people beheading teachers in the middle of the day.
We must admit, that the terrorism, and the islamism of moderne France is the enemy of the Platonic republic, and act accordingly.
G-d bless the mother of all democracies; the nation of France.
It is with grave worry, that I hear about the islamist attack on a teacher in France. Seriously, a teacher?
A person dedicated to bring light to the minds of students, a person well known for culture and knowledge.
So a person kills such a person. That is, next after killing a priest or any other holy man, a grave thing to do.
So what did the poor man do?
He showed the image of Mohammad.
Ok, I get it, it is sacrilege, I do not like people doing bad things to Moses or in any way show a lack of respect to Moses. To me Moses is a very wise and indeed almost perfect person.
But would I invite the idea to kill someone because they would show a lack of respect towards Moses?
No way, it is their idea, and I truly believe, that such an act as to take the life of a teacher is a very bad thing indeed.
It shows the dark side of Islam. I faith that has many qualities, but also, in some areas, have some dark spots.
We must admit that.
This does not mean, that all muslims are evil. Not at all, but it has a bad rep. towards our democratic institutions, and the will to speak freely.
G-d bless Voltaire, the founder of free speech in modern times, and his teacher Socrates.
When you are sick, you usually deteoriate. Your physical functions are simply not working that well.
I remember when I got sick, seriously, the first time. It was just after the dot coooom boom. I was working as a project leader in various IT companies, and consequently fell when the industry fell. That was a pretty hard stop.
What happened was, that I got fired a couple of times, as the IT world collapsed. At the end of those strings of firing, I got really, really sick.
I had hit my head on a wall, and suffered a severed head trauma, a brain damage that just didn’t want to go away.
It stayed like that for a couple of years, still is with me to this day.
For a year I was home on my couch, looking up in the ceiling. I couldn’t really do anything but look up in ceiling, because my brain was so damaged, that it couldn’t work with any input. I couldn’t read, I couldn’t watch television. The only thing I could do, was to listen to classical radio. I found a German classical radio, that I really loved. I can still hear the jingles; “wir Lieben classical, wir Lieben, wir Lieben….”.
After a year I slowly recovered, and now twenty years after, there is no more, or very little left of the disease.
While I was so sick, I ran into other people that had the same disease. You somehow end up in a community that has the same problems as you have.
Most of them today have miserable lives, still sick, more or less. Some more, some less. That is the way this disease work.
So, what did I do to get over my disease?
I went down on my knees, and I started praying. I prayed hard and long, putting all of my devastated heart into that prayer. I knew, that this was it, either I started getting better, or I was done for.
You know, it kind of worked. After the prayer that I really put all of my soul and everything of me in, I got new ideas on how to work on the disease, and these new ideas really worked.
Basically my brain needed calm and quiet. I gave it that, by meditating.
I meditated for hours and days, just to give my brain a break from the constant barrage of stress and thought.
After some years, I became a new and wiser man.
I still miss the carelessness of my youth, not having to care about anything. But I also do recognise, that my brush with death, and my ability to claw myself out of the hole, is a natural part of growing up and becoming mature.
That is life, you look death in the eyes, and you find your faith in that moment.
So this is it, at least, to my experience. If you are sick, start praying, and go down your knees. Maybe, just maybe, you end up a better man or woman, and start caring for what this is all about; being that honest, sympathetic and true person, that tries his best to make a difference.
You may also really become stronger, and wiser.
It is all about one thing; faith.
G-d bless the will to be strong in the face of this awful disease that has struck us all, and G-d bless all those who are living through the hell of being sick. I know how it feels, but it will get better.
Now, this Corona hysteria has to be winded down. Ok, don’t get me wrong, it is horrible, and I really do feel with mr. Trump and his wife Melanie, I really, really hope that they will get well fast.
But after that, we need to do other things than just focus on Corona. We still have countries to run, economies to make greater and many other things.
Corona has to be handled at the same time as we are handling other business as well. The world goes on.
This leads me to the UK. Before Corona, we were working on the redemption of the empire, and the rebuilding of the economy. Add to this the process of redefining the british spirit.
We have to get on with this.
This is how we do it.
We simply make a deal with the EU that is fair, and gives both parties a good deal. No negative outcome for anyone. Everybody are interested in getting on with our lives, so we should do that.
At the same time, lets take a clue from our American allies, and start building british again.
Put those proud words of Made in England on our wares, and start exporting again.
These two issues are pretty straightforward, and should be possible to do while we care about Corona.
Corona has somehow become the new normal, we have to work around that, and get back to business.
I know it is a lot to ask, but be as it may, the world still carries on.
G-d bless the United Kingdom.
Concerning EU politics towards the close vicinity of EU, that is the Middle East. To me, we have to get on from a 68 flower power understanding of the issues.
In the 68 Palestine was the victim of Jewish brutality. But today political winds have changed, and we have to change our understanding accordingly.
The greatest threat to Europe in general is Turkey. While as Egypt has been a stalwart ally in the region, and we have good ties to Iran, Turkey still seem to ride the Islamist bandwaggon.
We have to be realistic with this, and see Turkey for what it is; it is an enemy. It has threatened Greece, and uses its leverage in Europe to get more guns.
What will happen if a nation gets more guns?
It will use the guns to get power.
So to me, we have to be realistic with the political forces that drives the development of our neighbours.
If not, we will just create more havoc and problems.
To have peace, you need to be ready for a fight.
Because realistic force behind a political process is what drives the process.
Arms are not necessarily meant to be used, but if you do not have any arms, you are sure to be having a fight, because you are seen as weak.
Strength is a detterent not a thing that should be used unless really needed.
We need to have more physical strength, to find peace. As the Romans used to say; Si vis pacem, para bellum.
If you want peace, you need to be ready for a fight.
Maybe it is time to learn that lesson again, that Scipio Africanus tought the Romans at the Phoenician wars.
We need to build our strength in order to make peace with our enemies.
G-d bless the roman way of doing things.
I believe, that truth to be told, we have come a long way with the US. When Barack and I kind of started having influence on the US. We were almost bankrupt, jobs were going to overseas, and the dollar was really in danger of collapsing.
If the economy collapses, the entire system collapses.
Be as it may, we have seen a lot of development under mr. Trump. Especially in the fire power of the US, and also in sweeping up some of the darker sites of the American system.
These developments will most probably save the US in the long run.
I know, that people hate Trump, and see the Black Lives Matter as some kind of revelation.
But to me, these things are essentially superficial things.
What matters, really, is what the deeper structures of society develops into.
We see, that the STRUCTURES of the US are going in the right direction these days.
Economy is getting better, the system is healing in a way.
Ten to twenty years from now, I hope we will look back at these times, and see that the Change that Barack and I did was a true turning point.
Because when we look at the essence of the American project, that is making a Democracy. I truly believe, that we have saved it.
The problem of a democracy is, when it gets morally corrupted. We are getting LESS morally corrupted, not more these days.
I know, that the police is slowly getting pressured, but I also believe, that at the end of the day, NOT having police does not make sense to anyone.
So, the true outcome of all the discussion and so on with regards to BLM, will not be, that anything devastating changed, it just made people have a lot more focus on these issues.
Point being, that what we need to do now, is just more of the same.
Make more jobs, by taking them back from China, support a democracy for the little man, not the powerful. Make a business environment, that truly makes it possible to attract all those brilliant minds to invent and create new products.
All in all, we are actually saved.
And that is a big win in my book.
G-d bless the United States of America.
Joe and Kamala, this time you need to stop fretting, get your clothes, put on your best hat, and start getting out there on the campaign trail. I know, that it can seem a little daring in these times with Corona and everything. But the fact of the matter is, you are not going to win, unless people know what you are standing for, and that you are actually there to tell them.
I think, that talking to the American worker should not be a problem. I mean, who is REALLY hit by the corona crisis? It is the worker who is laid off, and is in danger of loosing his livelihood permanently.
We need to think about a plan to save him. A good plan is to make sure, that all the manufacture, that is now leaving China, and is going to some other low-cost labour countries gets back to Detroit.
We need the motor city up and running again, and it is not going to happen, unless there are cars built in that wonderful old city.
When the engine is running, then the car can get in gear and start driving.
That is pretty obvious.
So getting manufacture to stop the senseless depleting of American manufacture should point to a possible future for not only those laid off of jobs, but also a path out of the corona nightmare we are in.
Show the public that you are ready to take on this challenge and stop the bleeding of American jobs to the pacific region.
Then Kamala. You are a g-d given gift to the health of American way of live. A person of color, that has done a good job of making your own way.
It is your job, to try and reach out to the parts of the US that feels disenfranchised and left behind, because they are not into the mainstream protestant view of things.
It is your job, to make everyone see, that it is possible to live side by side in a humanistic society. A healer not a divider.
That is truly an incredibly difficult task. You need to reach out to so many little corners of the US.
Here, there, everywhere. But people need to experience the healing process started.
Need to see, that there are people in power, who listens to their plight and difficult living conditions.
By this, we can, slowly, get the ship sailing on a straight keel again.
Because right now, we are taking in water, and people are desperate.
We need to sail straight, and have a clear direction towards what people are truly fighting for; that dream, that everybody are equal based on equal rights in a place called the United States of America.
G-d bless the United States of America, and may it prevail.
There is a campaign and an election coming up. I hereby support and give my thanks to Kamala Harris. I believe she will be an exceptional VP for the US.
But we should be honest about the challenges we have with the grassroots of the Democratic political life.
It is going down a very destructive path.
Do we really want to defund the police and make anarchistic og black american areas with a system that is not founded in the republic of the USA?
Seriously?
I believe, that the constitution is a platfom we should all stand on, and make common ground.
So to me, the upcoming election is about unity and the ability to reach across the aisle to connect with the people we may not be in agreement with 100%, but are fellow Americans.
The succes of the US, is based on the fact that protestantism and Martin Luther paved a way for us, that we could travel on to reach a good and sound life.
A life of happiness and security, yes a life of hard work and putting a dime away each month to save for a rainy day.
But nonetheless a simple and good life.
We should not forget that in these days. If we want to progress and make a better world, we need to understand each other and reconcile not go into conflict.
We live as servants to spirit. If we forget that, we risk creating a world that is full of trouble and destruction.
Maybe it is time to unite not fight all the time.
Maybe it is time to remember that the US is a bastion of humanism and enlightenment, not a place of destruction and adversity. But a place of unity
G-d bless the United States of America.
In Israel we have had a good succes with connecting to the Arabs. Off cause Arabs and Jews are very close in terms of lineage, and we look very much like each other. So the jump between Jews and Arabs is not difficult to take.
But the next possible ally that has emerged is the Lebanese. As I have written in the last posting, Lebanese are not Arabs, they are essentially Phoenicians.
They know it themselves, but due to a history of secrecy, they do not share this identity with anyone. Not that anyone would really know what to do about the information these days, but old habits die hard.
To understand the way of the Lebanese, one needs to understand what they are coming from spiritually. Spiritually the Lebanese are the ones who brought all the softness in the world, or rather was the people that always traded and never went to war.
Their deity Aphrodite, is, according to my sources, the closest you get to grasp the basic identity of the Lebanese.
That is born from the foam of the waves, beautiful, merciful and close to nature.
All beauty and benevolence.
This is the neighbour we have, if we chose to try and really understand the Lebanese.
Not very long ago, this was expressed in the Paris of the Middle East, with long alleys of green trees and a lot of peace.
If we, from an israeli point of view, try to support the basic feeling and culture of the Lebanese, by being good and supportive neighbours, then we can help the Lebanese find themselves again, and thus win a good neighbour.
Who knows, perhaps we can even be friends with the Lebanese in these difficult hours of the Lebanese, and their terrible struggle with crime, chaos and bombs going off.
That is painful for the valiant and great Phoenicians living next door to Israel.
We as good neighbours and friends from the last time we were in the vicinity can perhaps be a good friend and a spiritual ally.
We share the urge for peace with the Lebanese, perhaps that is a good embarking point with a shared friendship across borders.
G-d bless the will to fiend peace with the amazing and ancient people living next door to Israel. May we find peace.
Congratulations with the budding peace offer from the Lebanese.
To understand the profoundness of this move, you have to see it in a historical perspective.
We have been friends before, and we can be friends again, if we see the shared destiny and ideology between Israel and Lebanon.
But to that, we need to understand what Lebanon really is.
What is Lebanon?
Lebanon is the heir to the trading empire of the Phoenicians, that seems to have vanished in the fall of Karthage.
You know the story about Hannibal, the fight with amazing war elephants and the ultimate downfall of Carthagenian empire and the Punes (Phoenicians).
While as the sister culture of the Karthagenian Phoenicians disappeared in the west, Lebanon went under the radar, and has kept its ideology and culture more or less intact ever since. The symbol of the cedar tree that is in the flag of Lebanon is the cultural symbol of the trading Phoenicians. They started trade with cedar trees, that they shipped of to Egypt and other places. It is good building material.
Now historically we Jews have learned a lot from the wise Phoenicians, not least the idea of the Kabbalistic tree of life, that was the main idea of the Phoenicians. You can see it in the construction of the first temple of Israel, that was a copy of the temple of Tyre, the main temple of the Phoenicians.
There is a symbolic representation of the the pillars of mercy and severity of the two pillars that were in front of the first temple. It was built by Solomon with the help of Lebanese, a guy called Hikmet.
We were allies with the Lebanese at the time of the construction of the first temple, they even tought us trade, something we have kept holding on to since that time, and have developed a lot.
In other words, when we were in Israel the first time, we were friends so what will hinder us from being friends again?
I know, that this comes at a time, where Hezbollah have kind of overstayed their welcome, due to the fact, that they have not been the best at keeping their bombs under wraps.
So, maybe it is time for Israel to become friends with the Lebanese again, sharing a destiny as we did the first time.
Don’t underestimate the Lebanese, they are an ancient and wise civilization. We have learned from them before, and therefor we can say, that we have no arrogance towards them, they are ancients friends lets hope they can be friends again.
G-d bless the will of spirit in the pursuit of peace in the Middle East.
You can say a lot about mr. Biden, but one thing is certain, he makes good choices. I really and truly believe, that the choice of Kamala Harris is an informed and well balanced attempt at trying to merge the different factions of the Democratic party.
The one faction is the multicultural, Frankfurterschool marxism of Adorno and the other jewish marxists that went from Germany in flight of the Nazis.
The other faction is the neo conservative faction that I represent. That is essentially a Hegelian, marxist school that combines Marx, Hegel and off cause some of the work, that I have humbly done.
So these two factions, that fight internally in the Democratic party has become one in the choice of ms. Harris.
Now, having made a philosophical trend, does not make me arrogant. I understand and respect others point of view. I am for Change and Hope, but multiculturalism has its pros and cons.
I truly hope, that the choice of ms. Harris will propel the democratic party to a new level of development.
Dont forget the American Revolution, that is, until now, the best revolution there was. It still needs the sacrifice of the heroes to live. But at the other hand, reaching out and compromise is also important, because after all, most conflicts are simply misunderstandings. Lets put these misunderstandings behind us, and find each other again. Finding unity.
G-d bless the American Revolution and its children to march forward, to reach the promised land.
Differentiating between “black” culture and “white” culture does not make much sense to me.
There is civilisation, and it has nothing to do with the color of your skin.
Civilisation is, essentially, a Mesopotamian and Egyptian set of principles that were developed 3000 years ago in the classical Mediterranean time.
The most common source to this time is the bible, that tells us about the stories of old; Noah, David, Moses, Job, Abraham.
A source to the ideas of the fertile crescent at its time of glory.
These ideas, that actually propel humanity forward to a much better place, that is the dreams of paradise and Eden, is the heritage of all man. A guide to a life here on earth we can reach if we work hard enough. It is salvation.
I know and understand, that you may have differences in culture and the way you look, but the end goal is the same regardless of where we come from as human beings.
So perhaps unity is a much better goal to strive for, than all the conflict and frustration that has come with the Corona virus.
I get it, it is truly frustrating and the world seems to be upside down, but at the end of the day, life is reachable as a life worth living here on earth, if we truly listen to the ancients that were, actually, most of them people of color.
G-d bless the will to do good, have good thoughts, and good actions. G-d bless the peace we may obtain, if we truly will.
Making a life for yourself is not easy. I talk from my own experience. Blaming others for your own misfortune will not bring you any relief. I talk of my own experience here also. I mean, I have been in the keen eye of the government for quite some time now, been deplatformed and otherwise have had a really tough time.
But, be as it may, somehow, praise spirit, I have prevailed, and therefor my own experience is. That if you work hard, stay on the right side of the law, and struggle to foster a nice family, you can actually make a good life for yourself.
That is the wisdom of Luther, that hard work, dedication and a strong commitment to your fellowman CAN give you a good life.
Victimhood, that some people seeks to give people as me, who are not white, will not bring me any good. But honest work, and a dedication to my family will.
I think, that perhaps, that that is an important lesson to share in these times where we are pointing fingers at everybody all the time. Your fault! Is the first thing seems to be saying these days.
Maybe everything is not everybody else’s fault? Maybe you yourself is responsible for your own life?
My experience is, that maybe I could blame people around me, and to be honest, there have been times, when I have done so. Pointing fingers, being angry at people around me.
But my own happiness will not be ensured by pointing fingers, it rests, solely in my own two hands.
My hands CAN build a future for myself. But it requires dedication, self-sacrifice and a huge heart for my fellowman.
In other words, being responsible for ones own life, is what it is about. Blaming others won’t get you anywhere, but supporting your community and family will actually get you somewhere.
When I look at my two kids, they inspire me, and keeps me on the right track. Because they are so dependent on me. I can’t go around putting them in harms way, that will wreck their lives.
So maybe its time to do some serious soul-searching. Who is to blame? Everybody else, or you own actions.
We CAN build a good society and make unity, if we try, but it requires self-sacrifice, hard work and dedication.
G-d bless the peace we CAN find, if we are strong enough.
There is a good, solid conflict brewing in the West. The conflict between China and the US including mainly Anglo Saxon allies. That is the empire.
This conflict has its ups and down, the main up is the character of the conflict. It is totally unbloody. It is a new form of cold war, that we still have not really wrapped our heads around.
The arms race of cyberwar.
What is cyberwar? Cyberwar is essentially hacking gone crazy. Where hacking in the old world, before it was truly weaponised, was annoying the feds as small kids, and stealing secrets like Wikipedia, these days it is government controlled attacks on infrastructure and weapons.
You can, if you are really, really good, control a hangarship.
We have seen the potential of cyberwar in Israels complete wrecking of Iran and in Chinas small, but truly effective wrecking of Australia.
So, it is a new way of fighting, it favours those with the best computerskills and the best computers.
And guess who is leading the fray in this area, no you guessed wrong, it is not the US, it is China.
China is the best, not only a little, but they are in their own league.
Catching up to them, is what NATO and the Anglo-Saxons security measures is all about.
How do we do that?
We do it by looking at it as it is; it is a weapons race. As in the cold war with the Russians, it is not bombs we are racing to beat the chinese with, it is cyber machinery.
Where the competition in the old times were atomic warheads, these days it is the sheer power of quantum computing, hacking skills and so on.
In other words a job for Microsoft and mr. Bill Gates.
Put him in charge of this fight, if he wants, and you will see some real progress.
The thing is, it is complicated. You can’t just make more bombs, you need to make bigger computers, invest in security, manpower and so on. All this has to be integrated into all kinds of things.
So you need an expert to fight this fight, here mr. Gates is THE best choice to my mind. He loves his country, and he is a good guy.
He can do it. So put him on the task, with immense respect to his contribution to the world off cause. It is not an order or something of that kind, but a very, very kind request to help the US.
Otherwise the US, is in harms way a few years from now, and a good, solid, sympathetic fighter like Gates is the best bet to my mind, if he wants. Maybe he can recommend someone, if he is not interested in the job.
But, this time around it is not atomic warheads we need to worry about but hacking ability and capacity.
So lets build some serious hardware with that wonderful stamp on it; Made in America.
G-d bless the will to make peace if possible, but prepare for the worst. Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Listen guys, you have two choices, either you follow the tenants of Karl Marx, or you follow the tenants that I have made in the consecutive development of socialism.
Please let me try and explain.
Karl Marx tried to envision a society that was the opposite of the ideas that the philosopher Hegel envisioned. Hegel was one of the founding fathers of German nationalism (before Hitler).
In Hegels vision, the nation is a spiritually driven idea or perspective that would lead people to enligthentment. You still are very strong in this regard in the US; G-d bless America is a Hegelian idea.
Marx wanted to Change the ideas, and he did, but we need to realise, that he had some progress, but some of the ideas he made were not good. Among them the defection of the nation state.
Believing in your country is not a bad thing, it is a good thing.
Globalism has showed us, that no borders make a huge mess. We have seen it, not least in the EU, that is, honestly a huge mess.
There are some theoretical ideas to explain this. I have discussed it in the light of the ancient ideas of the city state of Sparta, that was Marx ideal state. Lycurgus, the philosophical founder of Sparta was quite clear about how to make a commune. It has to be closed, hermetically closed.
In my view, this is where Marx makes his worst mistake. He has this idea, that workers can unite all over the world. That is a good idea, but to be realistic, each unit has to be closed in order for each commune to work. At least this is the idea of Lycurgus, and he made a system that worked for 700 years, dig that.
In other words, the logical development of socialism is to go back to Hegel for the spiritually enlightened nation, fixing the flaw of the Marxist idea, and making a system that actually work.
Add to this a reenacting of the family as the basic commune, and there you have an immensely strong political system.
Still we need to keep all the ideas and lore of the French revolution to my mind, these ideas were really good; enlightenment of the press, democracy and that city at the top of the hill.
Understanding these ideas and visions, that is the basis of Change is really important I think. Not only to save America, that is in dire straits, but also to save liberalism as such.
We are in a corner, with our back against the wall, therefor we need Change.
G-d bless the United States of America.
Welcome mr. Pompeo, foreign secretary, visiting Denmark for the first time.
To me, that is a beautiful sign of cooperation between Denmark and the US.
Here is why; essentially we are family. I have thought quite a bit about my own engagement with the US, how I have tried to help, support and be a good ally.
But it goes deeper, a lot of the Nielsens, Rasmussens, and Olsen that live in the US now, used to be Danes.
So they have become Americans, and that is perfectly ok. But it still bears to the fact, that we share common roots.
Just take Disney, that seems to be the next successor after Hans Christian Andersen. The film Frost that has just been such a mega success, was inspired by a fairytale of H.C. Andersen.
But it goes deeper, a lot of the Frontier wagons that settled in the west were driven by Danish farmers. They must still be out there somewhere singing lonesome tunes of a land long forgotten. Little buckaroo and all that.
But at the heart of our relationship lies a common ancestry as well as a common religion.
As you are Protestants, so are we (to be honest, I am a Jew, but I still love the Protestant ideas that is here in Denmark, so I convey them). This gives you guys an opportunity to be inspired by ancient Danish Protestant thinkers like Loegstrup and Grundtvig.
These thinkers are of a exceptional quality, some of the ideas have already become mainstream through Niels Bohr, that was a good friend of Loegstrup. Like open source and all these values that fuel the computer industry, the way he worked that gave us the Google and Facebook work ethics of open, free working and so on.
But these ideas are a part of Danish development, and a lot of them have not really been introduced to the Americans. They are in a sense apocryphal, because you need to be in the know to have access to them.
Like the ideas about trust, that Loegstrup also worked on.
But at the other hand, you must realize, that even though we are the source of a lot of American culture, we still admire many the amazing achievement you have done. Not least the ideas that led to the non violence development that gave us Martin Luther King and Mahatma Ghandi. Beacons of humanism and enlightenment.
We also love the way you have made the countryside of the US so full of beautiful places and so rich in culture. We like the cowboys here in Denmark, and off cause respect people of color in all variations.
As time progresses and we develop our civilization, hopefully this rich friendship will continue to bring new and better people and development that will hopefully make a better world for both Denmark as well as the US.
We love you guys, and we hope that the feelings are the same at the other side of the pond.
We are so proud of you.
G-d bless the will to be honest in thought, and brave in action to be the makers of a better world. G-d bless the United States of America, and may it always prevail.
Currently I read a less known classic, a ‘founding father’ of caricature and the poking of fun against the high minded. A sport that started in the Ancient Greece with a lot of cool and funny writers, and was continued in Rome.
The guy is called Lucian, and he is cool to say the least. He is honest, funny and deep.
He has this tirade against power, that I really like, and it goes to the core of what enlightenment is in the civilized world.
He takes off from a funny place compared to modern days. He discusses slander. How slander can be weaponized and used to degrade and destroy otherwise wonderful people of achievement.
He says, that slander is the tool of the less accomplished, those who only do things sloppily and without much skill.
He points to the fact, that slander is evil in its core, and abuses power by secretly inflaming peoples thirst for revenge and hatred.
He has this example of people who are kind, strong and wise, and how they meet the world with openness, just to meet the hatred of others.
Thereby giving a win to the slanderer.
We live in this world, where we are constantly slandering other people. Not believing them, and trying to figure out the motives we believe they have, but they do not have.
What is the remedy?
The light, enlightenment, to speak the truth.
Often this is forgotten these days, as we delve into bipartisanship and name calling.
We should not, but have the guts and ethical strength to look at things without prejudging.
Now that is the path to less popularity, that is the fact of it. Me myself, I am still deplatformed, my network is slowly rebuilding after years of government destruction and vilification. So I know the price, perhaps better than most.
But at the core of ethical principles, this is the first amendment and therefor also the basis upon which we need to stand.
The Statue of Liberty tells that story, that in order to be free, you need to be truthful therefor the importance of free speech.
G-d bless the will to find truth in what we do and say.
Seriously New York Times, firing a journalist, because she did not conform with Black Lives Matter identity politics. Here in Denmark we are still in chock over the act.
Listen, New York Times is supposed to be, like my own family’s conservative newspaper Berlingske Tidende, a beacon of light.
What is that, and how are we supposed to interpret that.
Let us have an honest look at it.
Brandes a strong humanist and the founder of Politiken, the leading humanist newspaper of Denmark, called Politiken; an organ of the highest enlightenment.
Enlightenment being the keyword here.
What is enlightenment?
Enlightenment is, ideally, to spread truth, wherever truth is supposed to be. Thereby fighting darkness, or lies and deceit.
Since lies and deceit are the basis of evil. Being a lightbringer is a fight for a better world.
There it is. That is the basic point of the Statue of Liberty, that all the masses of poor people met when they came to Ellis Island.
You are a reflection of that.
So, off cause this is your own choice, but seen from the outside, as a humanist, leaving that mission, is a very sad thing.
It is the core of a humanistic, Democratic state.
G-d bless the will to continue the fight for the light against the darkness.
