England is suffering, the young are in danger, and the acid is flowing in the bottles, ready to be thrown at anyone, even children.
This is difficult, and I understand, that many intellectuals in England are wont to challenge these difficulties, and do not wish to get their careers burdened with too much heavy accusing from people who tend to see any criticism of the multicultural society as racism.
But you MUST. Criticizing the multicultural society is not the same as racism per se. It depends on the the theoretical basis you discuss from.
The problem with many racist right wing groups is, that their criticism is based on racism. So, what do you want, a pure white race, or acid in bottles thrown at people?
The answer is off cause, neither.
But you still have to discuss the murders, the terrorattacks and the heinous crimes against the girls of Rotherham and other cities.
What you do, in my opinion, is to base your criticism on democratic virtue.
What is the democratic virtue. It is humanism in its original form. That is enlightenment and the will to see each individual person as something sacred and beautiful.
If you do that, you can see, that neither racism or multiculturalism in its current form is good.
You can say no to both, and aim at a society, where all are brothers in the belief, that the sacredness of living things are most important. Humanity, care for the human and other living beings.
That is the basis you can stand on, and still retain your humanity.
Because that is humanity.
G-d bless the will to be human in the current crisis of our international societies.
Well concerning the Iran deal. I made it, and I did hope to get the support of the EU in the keeping of the deal. The EU however is slowly melting down, and is not capeable in turning the boat around like the US has done.
So, in essence, it is not a serious partner in this process. I wish it was, I have reached out, but nothing comes of it. Maybe it is because they do not know me personally and are therefor afraid of me, or some other argument. But that is the way it is.
I am alone in trying to keep the JCPOA afloat.
First of all. I have no problem in trying to expand the deal. It could happen, there are things that mr. Netanyahu is not happy about. Let us get it on the table.
Secondly, let us have a look at what the Iranians are doing. They have upheld the agreement to the letter, and are essentially honest about it.
That is a clear indication, that if they are truly respected, they can be a serious partner.
We made peace with them, because these people are essentially an honourable people. I do not agree on some of the ideas of Teheran, I believe that women and gays should be respected. But, I also recognize, that the Iranian people are essentially an honest and good people.
In fact, all the Iranians i have ever met, I have really liked.
I don’t know, if the deal is void, maybe it is. But nevertheless, it will always stand as an example of a peace process, that actually worked.
Peace comes from two equals, that respect each other. That respect is based on might sometimes, and ethics at other times.
With the Iranians, it has always been about self esteem, and virtue. They do not like being pushed around, and they only respect people who are virtuous.
So, my best advice is. Have a look at the current deal, and then come up with some kind of remake.
But make sure, that the Iranian do not lose face. They have a liberal as well as conservative part of their society, and we need to understand that they have limits to what they can do.
G-d bless the peace we can find.
Mr. Bannon is trying to influence the EU, or Europe with a new think tank. Well, that is good and all, but seriously, Breibart (the blog network Mr. Bannon was born in) was spawned as a reaction to the Mohammad cartoon crisis ten years ago. So in many ways then the US was influenced by Denmark, still is.
So why do Bannon come to Europe to influence us, why not just cooperate?
I hereby invite Mr. Bannon to have a free hand in Europe, based on the premise, that we are in this together.
Call me, please, send me an email.
G-d bless the will to cooperate.
Well, this is essentially the last wake up call for the European Union, either you write me a mail and give me a budget for the renaissance of the project or it is finished.
The Iran peacedeal is moving, and you haven’t even started your own process yet.
So WAKE UP! Write me a mail at least, you could just promise that you are serious about these things, or just do not.
The world is moving fast, and you need to keep up.
Apart from this, I hope that the Iran peacedeal that Mr. Trump is aiming at, will be fruitful.
G-d bless the will to actually do something and fight for a renewed existence.
Working on a blog as Rubicon.dk is a blast, I admit it. I love doing it, I do it to Change the world into something better. I hope that when you come here as a reader, you get ideas to improve your world.
But, at the same time. Doing it for free is a hassle. It is difficult because there is a wife to make happy, kids to feed, money to pay to make a roof over ours heads. Things like that.
So, if you wish to contribute to keeping Rubicon.dk afloat, please do so. It is really appreciated.
When you make a donation, tell me why you did so. I will not change the course of the blog because of the donation. But it is really good to hear from the readers. What are their concerns, their worries, what they need to make their lives better.
It is off cause under full confidentiality.
Asger@rubicon.dk
I am here as rabbi a priest or an imam. To listen, support and help where help is needed.
G-d bless you, and may your projects bear fruit.
The European Union is not getting things turned around. It seems to me, that the will is slowly materializing. But the true will to do something has to come.
It is the leadership that is the problem. Mr. Junker seems to be a positive and honourable man. He means well, but we need some decisive action now. Someone with the strength and will to move the ship around a Barack Obama or Donald Trump. A person with strength and integrity.
I don’t know if such a person even exists within the European system, but without such a person the slow decline will just continue.
G-d bless the will to do something else.
I am getting more optimistic, as mr. Trump develops his presidentship internationally. The meeting with mr. Putin seems to be an all out victory. Peacedeals, a deal on Syria, renewed communications between the US and Russia. These are all good signs.
Why? Because Russia is not really an enemy anymore. Yes, it is a competitor, but competitors can be worked with on a diplomatic basis.
I know, that the press and many in the Democratic camp are loath to give mr. Trump any credit. He is very provocative, and annoying sometimes. But a man should not be judged on his appearance, but on his results.
This gives the US a free hand in the confrontation with China. Leaving a lot of resources to deal with that country, that truly is an enemy.
But off cause, we need to challenge mr. Trump also, but with good, positive strategies and ideas. Not just frustration.
Being up against a good opponent, is difficult and frustrating. But instead of being sorrry, lets change the mood, and see what we can do to find new ideas and better strategies.
G-d bless the will to do good, and find new positive ways.
The Middle East is not really in my hands anymore. When I worked with mr. Obama, he used my ideas, and consequently brought some peace to the Middle East. The Iran deal is lauded as the most successful attempt at making peace in the Middle East.
But mr. Netanyahu wanted otherwise, and convinced mr. Trump. You know, that is ok, maybe I am wrong, and the ideas that I am working on are not at the sufficient quality. Maybe the religious ideas of rav Ashlag are too poor a quality to work in the long run. That may be so.
If that is so, then Netanyahu will perhaps make peace, and the idea of peace through strength will work. It has worked before, so maybe it will work again.
To me, I was truly surprised that mr. Trump made the North Korea deal, so maybe he will be able to make a deal in the Middle East that will actually work.
To be honest, I hope so. This is not about my vanity, it is about the peace of the Middle East. So my vanity is in the big picture absolutely unimportant.
The Palestinians, or whatever we call them, have increased their activity with a new weapon. The Molotov cocktail kite bombs. They have a lot of success with this, if killing innocent people can count as a success.
It also does not give Israel any plus points when they do it. When Hamas and the other local Palestinians did all the Kassam bombs, they lost a lot of international credit. Why? Because at that time, we were doing the Iran peace deal, and you cannot attack a peacemaker.
After the Iran deal was rendered to naught, Israel has lost a bit of the moral high ground, and there is more space for the Gazans.
I believe in rav Ashlag, and I am not naiv. Still most of what I put up in the Middle East is holding. It is just a scratch in the surface.
That is why I have realized, that peace was not given in one fell stroke, but has to come over many years.
I will not be able to descend on Israel tomorrow and make the temple, but hopefully in ten or twenty years I will.
The momentum of the first wave of my ideas are now ebbing out in the Middle East, and we are facing another kind of development. That of slow consolidation.
The aim is, to make a common platform for all the monotheistic religions.
This is what the Middle East is essentially all about. That is the true purpose of the Middle East. Everybody knows it, and they have faith in it. By the will of G-d we will do his work.
This is not over, we just have to be a bit more patient.
It was the same with David. First he became the chosen by G-d, then he was rejected by the Israelites. But ultimately, it is not for us to decide. It is up to G-d. I believe, that what we are supposed to do, is to remake the realm of G-d here on Earth. That is what religion is all about.
Sometimes we do the opposite, and do not succeed with our work. Sometimes we get a step closer to this aim.
We are the tools of G-d, and we will succeed.
G-d bless the will to respect the will of spirit, and see through our own misconceptions and selfish needs.
Things are really changing in Europe, whether the politcal elite wants it or not. Essentially these are the ideas, that I had to happen to make ten years ago, that is really wreaking havoc in the political elite.
Now even the American president is in on it, not making it very easy to keep to old ways. Well done mr. President. It was a bit tough what you did, but the truth needed to be told, well done.
My ideas are not revolutionary in the sense, that I want to change the system itself. They are revolutionary in the sense, that I want people to remember what the ideas of our civilisation are. There is nothing wrong with Democracy or the rule of law. But the current administration is not working, because we have forgotten the basic ideas of a Democracy. We have become to relaxed and totally unserious about these things.
We have to be serious again. I know that changing things are difficult. But you have to change in order to follow the ideas an needs of the people.
They want and need security, so this is what you need to provide. Take Italy, they are in deep trouble, you need to take them out of that trouble.
The world is full of fighting and strife. It is not a happy place, it is a dangerous place.
To make peace, you need to accept this, and support and protect your citizens.
My plans do not necessarily involve getting rid of the EU. It is a safety net that is put beneath the European nations. So that they may survive.
But the European Union needs to step up, and not do what it has done for 40 + years. Do something else, Change, perhaps.
G-d bless the will to be humble in the changing tides of history.
When we went from a Frankfurterschool liberalism to an Obama liberalism, what was the change essentially?
As I see it, the essential change was to move from a pretty simple way to look at the world, onto a much more detailed and civilised way of looking at the world.
The Frankfurterschool believes that the minority has to be protected from the majority. This is off cause right. In a democracy, the minorities are often put down. So we need to protect them.
But, and that is very important. We still have to remember that the core of Democratism is off cause Democracy but also humanism.
The US is a Democratic/humanist system, right?
So, my idea was to try and remember what the US really is. See it as it is in all its beauty. A beauty that has been forgotten in the years after the American revolution. A revolution that brought forth freedom and humanity.
Democracy is essentially a northern European way of deciding and doing things. Its viking. Rousseau was quite open about that. Freedom comes from Scandinavia and the UK, plus Germany and France.
This is the way we like to do things.
Humanism at the other hand is not a European idea, its an Egyptian idea. Brought forth firstly by the Medicis of the Italian Renaissance, and then kept by the freemasons, giving birth to the US as an Egyptian/humanistic system.
That is why there are so many Egyptian things in the US. Pyramids on the dollar bills, Steles and other Egyptian magical buildings.
So, instead of focusing so much on minorities only, I think it is important, that we go back the very foundation of the US. To make it clear for all Americans what the US really is.
That is the unifying thing, that can and will bring Americans together.
I am not perfect, I did things wrong. But my work lies directly in the tradition of rev. Martin Luther King, and that is a project of unity not of division.
Civil rights are a unifying thing, a democratic/humanistic renaissance is a unifying thing. Its the same, just with a bit different angle and some other elements. But the IDEA the same. To create a common platform for all of us.
So I am not hired mercenary. I happen to believe in these things, and it is not working for me in Europe very well. So you cannot chose your readers, your readers chose you.
Anyway. I know that the Democratic party is in problems and so on. But there is a platform to stand on. And that is the one, that Barack Obama created. A platform of decency, honesty, enlightenment, freedom and responsibility.
So, do not despair, work on, find yourselves as Americans, and things will Change.
G-d bless the will to do good, and be honest with the things we have.
Nothing happens in the EU that is planned. Everything is just quenching one fire after the other.
That is what you usually call reactive behaviour. You react to what happens to you, you are not proactive. That is planned on what you do.
Everybody else in this competition of global dominance are proactive. They try to influence people and powers around them to their best ability.
The EU is just a mess.
So, what do you do when you are in a mess. You make a plan to get you out of the mess, and you try. More often than not, this plan backfires, gets you in another direction than you thought and so on. But at least you are trying.
So, instead of focusing on the problems only, try and make a plan for the entire project.
I proposed one that is, honestly, the best you can get. But nothing has happened yet. If that is the way you want to do it. Ok, np, but the rest of the world is in trouble, and we need to move on with the issues we need to solve.
The Middle East is powder keg, and we need to find solutions for it. The EU has had a stance as a defender of the Obama peacetreaty.
But with the current chaos in the EU. The EU cannot deliver anything.
If nothing happens, well, then we need to take the EU out of the equation, and work with what we have.
Instead of using so much energy and time on the self-inflicted problems of the EU, we will have to move as individual countries.
I am sorry, but you are seriously sitting on your own hands not trying at least to make some kind of plan to change things.
That is the recipe for disaster. Now you know, so perhaps at least trying to do something would be an idea.
G-d bless the will to Change things.
I know, that mr. Trump is not that popular in Europe. But, at the other hand, he is still European in his descent, his family came from Germany, and he is VERY European in his way of doing things.
Maybe he is more Icelandic than haute couture. But he is still one of us.
Therefor, my view is; give him space, listen to him. He comes with a lot of criticism. But a lot of it is honestly right. Why should the US pay for our security?
So give him the benefit of the doubt, and see if we can make a deal.
He is one of us.
G-d bless the will to be strong in argument, but open in compromise.
The trade war with China is not really working, this is why.
First of all, you need to see it from the perspective of Adam Smith. Adam Smith coined the way we do international trade today. He believed that, if the trade is free, it will give everybody a good chance to compete with each of their virtues. Making a market that everybody were happy in and could prosper for.
At the other hand, he believed, that the producers of goods, were supposed to be loyal to the nations they produced things in.
Like Apple, they used to make all their things in China, now they have started to move some production back to the US. Out of loyalty to the US as a common Democratic project. Thank you Apple, we appreciate that.
So, my idea was to commend and help and do everything we can for the producers of goods, that are loyal to the US. It worked, wonders in fact, it has never been better in the US economically.
So, how do the Chinese screw with this system (sorry for the strong wording). They do it by not really allowing free trade to China, while as they abuse free trade in the world. In other words, we allow them to sell to us, but they do not allow us to sell to them. Yes, within limits, and often at the price of knowledge drain.
So in a sense, they are too protectionistic, and also uses the state to make business.
Thereby giving them an unfair advantage. So, in essence, they are not playing fair.
I do not know about Europe, but I do not think that we are trying to play unfair with the US, not a lot at least, and not in the amount the Chinese are doing it. So, we should not trade blows.
But China is not accepting and following the rules, and should therefor be punished.
G-d bless the will to be sharp on priority.
The way back as a dominant power in the world, is extremely difficult.
There are no easy fixes, but rather a number extremely hard decisions we need to do to carry on.
The challenges are numerous, and the resources we have are not scarce, but very difficult to use, due to the lack of faith and motivation.
So, WE NEED TO REFORM. I urgently ask the different leaders of Europe, to take up my idea about a renewal of the European Union. We are walking on thin ice here, so we need to step lightly. But we need to do it.
Take a look at my reform plan, and DO IT.
Its all just a matter talking up the process, and then fulfil it.
G-d bless the will to act before it is too late.
It must have been a long night discussing the new approach to migration in Europe. To be honest, there is not much new in the deal, but that is really not the true good thing coming out of the meeting.
The good thing is, that the Union is actually going from apathy and indecision to some kind of clarity.
This is due to the cooperation between the leaders of the different nations.
THAT is the way EU will have to work in the future.
By making agreements on an international level.
If it works, make more of it. And make it the cornerstone of the reform.
G-d bless the will to think anew what does not work anymore.
When I grew up in place called Avedøre Stationsby, I grew up with the consequences of minority ideas made up byt the Frankfurterschool.
My mom married a nice guy from Bangladesh, but he left her, so she was a divorcee in a rough neighborhood.
This neighborhood was full of “minorities”, people from the Middle East, Northern Africa, and a lot poor Danes.
To be honest, this was not nice, it was full of drugs, people having psychological problems and general discomfort. There were nice things here and there, but you just couldn’t trust people where I grew up.
Then I moved to place called Vesterbro in Copenhagen. A part of the city a bit like my old neighborhood, but still with very few migrants.
There was a different vibe in Vesterbro, yes there were poor people and a lot of crime. But we took care of each other, and though the kids were rough, there were still limits. We even had a nice place for the young adults, where they could make music, and be the tough kids with the deep understanding of the street as a fair but tough environment to grow up in.
Then Vesterbro started to change, and look more and more like Avedøre Stationsby. It became darker. A lot of the people that migrated to Vesterbro from muslim countries really hated the West, and started abusing the young girls, and treating everybody very terribly.
This made me see, that there was something wrong.
Then the Mohamad cartoon crisis came, and the muslim world went crazy on Denmark.
You can argue about the validity of the angriness, but seen from my point of view, it was unfair. We had done nothing to treat the muslim world badly, and the reaction was unproportioned.
I had been minted a philosopher just a year before the incident, and had had very little success.
So, this was my chance I thought.
Knowing that migration is not necessarily a blessing. I stated thinking about what to do, where the weak points were, and the general lay out of the land in terms of academic understanding.
That lead me understand, that there was a whole level missing in our understanding of minorities.
Being a minority myself, in many ways actually, I could see, that the priority we were given left something very important in the equation. The whole basis of the democratic state was missing.
I mean, you could be a minority and hate Democracy, and still be protected. You could be a criminal, a demagogue, hate Jews or gays, but having a status as minority gave you a possibility to do whatever you wanted.
That was wrong, it is still wrong.
So, I thought about it, and concluded, that if there were Muslims who did not accept or were loyal to Democracy and the rule of law, their status as a minority where forfeit.
That is fair. If you do not respect or accept Human rights, including the respect Democratic law, you are an obvious threat to the state.
So, we starting fighting The Muslim Brotherhood, ISIS and so on.
At the other hand. I tried to instill the respect for the virtues of Democracy and the rule of law in ourselves. Fighting for Democracy was good, but we need to have faith ourselves as well.
So I supported rev. Martin Luther Kings Civil rights movement. Here was a good man, trying to bring people together and not sow discord. He wanted to build a platform, and make people dream of a better world.
To me, Civil rights are above minority rule.
Because minority preference is essentially white supremacy thinking. I am sorry, but that is the way it is. The minorities are the helpless blacks or gays and so on, and the whites are the good people helping the poor blacks.
That is not equality, that is supremacy. Just in new clothing.
Just because you are black or gay, it doesn’t mean you need help. I mean, I do actually work ok myself. I can fend for myself.
What I think minorities really need is not preferential treatment, but respect. I think we need to be treated like everybody else, because we are like everybody else.
I think that the presidency of Mr. Barack Obama essentially proved that.
He is not white, but he did good, and we need to stop prioritizing minorities, and just respect them.
Then we need to see, that those who really lost in this minority preference were the poor white guys.
They missed the train, and now they need some help getting on their feet as well.
I say this not as a white guys, because I am not. But because this is what civil rights is about. Helping, sharing, trying to be your brothers keeper, not looking at the skin of people, but who they are.
G-d bless the will to support a world, where we are together and not separated.
A lot of the problems that is in the world right now, is due to shortsighted politics. Especially the humanists of different colors are not realistic about the challenges that face the world at large, and especially the western world.
I am a humanist, not only am I a humanist, I think I would define myself as priest of humanism.
I believe in it, I have traced its roots all the way back over the Medicis to Egypt.
This is what I do, carry on the light of the Egyptian sun worshipers.
So, why am I termed as a right wing populist by many humanists?
To me, it is because I am a true believer, and thus do see things in a much more complex light.
The core of humanism is not the care of people or the nature, it is the will to be enlightened. The uncompromising search for truth.
Why? Because as the ancients say, the truth and the light are the same.
Spreading light is being true where there were no truth before.
Why is this so important? Because the humane decisions you want to take, can only be taken if they are based on realistic assessment of a situation.
Take the fight against islam. We could have fought all islam, but that would have been unfair to many muslims. At the other hand, we need to fight those who burn down our cities.
So, based on a thorough analysis of islam. I defined the enemy as islamists, that is political muslims. The other muslims were accepted and even supported.
This is a way of enlightenment, the solution to a difficult problem is based on a true understanding of the subject matter.
The same goes for the problems we have with migration. This is an even worse dilemma.
At one hand, if we do not help, these people will suffer. But if we help them by giving them a free pass to Europe, most Europeans will suffer.
Since our primary interest lie with the citizens of Europe, we must prioritize them.
Add to this, we need to be serious about the magnitude of the problem. The amount of people of the world are sky rocketing, it can only end up in a huge fight.
So we need to be ready for that, and serious about it.
That is the long term goal.
We cannot just give away our ressources now when we need them the most.
This is a dilemma with no winners, and the explosion that is in the horizon is getting larger and larger.
So we need to honest about this.
The humanist answer to a problem is then not just to think about the here and now, but based on a thorough analysis of the problem find the MOST humane solution.
Just before ragnarok, there are no simple easy answers, only terrible ones. And not doing anything, is the worst you can do for everybody.
But humanism prevails, if it is done in a true manner, it even is the only solution to the problems we face, because it will give us the least amount of pain, all of us.
G-d bless the will to be true about the mayhem that we are trying to avoid.
Ok, now the plan for a possible reform has been finished and send into the EU system. If the commission wants to speed up the process, I know there are ways to do this.
Please consider this. The whole system is almost falling apart, and we need action immideatly.
There are a vast numbers of difficulties for at reform of the EU. As you can see under weaknesses in the attached application. So, making a reform now is almost impossible, we need to be sharp on the ball.
But, that is the way it is.
Now, we from the conservative opposition to the EU have been very critical towards the whole project for a number of reasons, valid reasons. But to counter the critical stance, one also needs to be constructive.
So this is us being constructive.
There are many issues to consider, some of them already presented here on the blog. But there are many more.
I hope we can get the ball running, and we need start the game as fast a possible.

Well, here we are, at the potential end of the European Union. Let me be clear about the cause of this crisis. It is not about extreme rightwing populism. It is the effect of very poor political work of the European Union, and the rest of the political establishment.
I mean, everybody knows, that the African countries are going through a slow decay in terms of statehood, and at the same time have birthrates that hit the roof.
In this situation, decreasing the civil security is perhaps not the best of strategies.
The obvious result will be a lot of chaos where innocent people lose their lives, and general mayhem is in abundance.
A little foresigt, and resolute planning could have avoided the situation.
Now we are entering the pivotal development that I have planned for the last ten years, and it stands on a knife´s edge.
The strategy that I have planned, and has been set into motion with the people that use my ideas, is forced remigration.
This has to be done in the most humane way, but it is necessary to do it not to lose Europe as a continent.
Do the math, if this continues, Europe will be finished as a livable area. It will be full of mass crime acts, and the societies that we have now will crumble.
These are the stakes. So we can either accept that, and do something about it, or reject it and cease as a society.
It reminds me a lot about the migrations that came form Northern Europe that finished the Roman Empire.
The major obstacle we are running into now is the complete rejection of African countries in taking their citizens back. A pretty peculiar understanding of international law.
The migrants in Europe are not members of any European state, but members of African states, so there is where they belong.
We do not need these people, and we do not want them.
As I have said before, it comes down to lethal force. Is the European Union ready to use lethal force or not.
If not, it will fall, if, it will prevail.
It is as simple as that.
G-d bless the will to be honest and realistic about the awful challenges we face.
Usually the great leaps of development in Europe has been done by different kinds of magus, strange esoteric persons and alchemists.
People like Jung and Freud who invented psychology, Newton who reintroduced mathematics and physics in mainstream, Paracelsus who is modern father of medicine and so on.
We have a long tradition for a kind of fusion between science and the esoteric traditions of Europe.
Things have spun around differently. In England, the fusion is the most profound. Oxford is literally a temple of magic, my temple of magic at least.
In Germany the freethinkers were usually drunkards and geniuses.
In Denmark, the tradition I hail from, we are lonely philosophers. Like Kierkegaard you probably know.
Isolated in the tower of polished ivory.
I will try and be more polished if I am to make a renewal of EU politics. But seriously, a philosopher in the heart of Bruxelles, how would that ever go?
You know, I do not walk around with a suit on, but travel around visiting strange societies of freethinkers.
But then again, maybe Bruxelles could use a little magic. Who knows, the city seems pretty broken, so a little healing would probably be well received.
We will see, we need to do the attempt, and if it doesn’t work, well at least we tried.
Until then the philosopher needs to get his work finished, at least with the project plan. Then who knows, the magic might just come alive.
G-d bless the will to do right, and to try.
Now, the challenge of China is not the first time a superpower is challenged by an upcoming power. There are numerous examples. Egypt and Libya in the classical time. Persia and the Greek. The Romans and the Phoenicians and so on.
So there are many examples to learn from in this actual challenge by the Chinese to the American.
To me, the example that is closest to the current challenge is the example of Rome and Karthage.
Here we had contender (Rome) that organically happened to challenge (Karthage, Phoenicia).
Neither Rome or Karthage wanted to challenge the other, it just happened because Rome happened to grow and Karthage was in the way. So they fought. Epic fights actually as the fights of Hannibal Barca and his war elephants.
It is called “Thycudides trap”, though Thycudides was a greek writing about the Romans, so it is a little off, but never mind, it will suffice.
In the beginning Rome was the underdog. Karthage had been the ruling power for millennia, and took power for granted. They used to be merchants, and hired mercenaries to do their wars. A kind of investment strategy.
What Rome did was all a matter of grit. They build a navy, it sank. Then another navy, it sank. Then they got attacked by Hannibal, he almost sacked Rome. Then another navy. Eventually Scipio Africanus, one of the greatest war heroes of mankind reached Africa, and gave war to Karthage on their own soil.
He met Hannibal Barca at a last desperate fight. The Karthagenians being massed with numerous fighters, the Romans with their grit beat the soft Karthagenians, war elephants or no war elephants.
So what can we learn from this fight?
First of all, it is about cohesion and grit. The Romans did not win because they were the better skilled fighters. Hannibal was an illustrious leader, and an amazing strategist.
No, they won because they had the grit to go on, and on and on and on.
Imagine what will happen if mainland US will be bombed. Will the country fold?
These are the questions you need to ask yourself. What happens if the Chinese, in the course of war manage to reach the shores of the US?
In the beginning of the war between Karthage and Rome, the Karthagenians did not see this coming, but were living peacefully, just as Americans are doing now.
But this peaceful living became their doom, because they were not prepared for Scipio Africanus.
So I have been talking about this for a while, and most Americans can see the problems rising.
But do the US have the grit? And if not, how will a leader prepare his country for the long haul?
The Chinese, unaccustomed to nuclear war, are not backing down. They are carrying on stealing our production and know how. They need to reflect the fact, that what happened to Karthage was complete annihilation.
Carry on with the arrogance, and that may just happen to the Chinese, it has happened before.
I am trying to diverge the flow of events that leads to a massive war. Right now the US can still beat China relatively easy. Do that, and the Great War will be avoided. Do not do that, and imagine Chinese bombers over L.A..
War is a sickening thing, but sometimes it has to be done fast and as effective as possible.
This is, to me, one of those times. Get it over with, fast and effectively, then we can get to peace.
G-d bless the will to learn from history.
Congratulations mr. Trump, well done. I never saw it coming, but making a peace deal with North Korea as just as big a deal as when I did it with Iran.
Same, same. This is my experience with the Iran deal, that you may use with the North Korea deal.
First of all, you need to worry about your allies in the area. When we made the Iran deal, Israel, Saudi Arabia and other allies in the area were really worried. So worried, that mr. Netanyahu used a lot of his political capital on eroding it. As he actually suceeeded with.
So they worry, and you need to easy their worry, especially towards China, that is expanding, and needs to be tackled.
I still opt for an all out war on China, fast and overwhelming before they reach a military capacity we have difficulty to beat.
Secondly, they made the deal, because you or we are strong. That is very good. They used to walk over us, now they actually do what we say.
Make a distinction between enemies and allies here. I support you in many of your claims on military budget, you are right about that. But allies has to be tackled like friends, or business partners. Being too pushy will just push them away.
Thirdly, take a look at the long term strategy. It is as probable as Amen in the Church, that the military push China is doing will become more and more difficult to tackle.
So find every option to kill their business, shore up allies in the region and so on. Isolate them if possible.
Eventually this will end up in a warm war, so we need to be realistic about it, prepare for it.
G-d bless the will to be understanding and sharp on priority.
One very important balance, that we have not done well in the European Union, is the balance between the different nation-states and the former colonies.
Take the UK. The UK has a lot of history with many countries around the world. Chile for one, New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia and so on. The same goes for France, that has a lot of ties to Canada, many small islands in the pacific, many former colonies in Africa and so and so forth.
Europe used to be small countries with a lot of extra power and territory in the colonies.
Now, things have changed, and honestly some of the deeds European countries did around the world were extremely wrong. But we did many things good as well, among them spreading civilisation where there was none before.
The peaceful cooperation and shared commerce should be important not only to the European countries but also many former colonies.
We share history, systems, ideology and way of doing production, and with the renaissance that Europe is currently having, a lot of the former colonies have an option to cling on to that whirlwind of new ideas, new strategies and new options in a peaceful world.
So the European Union needs to find a way to give a lot of freedom to the European countries in their work with the former colonies.
Take Canada, they are leaning towards Europe because mr. Macron has a lot of goodwill in Ottawa. That is good for Europe as such.
How to formalize this is up to discussion, but it is a very important principle we need to find exactly the right balance to make work.
G-d bless the will to be honest and give space to those who are kin of us.
The world is changing down paths I did not forsee. I had planned for a turn around of USA, now it seems, that the true turn around is the EU.
With the latest news from the G7 or whatever it is called, the cards are thrown in the air, and seem to land all in the hands of the EU.
Canada is with EU, Russia, who has Europe as its main trading partner wants to work with us, and so on.
I didn’t see it coming, and the small victory leaves a lot of work to be done, but well done everybody.
Then again, I do not want to see the US weakened. I have worked so many years to strengthen it.
Anyway, the way forward seems pretty clear to me. We need to consolidate, renew, reform and we will end up with a pretty powerful international unit.
G-d bless the will to do good when power floats your way.
Mr. Tommy Robinson, the working class hero of England, has been detained once again due to criticism of the reign of terror certain migrants put the hapless young working girls through.
Seriously, all the man is saying is the truth.
I support mr. Robinson, because telling the truth is what our democratic constitutions are all about.
Curtailing the truth doesn’t belong in a democracy.
G-d bless mr. Robinson, may he be free to tell the truth.
One of the problems of the current EU administration, is the fact, that it does not really know why it is there.
I mean, what is the purpose of the EU?
As the structure decomposes, the motivation for the project becomes less and less apparent.
What we need, among other things, is to discuss why?
Why do we have an EU project.
This is essentially an ethical discussion.
At the core of it, is a question of humanity. Why do we do things for humanity.
According to Aristotle, you can see ethics as a kind of a tree. Each virtue is based on another virtue. It is like logic, each argument is based on another argument.
So if you put virtues into a chain of arguments, there must be an original argument.
The argument that started it all.
According to Aristotle, the virtue that all other virtues rest upon is happiness or joy.
The reason why we have all the other arguments, is because we want to make a happier place for people.
That is the core of the European Union, the litmus test. How does what we do make people more happy.
It is like the continuing discussion on minorities that seems to be the sole focus of the science of humanities that the EU support. How does that make the citizens of Europe happy?
If it doesn’t make them happy, then why do we do it?
See?
The test of all projects of the European Union, should be to test, if they make the European Union a better place with more happiness for the people.
G-d bless the will to think new thoughts for the next millennia.
To make a constitution, in the classical time, great philosophers roamed the known world, gathering knowledge and then designing a system that would ensure the stability of the Polis.
As Lycurgus, who made the constitution that Sparta was built on. He roamed the then down world, and created a closed system that worked for 700 years.
Or Solon who made the Athenian constitution.
In that sense, a political system is the result of the deliberate understanding of political theory of a genius.
So, in order to do things right, we need to learn from the ancients, and make a constitution that reflect the methods they developed.
The true reason why the European Union doesn’t work, is because the constitution is not good enough. The balances of power is too tilted towards a cadre of secret bureaucrats, the ethical basis is too wrought with vice instead of virtue, and the balance between the national level and the federal level is unclear, making a turfwar the effect. Practically holding all the European Nations in a stranglehold of inefficiency.
I am not saying this to criticize, but to point at the problems we need to solve, to make things work.
So how do we do it? Essentially a constitution reflects the citizens. If the citizens are all into freedom, as in the US, the constitution will reflect this. If they are not social cohesion as in Sparta, the constitution reflects this.
So a European Union constitution should reflect the view of the citizens of Europe.
There are several roots to European culture. The Roman, the Viking, the Egyptian, the Classical Greek and the Mesopotamian.
Each culture has influenced European culture to some degree. The Greek has influenced the European culture through philosophy, leading to political systems as the French. The Egyptian has through the hermetic influence of the Medicis in the Italian renaissance given us humanism. The vikings gave us the urge for freedom and the Roman gave is the urge for disciplin and so on.
To make a constitution that will reflect all these cultural traits is not easy, but nevertheless the only way something of a solid structure can be made.
Add to this all the political turmoil we have in Europe already, we have a problem.
To restructure and reform the European Union, I need the support from all people in power.
Only then is the reform possible.
The constitution should have been made in the beginning, not now when everything is falling apart.
Call I a political turnaround of the highest difficulty.
To be honest, there are around 20 – 30 % chance that it will work.
But these are the stakes, so I hope people will support me.
G-d bless the will to do good in a difficult situation.
Concerning the EU progression. I have now found the relevant fund, and will soon try and apply for some funding for the development of a reform of the EU.
I will write the application as a series of essays, that I will publish here at Rubicon, in this way the EU system will get a feeling for the ideas behind the process, and it will ensure that the work has been published already at the very beginning of the project.
Hopefully, if the work gets a grant, I will continue the research, and publish the work as I go, with the aim of making book of essays as the end result.
G-d bless the will to be sharp on this development.
As Europe Change its priorities, we need to ask ourselves; what about the European Union bureaucracy?
As I see it, we need to reform it. So that it is much more flexible, more focused on each country, and work for the betterment of each citizen.
This process is possible, and I can do it. But the problem is, I need ressources, that is money, and the ability to talk to the involved parties to help here.
I have been trying to push this option in the form of a think tank. I have a good friend who has connections.
This is my prerequisite to embark on a reform process.
I will not do it just here from the blog. My advice would be based on too thin knowledge. I need to know the mechanics of the European Union from the inside to come with any serious advise.
We have the possibility to make something that would actually work, but for me. You need to give me acces to the maw of the system.
So, I have been trying to push the idea of a think tank, if this does not succeed, well we have to do without the framework of the European Union or see where it drifts too.
But, to do it right, we need to base these reforms on deep analysis and deep political/philosophical thought.
So, I hope that the leadership of the European Union are open for some kind of work.
I happen to be a nice and very civil person, I think. So I hope these aristocratic traits of humbleness and civility will make it work.
Anyway, please. To be serious about this next phase of European development, we need to able to work together and solve these terrible, terrible problems.
I will help, but you need to let me in.
G-d bless the will to be humane in the face of great upheaval and problems.
Things are changing rapidly in terms of power in Europe.
But let us be a bit realistic about our means and ends.
The great challenge for european powers, has been the influx of migrants. This we have not been able to tackle. So far the only method has been to spread the migrants in the different European nations.
This does not work, and if we look at the trajectory of the development, will not work in the future.
So, we will need to do otherwise to solve the problem.
My idea, along with Australia, has been to repatriate the migrants, as they enter Europe.
First we did it the nice way, by asking the states that these migrants come from, but that has not worked. Most of the countries simply refuse.
So, we need to accept, that we need to use force, to remigrate these new waves of migrants.
Then there is the question, do we have the capabilities to make such a move.
That again comes down to armed forces.
Some countries have these capabilities, others do not.
So there needs to be a vast investment in infrastructure of this kind.
It can be done, but it is difficult. A month ago Mrs. May had a row with the press over this issue. So the press is essentially against.
That means, that we need both a press strategy as well as a military strategy. These two processes has to go hand in hand.
Be honest about it, why we do it, how we do it and so on. Secrecy doesn’t work in a situation like this.
It is difficult, but possible.
G-d bless the will to do things in an honest and humane way.
In Europe, we are used to be unchallenged to our domain of power. That is intellectual prominence, military dominance and level of organization.
That has changed dramatically in the last 60 years. As we have been licking our wound after the second world war, the rest of the world has developed at a rate that we have not seen before.
This creates a situation, where old habits have to die.
Let me give you an example, that really made things clear to me.
Egypt, that is classical Egypt, was unchallenged in power in the first two thousand years of its existence. There was virtually no competition, because the surrounding powers never had the brawn and power to subdue the country of light.
So Egypt could change without too much interference from outside. It changed from Old kingdom to New kingdom, making changes along the way.
The old system went down, because it could not sustain itself, and a new line of kings (pharaohs) took power, making vast changes and modernizations.
But when the Greek grew in power, the Egyptians could see, that the time for upheavals and total destruction of the Egyptian state was not possible anymore.
So they send a pharaoh to teach Alexander the Great, because they could see, that he would be the one to spread Greek dominance in the Mediterranean.
What happened, was, that the area was consolidated into a centreal power.
Today in Europe, and in the world at large, there are several states that vie for the role of Alexander the great, the difference is just, that the known world is not the Mediterranean, but the world as such.
Perhaps China and Russia is fighting for a multipolar world. Thing is, we already have a multipolar world. What is in the cards, is not a shift from unipolar to multipolar, but from multipolar to unipolar.
If the development of power follows the pattern is has followed, the ones who win the latest contest of power, may just end up being the leader of the world.
In this situation, revolution and destruction of Europe, general upheaval is bad.
We need the restructuring of Europe to be according to a plan. Something that will strengthen us, not follow the usual pattern of destruction and rebirth. Because when we destroy ourselves, some other power will seize control of our territories.
THAT is why I wanted to create a soft landing for the EU, so that the european powers, reborn in a vibrant state and fighting stance, could challenge the world on its own premises.
This seems to be coming through. Everybody in Europe are waking up, and seeing the writing on the wall.
IF we can change this dangerous development into an ordered and functioning power structure. We have a chance to regain our independence.
We have a chance right now. But we should be honest about the dangers.
Europe is the least probable to be the dominant world power due to inherent weaknesses of the system.
We are too different to make it work.
We have one thing going for us though, that is our tradition of revolution. That is vibrant, unconventional, brilliant political thinkers.
Let us use that one single advantage to survive in this new race of dominance.
G-d bless the will to be sincere and honest about these challenges.
Both the US and Israel does not have much respect for the European powers.
We deserve that, by being complacent, and believing that we did not have to do anything to keep our power, we have become old, slow and static.
That is not what we are, we are vibrant, we have the best thinkers, the best universities, the most illustrious militaries.
So, essentially this is the time we need to ask ourselves, do we wish to be someone elses toys to push around, or do we take responsibility into our own hands.
The issue right now is the Iran deal. We cannot save it alone, we need Russia and China as well.
It is no secret, that I have been fighting to put China on the agenda in the US, simply because China is a massive threat to US power. It is not a threat to Denmark or Europe in general, but to the US.
A shift of allegiance is not my cup of tea, and so far, I will not do that. But keep pushing the China agenda.
But if the US keeps pushing my country into the corner of the ring, I will fight.
So, we CAN turn our attention to the East. Right now, that makes the most sense, but I think, due to the historic and personal connections we have to the US, that we should not make that shift now.
But it is a sound possibility.
Do not shove us around, you will regret it.
G-d bless the will to take our fate in our own hands.
When I started my “career” or whatever you can call it. It was as a reaction to the mess that the former generation had created of Europe.
I read “The rise and fall of the great Powers” by Kennedy, and I realized, that the EU was the least probable to make it through the next twenty years.
So, instead of trying to fix it, because I had absolutely no ambition or any possible option to do that, I created a movement, that would make the fall of the EU a soft landing.
A Democratic/humanistic conservative philosophy, that would make the fall easy, and give the nations of Europe a way out of the mess.
The fall of a behemoth as the EU is off cause very dangerous for the Nations involved.
But now, ten years after, the situation has moved a bit.
Italy, the First Nation that has taken my ideas seriously in Europe has made history by making a coalition between right and left, and many of my ideas are worked at.
BUT and that is another difference, in the meanwhile, the US has taken my ideas, and proven them to work. The US is not out of the quagmire it was in, but it is clawing its way out. All lights are moving from red to yellow, and hopefully in a few years will turn into green.
That has proven the validity of the ideology, and now back to Europe.
Here the European Union seems to want to be a part of my revolution. Well, to be honest, I never saw it coming. But when we are here, you are welcome.
I never wanted to tear the European Union down, in fact I had the opportunity ten years ago when I was in Bruxelles with SIAD. But to me, destroying what others build without giving a chance to find a new way, that is not humanistic.
Call me soft, but I can see that the European Union WANTS to do good, but is woven into choices made by generations before.
So, as always. I will help.
I am not promising anything. Because to be honest, the situation is out of control, and the basis we are building on is like shifting sand at a cold a storm ridden beach.
But I will help.
G-d bless the will to do good.
Congratulations Italy, with the new government. This is the first time, that a country has had a true philosophical Change since the movement began in Europe. So it will be very interesting to see how we fare, may spirit be with us.
First of all, you have a mountain to climb, and you need common alliance on this point. The remigration.
To be honest, this will be difficult. Not the least because of the logistical problems, but also because the old liberal powers will try to resist.
But, that is the main task, KEEP Rome free from barbarians.
We have tried the nice way already and that works in some countries, in countries like Morocco and Somalia, but we need cooperation from some countries who refuse to take back their citizens although they have no business in Europe and Italy.
You have a powerful army, that will have to be used if necessary.
Make bridgeheads in the countries that refuse to take back their citizens, and send them back.
But be careful to do it in a way, that is as humane as possible.
G-d bless the will to tackle this problem with both force and discipline.
Change is a discipline that is essentially positive. My predecessor Alinskys wanted to make a world where minorities were protected, because that was the problem in his time.
You can discuss whether this was just manipulation and so on, but I believe, that Alinskys tried his best.
When I took over in the Obama era, I realized, that we needed to be a bit more nuanced in several points, one of them Islam, but I still truly believe, that we should be careful with our minorities like Jews, gays and other parts of the society that is in danger.
I also believe, that women who are met with new dangers, especially the sharp end of migrant attacks, as we saw in Cologne a few years back.
So to me, the values are the same, but the reality has changed, so we need to Change with it.
What I like about Ms. Clinton, when she is in her best shape, is her very good heart. There are many who dislike her for this and that reason, but essentially she has a warm heart for children and families.
This is something I believe we can use in Europe as well.
The caring for families and children.
As I see it, we should always see things from the point of the view of children. How do they fare in the world, is the village safe and sound?
So with Change you get a positive outlook, and also an outlook that does not put focus on money.
I do not have much money, and I do not need much money. I write here for free, and so I am uncorrupted.
THAT is what we need in Europe now, that focus on what is truly good for the citizens of Europe.
Put ourselves below and not above. See the needs of needy, and care for those suffering families hit by unemployment or sickness.
Each happy child is one point won in the political process.
G-d bless the will to do good in a savage world.
To make a system that actually work in europe, we need to take the best things of the Obaman Change and redesign it for Europe.
If we look at Europe, we need to accept, that the loyalty to the Nations within Europe will not change. So we need to work with that. Instead of trying to centralize power, we need to find a balance between power on a national level, and power on a federal level.
Who and what is truly important for the Europeans at a national level?
First of all, football. You cannot make a EU football team, it would be awful. We like our Italian azure, Danish red and white, French tricolour and so on.
Secondly military. It will never happen on a federal level.
Thirdly, and this is very important, business.
The reason why European economy is not working, is because the inherent balance between free market and national production is not working.
There is an intimate relation between the Nation and the business life. In Denmark we are good at sailing, so we have Mærsk. In France they are good at making really good cheese and many other wonderful agricultural products, so they make that.
Making products, and developing new products is like good wine, it has to mature and needs tradition to work.
We cannot compete with cheap labour, but we can compete with quality products.
This needs a loyalty between nation and business life, according to Adam Smith.
Having a free market within Europe with a lot of consumers, is however very good.
Fourthly we need to have a clear relationship between citizen and nation. We cannot just move people around, this has created a lot of problems, so we should stop that.
The federal level however will work as a framework of cooperation. So that when we go to war, we can do that together. The armies remain national, but the operations can work on a federal level.
Then we need the central institutions of Bruxelles and Strassbourg to work on the quality of the institutions of human rights, democracy and so on.
Create a powerhouse of inspiration. So that the bureaucracy goes from being tyrants to being servants.
G-d bless the will to be honest and find the right balances of the European Union.
Well it seems to me, that the EU bureaucracy is actually listening to what I prescribe.
Perfect, this will make us able to turn the downfall around. It will be difficult, but not impossible.
First of all, we should consider the difference between the US and the European Union. The difference is in particular the fact, that the nations of Europe are much more different in terms of culture, tradition, language and so on than the US.
So, the obvious conclusion to this problem is to do things differently in Europe than you do in the US.
The individual Nations need much more independence to care for their language, culture, security, law systems and so on and so forth.
In a sense the European Union needs to be much more decentralized than the US.
This does not hinder the collaborative effort to make tools of power together. But the framework should be much more respectful of the differences of each state.
Right now the EU needs some success in the eyes of the European people. The Italian election pretty much carves the work out for the current administration.
1. Security.
2. Remigration.
3. A much looser system og monetary cooperation.
The two first tasks are actually possible for the current administration. It requires a coordinated process where the borders of the Southern European nations are much better protected. It will be pretty easy to require assistance from the navies of the European states, because all states are interested in stopping the flow of migrants.
Making a remigration plan, making camps in Africa, sending the migrants back is also possible if the EU bureaucracy puts its will and ressources behind it. It will be difficult, but feasible.
With this, two initiatives will be good moves to satisfy the European populace.
Concerning the Euro. Well, I do not see any true benefits of it. It has been a boon to Germany, but a huge problem for the Southern European states. Economy on a national level requires flexibility.
Essentially I believe, we need to realize, that economical drive is closely related to the nations. So instead of hindering economic development on a national level, we should support it.
Essentially we need the flexibility of the old European state system back. That flexibility will ensure new ideas and progress in different states. But these new ideas will inspire other states to develop.
Then when it makes sense to make projects on a large scale, we do that.
That will make it work, but we need to remember that what we are truly fighting for in Europe is not the structure of the European Union, but the creation of fresh European values and virtues. Democracy, rule of law and humanism.
G-d bless the will to be honest and flexible about the problems that Europe is in now.
I think, it is pretty obvious, that the current EU system does not work.
The reason why? Because essentially a lot of bankers and rich people initiated the project and has tried to sustain it. It is an elitist project that does not see things from the perspective of the common man.
This creates a lot of resentment, and a feeling that the EU bureaucracy is aloof and extremely distanced to the problems of the people.
In the US it started otherwise, there the people made amendments to the paper that the bureaucracy wrote stressing certain values and virtues that carry the US.
THAT is what is missing in the EU, the amendments.
Why, because if you only have a bureaucracy without heart, people do not like it. A system has to represent the values of everybody. A shining city at the top the hill.
So instead of being angry at the people, why not start listening?
When the Italians say they do not want the Euro, why force them? The project does not lie in the structure, but in the values.
But to represent the values, one needs to understand the values, and do them.
Human rights should be focused on the problems of young women in the EU being raped and harassed. That is THE most pressing problem right now.
So where is Strassbourg on this issue?
I mean, if you want to create a system of common values, you need to stand up for those values.
G-d bless the will to defend the right of women to be free from sexual assault.
To make war, you have to build your armies, and when you make the war, especially with a great enemy as China, you need to hit as hard as you can get.
Carl the Great was very good at winning wars. The mechanical make up of his time was the same as today.
All the great powers paraded their extremely expensive armies around, loath at actually going into war, afraid of loosing their prized expensive armies.
Or as the Roman emperor who lost his armies to the Teutons in the German forest said, he was fishing with a golden hook.
Meaning, that the hook (the army) was expensive, and with that he fished (tried to occupy new territories).
The point is, armies are expensive, so the countries who have them really are loath to use them.
Carl the great however said (he was a philosopher king), that he did the same as everybody else when he had his armies, circled them around and around. But when he needed to, he hit as hard with them as he possibly could. So he won.
The same goes with the American army, it is extremely costly, so we dont use it much.
That is a mistake. In order to win, we need to use it, but then when we do it, we do it on our own premises, with our own aims. Not as the Romans who got lured into the woods, giving the Teutons the extreme advantage of terrain.
See it for yourself, the last valorous Roman soldiers, standing on the top of a hill, sheltering the standard. Repelling wave after wave after wave of Teutons, hailing from the deep woods.
The last braves fell on that hill, we need to make sure, we are not in the same situation.
Because that battle sealed the fate of Rome.
So in times of need. We pick the battle, on our own terms.
THAT is why I propose an alliance of the English Empire, that is UK and Australia, the United States of America and India.
Boxing in China, and then pick the battle on our own terms.
Let us not be complacent in our belief of our own superiority. Let us be honest about the threat.
Let us not fish with a golden hook.
But build armies to fight and defend the Empire and State of the USA.
G-d bless the will to survive.
Well, there are many ways to see ones responsibility as a jew, and how we may administer the power we have.
To be the Chosen means that we are chosen by Hashem, and therefor we are to be like G-d.
But what is G-d? G-d is a state of eternal connection and love. It is this state of connection that we are to support and make stronger.
If we are the cause of strife, we are not doing what G-d wants.
We are to fight, but only those who wish to do evil. The egoistic the selfish, the ones who believe in that they are right to take from other what is not theirs.
That is the single most important task that is given Jews.
HOW we do it is always a discussion.
Concerning the Iran deal. One thing is off cause, that I believe that since I made the deal, I have to stick to it, otherwise my credibility is worth nothing.
But the other is, what about the US. The US is our strong friend, but even though the US is strong, it still has a lot of problems.
We should be our brothers keeper, right?
So, as I see it, if we push the US into a position where it is weakened, we do not administer and do the things we are supposed to do.
We are supposed to bring happiness and harmony, not the other way around.
Dont, get me wrong. If someone threatens us, we fight back, as we have been doing for many thousand years and won. But it has to be RIGHTEOUS.
The ethical base of our fight has to be ok.
Now we have our state, but remember what happened when David got too complacent and rested too much in his power? He took the wife of Uriah, one of his best fighters.
We are at the same place as David was when he took the wife of Uriah. We are powerful, have the best army in the world and so on.
THIS is when we need to think about the task that is ours to do. To be our brothers keeper, and be humble with all this power.
Power corrupts, so we need to be strong in character and think about our friends and those we care about before ourselves.
G-d bless the will to do good, and be our brothers keeper.
Well it seems to me, that the Americans are making all kinds of plans for the Middle East.
The latest announcements of Mr. Pompeo of a fire and fury character is all well and fine. But the fact of the matter is, people are trying to see how the ends meet.
I mean, announcing one day that the Americans are getting out of the Middle East, and the next that they are demanding all kinds of things, doesn’t carry much of a threat. In fact, it has the opposite effect.
I will give you a story, that you may laugh at, but tells one a lot about how we decendants of vikings used to make war, and win.
Once there was a renowned Viking with the name of Bjørn Jernside. Aka Bjørn Ironside.
He wanted, as all Vikings wanted at that time, to go to Rome and plunder it.
So he called on all the ships of the cities for a raid.
With heaving and puffing, they all went to Italy, and saw a magnificent city. A city of soaring towers and a lot of wealth.
Bjørn thought, this is Rome, and contemplated a strategy. What he did was use CUNNING.
He called on the dignitaries of the city, and told them, that he was dead, and asked them if he could perhaps be carried into the city on a funeral parade and be laid to rest.
The no so wise Italians thought it was a petty, and opened the gates to Bjørn and his warriors.
But lo and behold, the cunning Bjørn was not dead, but was feigning, the rascal. He jumped up of the funeral pyre, and started attacking the city, and so did his men.
Victory was his, and “Rome” had fallen. There was only one problem, the city wasn’t Rome, it was a smaller Italian city.
The Vikings had a lot of fun over that story.
But what can we actually learn from it.
First of all, you need to match your level of cunning to that of your adversary.
Take China, they have outcunned us for the last 50 years. The same goes for the Middle East. If you threaten with fire and brimstone, as you at the same time are not willing to invest your resources. Then the level of cunning is too low.
Your enemies will only respect I you, if you have the same level of cunning as they do, or better, a better level of cunning. That was how I beat Ahmadinejad.
Secondly, you need to fight the right city. In other words, you need to be sharp about your priorities.
So, fight China, not Iran.
G-d bless the will to be honest and skillful in the art of war.
Well, to keep ones head above the waters these days economically as well as in terms of military arms, one needs to be sharp.
Let us have a look at the Middle East.
The strategy that I made in the Middle East still seem to hold.
The essence of the strategy was to stop the competition between the US and Russia.
If that was stopped, there was no reason to support the Sunni/shia competition, and here a lot of the fuel for the fighting would stop.
Add to this a genuine striving for peace. The Middle East as it is, is pretty calm.
But, as mr. Trump has so vividly shown, if you take out a card at the bottom of the cardhouse, the whole shebang comes crashing.
At the other hand. I am quite surprised of the tenacity and the willingness of the world to keep the peace accord.
One thing off cause is the geopolitical aims of the European Union, it seeks to further its own independence, but at the end of the day. People do seem to care about it.
Why? Because people do care about peace, and actually making a world where people can strive to fulfill their own spiritual purpose.
We actually do care about the deeper things in life, and the promise of spiritual enlightenment.
At the other end of the world, seen from an American perspective. There is the China/North Korea deal. Essentially the legacy connected to a North Korea deal would not be the same as with the Iran deal. Why? Because everybody would know, that it was a bribe from the Chinese. They figure, if Trump wants peace in North Korea, we can pay him off with that currency, and keep expanding economically as well as militarily.
So, if Mr. Trump takes the bate, he would be seen as a fool. Add to this, he would also seriously hamper the ability of the US to challenge Chinas rise as a superpower.
He would effectively postpone the fight to the next president, giving him or her a much worse hand.
I and Mr. Obama gave Mr. Trump the best possible hand to tackle China, and he is wasting it.
It will be extremely costly in terms of manpower, lives and money when the … hits the fan eventually.
You know, there are always new ideas in the White House, new men who have new priorities. As mr. Bolton. They always fail, or has failed so far.
Me, I am just a poor blogger. I have no career to lose, in fact I do not even have a career. I am just a poor boy trying to help my friends.
So Donald please, couldn’t we just get on with all the challenges that you know is out there, and you need to work on?
Forget about your own look in the history book, and deliver on the grand scale. That is fight China.
G-d bless the will to be clearheaded in a difficult situation.
To marry, is to begin a long journey together. I have been married for quite some time now, and here are my ideas regarding some of that wonderful but often also very difficult part of life.
First of all, one thing we have got all wrong in these liberated times, is equality. After the Marxist’s revolution in 68, women went all crazy about women’s liberation.
Don’t get me wrong, I do support the right of all women not to be the tools of manly desires. At the other hand, what went wrong was the excess of female fight for liberality. Many women were ready to sacrifice their families in order to be free. That is too much.
At the end of the ordeal, we should remember the aim of equality. That is harmony. You seek equality to reach a state of harmony. It is actually a mathematical tool.
So instead of working on each other’s freedom, and worry about the threat of the other putting you down. Seek harmony and equality both of you, and the effect will be harmonious love.
Secondly. A soldier has something that he carries with him, always, and is important to him as well as his family. He carries his honour.
Having honour is paramount to a soldier, but as a father it is equally important. Knowing what is right and wrong for the choices of the family is very Important, to be clear on the virtues and values that one fight and live for, is important also in family life.
Often the pressure and the difficulties challenge your ethics. Crying babies can be much more difficult than dodging bullets.
The fuel of the relationship is love. But love does not come cheap, it is payed with the currency of sacrifice. Being selfish in a relationship doesn’t work. One has to, as in fighting for ones country be ready to sacrifice things that are dear to one. Often it is the choice between career and family life. Choose family, always. It is the most important.
Communication is also extremely important. Often we men are the strong and silent types. That is all well on the battlefield. But when things are difficult, one needs to be able to communicate about the challenges one meet. Talk together, but more importantly, listen.
Then as Empedocles say, at the core of Change lies either love of strife. You can chose which one you want to be.
But I can say this much. England needs a lot of healing.
G-d bless the marriage between his royal highness prince Harry, and his princess Meghan Markle.
So, now mr. Trump is threatening Europe, and especially Germany with repercussions, if Germany do not start investing in military arms.
First of all, I absolutely agree, we should start investing in defense, but we shouldn’t do it because mr. Trump wants it, but because we need it ourselves.
Mr. Trump is not a bully, he is something else. After giving it a lot of thought, I have finally understood his tactics. He is a player, a poker player.
Like that mr. Putin is a martial arts expert, and fight like a martial arts, mr. Trump play like a poker player.
If we look at the content of the threats he is sending our way, there is actually very little he can do. He doesn’t have any friends but us. The military would never attack Europe. So all he can do, is to level some economic pressure on us. A pressure that is like cutting off the blood to his own leg.
We are a part of the American empire, if we want it or not. But we are essentially only a part of it because we have, so far, accepted American leadership. Why? Because we were friends, right?
So looking at the consequences, we should be realistic. Can we afford a reduced acces to the American market? Well yes, but they cannot actually afford loosing us. So my gues is, the sanctions they will or can impose, will only be symbolic.
Symbolic for what, well just a symbol of poker games.
Donald Trump is doing something, that he is very good at. He is bluffing.
But it is really a slap in the face of us here in Europe. We need to wake up, and take control of our own future.
We need to make our systems work, and start protecting ourselves.
We do not have the interest or time to fight the US.
We need to focus on IS and migration.
So, the best you can do if someone is bluffing, is calling it.
Say, ok, you have a hand, show it. What are you actually willing to do?
Then there will be some lame threats about economic sanctions, but hey. That is no problem for us.
So, let us start ignoring all these threats, and start focusing on what is really the matter. Us surviving.
G-d bless the will to survive.
Well, thing have changed again. As it always does.
In the interest of Europe and the rest of the world, let us have a view over the battlefield for dominance.
First of all, new cracks and positions are held WITHIN the US. The army and the liberal part of the political field is not that into the current strategy. They think it is too vague, and do not hold the necessary complexity of thinking in media, future political positions, power development over ten years, development of armament, the strategy of our enemies and friends into the plan.
Essentially Trump seems to go for the short term decisions. Dumping the Iran deal may have some benefits short term; the admiration and happiness of the Jewish people, which I share. But on the long term, the loss of influence in the region and the wedge made between the US and its European allies and the loss of focus against the real enemy is a problem.
At the other side, Mr. Trump seems so intent on closing the deal with North Korea that he forgets that the real enemy is China.
Peace with North Korea is fine, but if it gives China free room and space to develop its own forces and gain in production, then the deal is huge danger to the American way.
To me, the main issue here is focus. If you want to have success in a market, you need to focus your bets. Look at the long game, and sometimes sacrifice an easy win to gain victory long term.
Europe seems to be a bit split over the Iran deal. The EU bureaucracy is very much for it, Germany also. But France and the UK are a bit more lukewarm.
To me, that is how it will always be with more powers jockeying for dominance.
It gives Germany a serious chance to win the internal powergame of leading the military that the EU is trying to coordinate.
At the end of the day, it will take time to rebuild the armies of Europe, but we should be serious about what we need these armies for.
We need them, at the moment, to fight the IS insurgency that is in Europe. Also the development of a huge minority problem with hordes of unemployed migrants and descendants of migrants poses a serious problem, that needs to be tackled with the adequate security measures.
But lets see, maybe we can find the tune again. We need to cooperate, but we here in Europe need to be able to handle our owns problems. Invest in security and be honest about the massive problems that migration poses to the security of Europe in general.
G-d bless the will to be honest about these things.
So, now we are to control or try to control the downfall of the transatlantic alliance.
The US is not a behemoth anymore in terms of production output. It can still kick some …, but just beyond the two ponds, there are two very strong contenders. One is China, the other one is not the league of European Nations. That is France, Germany and the UK.
So far, Europe has been pretty lame, and not been that serious about its own security. That has changed dramatically due to two factors. 1. The US is not sticking to its promise of protecting Europe. 2. The migrant crisis is getting out of hand.
At the other side of the US, we have a contender who is rapidly gaining material wealth, that it wants to change into dominance.
Sticking with its friends seems to be the most wise decision in this difficult situation, that was my plan in the Obama era political time.
I wanted to focus IS, because that was and is the combined threat to the US AND Europe. We would have fought that menace together. In fact we did fight together. This at the other hand strengthened the hand against China a united Europe/US would easily fight down a rebellious China.
Now the US cannot rest assured that its European friends will help anymore, because of the slight Mr. Bolton gave to Europe after the Iran deal was scrapped.
So, short term its disastrous. Long term however it might just work out anyway. We here in Europe will off cause be friends with the US. We share values, history and tech.
But now it seems we are going on our own direction, developing our own security systems, and making alliances that is not in the interest of the US.
The good thing about that, is the fact that we here in Europe finally take some responsibility for our own security, and in five years, we will have a tough and serious defense. Yes, there are a lot of hoops and challenges we have to jump through and tackle. But we will get there.
Meanwhile the US will be on its own confronting China, and that weakened hand will soon be apparent.
China will not be so humble anymore. But more confident.
It all depends on the leadership of the US. We will see, but currently, it is all disaster.
G-d bless the will to be honest about these things, and do something about it.
Congratulations Israel with the 70’th birthday. A cause to celebrate, a place to call home in a hostile world.
There is no secret in the fact, that I was not that crazy about the dumping of the Iran deal. But the fact that the US moved its embassy to Jerusalem signifies the fact, that Jerusalem is the birthplace of Israel, and it is in the hands of Jews.
You can say much, but Trump is not the best of diplomats in the classical sense. That is doing all the kow towing of political compromise. But is a classical western man, fighting for his place in the sun, with the means he has.
Don’t get me wrong, I like that, I do it myself.
The problem however right now, is that I made a deal with Iran. So if I do not defend it, then my credibility is gone. I have to stick with the deals I make, or I will be seen as unserious.
So by forcing my hand, Trump has essentially forced the rest of the world to chose between my leadership or his own. It’s not that I believe that Trump wants to do that, that is just the effect of rejecting the Iran deal. Mr. Bolton does not see the historical picture, and how Obama and I made the deal because we fought down Ahmadinejad. He is new to the game.
I do not seek a confrontation with Mr. Trump, but I do want to keep focus on the issues i believe are the most important. Right now, that is the fight against IS. IS has just knifed down civilians in France, they are building a huge weapon of mass destruction towards Europe by destabilizing Middle African countries. THAT is a problem.
Iran seeks to further its power in the Middle East, all the powers in the Middle East seek to do that. I prefer peace, but the power game is the power game. We all play it. Right now, Iran has succes.
When Israel attacks Iran, Iran retaliates by proxy.
It’s just that, Iran is currently not a world menace. Ahmadinejad was, he sponsored different bad guy states around the world. Iran does not, it plays the Middle East power game, to the best of its ability.
So, I believe, that the rest of the world should just go on with the problems we face with IS.
G-d bless the will to be clear on our priorities.
CONGRATULATIONS Israel with the win in the European song contest. Well done, good song, and good performance, you make us proud.
Winning the European song contest is not only a show of artistry, it is also a very POLITICAL venue.
Here Europe and Europeans come together to have a good time, show each our strengths and just come together in a positive mood.
That Israel is heading and winning, is a clear sign from Europe, that Europe is on the side of Israel.
You could even see some Magen Davids flown, without fear.
That is a bit of a turnaround from the Second world war, Madame Blavatsky, Aryans, race theory and so on and so forth.
With the current shift in geostrategic power, this signs is very important I believe. It shows, that the elite is on Israels side, and all the terrible occurrences of antisemitic violence, is not the elites cup of tea.
In fact, I believe, that this is the time Europe must show, that we have learned from the second world war and the the persecution of Jews.
Will we accept that Jews cannot live in France or Denmark or Germany anymore, or are we going to do something about it?
We know very well who are behind all these attacks. Mostly people from Africa or the Middle East.
Do the math, more migration equals more antisemitism. Not all migrants are antisemitic. But the fact of the matter is, that many are, and the violence they are ready to do is not what we are used to here in Europe.
Draw the conclusion. Many migrants do not share european values.
We have a huge problem with antisemitism, anti humanism, antidemocratism. What more do we need to kick us out of the lethargy and inaction? What more? What else that is cherished as basic human rights and european virtue are we to sacrifice to pander to these barbarians?
Not all are barbarians, but many are, and we need to stand up to those who kill our journalists and the Jews.
G-d bless the will to stand up for what is right and true.
Often in the Middle East, peace is not an option, but just a break from more hostilities.
That has been the rule since mankind made its first city, the city of Eridu (Eden) in Irak.
But, that is not an argument for not trying. The entirety of religion has the aim of trying to find that peace. Why? Because that is what we are supposed to do to emulate the world of G-d, heaven.
We Jews have had a bad experience with making peace, I admit it. In fact, I agree with mr. Netanyahu with the Oslo peace process, it was a sham. Why? Because essentially the “Palestinians” have no incentive for peace. The more trouble they make, the more money the make. So, there is no reason for peace.
Also, the character of the people in Gaza is terrible. We have them here in Denmark, and they are at the top of crime statistics. These people are extremely unsympathetic.
But just because peace was not a possibility with Gaza, there are other times when peace has been a possibility. I work with the experience my family has. My great, great, great grandfather made peace with the Danes two hundred years ago.
After a lot of trouble Mendel Levin Nathanson, a leading Jew of his time, made a deal with the king, effectively making peace between the Danes and the Jews. There has been peace ever since.
How did this come by? It worked, because the leader of the Jews, my ancestor, was eloquent, trustworthy and truly a serious and good person.
He was also loyal to the Danish state, he gave a lot.
But, and that is really the true reason why it worked in Denmark. The Danish people is a good people. It has a beautiful character. Honest, serious and good.
THAT is why I believe that the Iran peace deal has held so far. Because the Palestinians are not good people, but the Iranians are good people.
Yes, we have been enemies, and in a sense we still are. But I do recognize, that the Iranian people are essentially a positive, noble people. Epitomized in the hero of Iran; Cyrus.
So the key to peace, is to understand the one you are dealing with, and make appropriate action according to their character.
It is not that we should not defend ourselves. I am defending Jews where I can. A Jew has never come to me, and not found help if he is in trouble. I am fighting for the Jews in Europe. One of the reasons I am fighting so much for remigration, is because the current influx of people to Europe are the worst antisemites that are in the Middle East, and that gives Jews a huge problem.
I am defending Jews if it is necessary.
But we must remember, that the aim is not eternal fighting, the aim is peace. We only fight if we have to. If we are not attacked, we should not fight them.
Peace is a difficult thing to find. Essentially you only find peace if you stand at a position of strength. You have to be strong to find peace with others. And you have to be ready to defend yourself. As with all the empires who have fought us and lost.
But, we should find peace wherever possible.
G-d bless the will to find peace.
Well, we have to face it. We have lost the Americans strategically. We are essentially left to our own means in and around Europe.
I know that Mr. Trump believes that harrasing his persons of interest into submission will work with both Iran AND Europe.
But seriously. There is a bit of difference between a small weak player in Asia and then the other hegemon across the pond.
We are not weak, we are just not interested in fighting that much.
But we can effectively just ignore the threats, and then carry on. What can the US do?
So, instead of using so much energy on a hapless idiocy, we should continue with the strategy.
Lets recap.
We targeted Islamic State in the Middle East because they were effectively a neutral target out of the game between Sunni and Shia. This gave the hard core islamists a place to be, and kept our allies out of the fire. We still need to tackle the radical islamists.
IS is, more or less, finished in the Middle East, but are still active around the world, not at least in the African states, where they seek to make a weapon of mass destruction to Europe.
Migration has become a weapon.
We cannot afford anymore migration, and we need to remigrate 70 – 80 percent of the migrants that is in Europe already. These being either criminal or islamists.
This is not about racism, but about a threat to national security.
This strategy is supported by all major powers around the world. We can reach Russia and all the powers of the Middle East. Except for Turkey and Quatar, supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood.
Concerning Iran, well, we made a deal, we have invested. The Americans threaten us. Instead of pandering and accepting these lame and hollow threats. Let us just ignore them, and keep supporting the Iranians.
There are all the wars going on in the Middle East, and the threat from the Saudi/Israeli alliance. Essentially we are not picking sides. We just want to make peace, especially concerning nuclear armament. Because that will spiral the situation out of control.
Both sides know this, and that is why they essentially respect the peace deal. No-one wins if the wars turn into nuclear apocalypse.
Its like using triangle knives or nervegas. They are forbidden by international law for a reason, they are simply too cruel weapons. Everybody accepts that soldiers honor, because there is honor also to war.
So, let us carry on with our own interests. Prop up Rouhani, who really needs us, and focus on IS.
G-d bless the will to be fair in war.
