Israel

I suppose progress is two steps forward and one backwards. A few months ago everything just seemed rosy, and world peace was actually at hand, or rather, after the shift of American push policy towards the palestinians and the israeli, things have turned for the worse. Well I suppose the Ukraine conflict is also a spoke in the wheel. Russia is down in positive ratings, now Israel is down in ratings. Luckily the Vatican state is still running high, as well as the US.

Anyway, this calls for reflection, are we really heading for another cold war scenario? Or are these things just bumps on the road?

First of all, if we look at the political alignment, that defines who are really enemies, the alignment does not call for another cold war. Russia is not anymore the communist behemoth, but is actually trying to find its own roots, and rekindle its glory. So the antagonism does not dig that deep.

If we look at the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, it has changed in character, this conflict used to be a proxy war between the West and East. But as we speak, it is truly just a local war, but it has tremendous and devastating potential.

The new antagonism is between the world and what I have defined as islamism. Or rather it is between a renaissance Islam and the rest of the word. Islamist truly believe that Islam will rule the world.

This is only a part of Islam, and does not include all of the Muslim world. Recently the major Muslim states have drawn away from it, and that was actually the basic crux around which the first part of Mr. Barack Obamas presidency revolved. We tried to push back the radical version of Islam, and actually did it by pushing back Ahmadinejad, and supporting Mr. Al-Sisi. This gave a whole new positive progression within the Muslim world, and actually hope for progress both spiritual as well as materially.

There is only one ager dabei; the islamists are still here, and obviously they are not just going away.

Compromise

In Ukraine we are putting pressure on the wrong parties. In the west we try to put pressure of Putin, and on the east we are trying to put pressure on the Ukraine government, and as Ukraine is supported mainly by EU and the US, the pressure is basically put on they west.

The fight is absolutely meaningless, and the pressure will not go anywhere. No one wants to start a Third World War now when people have started thinking, so the obvious conclusion is not to put pressure for this to happen, but to put pressure on our allies for them to go to the negotiation table.

The US needs to realize, that the Second World War and First World War is still so much in the imaginations of Europeans, that we will simply not enter another war. So we cannot be persuaded to pressure Putin. It will not happen.

The conflict will continue to exist until either one side has won, or a comprise is found.

Why not try the compromise? Is this not what peacemaking is about?

Through dialogue, find a way to solve the problems?

At least, this would be an ethical path to pursue.

G-d bless the will to find a way.

Peace

If we look at the broad picture of the Middle East right now, there are tremendous work for the peacemakers, and some of the less enlightened keep on wrangling with their destiny in the material world. The gates of paradise are closing in on them as each minute goes. Lifes are thrown away without any sense, and the mechanics of tit for tat is ripe with bounty.

But, behind the scenes true missionaries for peace awaits. In general all who truly believe in Abraham and his descendants heed his ideas and work with diligence for peace. The makings of a new era is abound, and we will seize this opportunity with or without the help of the leaders of specific countries.

It is all about diplomacy. Some say that the pen is weaker than the sword, some say that the pen is stronger than the sword, but it will come to a realization some day.

We will continue the dream of Abraham and Moses, we will not accept the luring of the material world, and we will realize the advent of religion.

There are good things happening, and bad things, but it all comes to will of spirit, are we on his side, or are we against him? Do we think too much on our own needs or do we share and realize the unbound feeling of connection.

I do realize, that we have to protect ourselves against the warriors of darkness, but to what extent, to the extent that it just does not make any sense, especially if there are more wise paths to chose.

The reign of G-d cannot be stopped now, this is my feeling, no matter how much the leaders try to fight it.

This is just a dream, but that dream has a hold in many people of different religion, so that one day man will live in peace, without the need to destroy each other.

One day, mankind will unite as one, and shed the need to war and destroy, and if we realize that dream, we are truly the heirs to Adam, and not to Eve.

G-d bless the will to see clearly in this terrible, destructive situation.

Strategy

To counter the threat of Hamas, we need to have a strategy. Without a strategy, there will be no victory, with a well devised strategy, we will win.

Let us try to recap the current situation, and discuss the strategic advantages and disadvantages of the situation.

The current strategy of invasion and destruction of tunnels and so on is basically what you in Clausewitz terms would call a French Revolution scenario. Napoleon used fear to subdue his opponents, and he won his wars in that way.

So again, we are talking psychology, and use of fear tactics. In order for this to work, it really has to be scary, and target the most vulnerable parts of the enemy.

Are we doing that? No, we are going after specific tunnel openings and trying to find a way to infiltrate Gaza. Ok, seen from a strictly operational perspective this may make some sense, but as a strategy, it is totally stupid. Either you use fear tactics to your advantage, or you do not. Right now we are doing something in the middle. It will not work.

If we look at the past, this is EXACTLY the lesson we can learn, in the war with Hezbollah and other past wars with Hamas or the PLO, we have focused on the material game, having not the slightest clue about the psychological game, and as a very natural consequence we lost. Maybe not in the ground game, but the image or perception of Israel was dragged through the mud over and over again. So we lost the psychological game.

I have supported Israel staunchly for some time now, and consequently the victories I have had, as the initiation of the peace talks with Iran, the rise of Sisi is rightfully put at the feet of Israel. So Israel has dragged itself up from the very deep hole it has dug for itself in the conflicts with the Palestinians.

Well, you can go on digging deep holes for Israel, or you might discuss the idea of changing tactics.

So, I advised a precise hard hitting strategy that involved only the IAF and the clandestine operations. Why? Well first of all, because it will put Hamas at a serious disadvantage. They need the pictures to win the psychological war. But if they never know when or where we hit, they cannot construct all the killings of their own children.

The strategy has been used to a great efficiency by Obama for some time. The constant search for leaders of Taliban and other Islamist insurgents has really payed off.

So what are the reflections? First of all tech has always been the edge of western culture. First it was the Viking vessels, then the cannons, then the machine gun, then the flying fighter bomber.

So to use this advantage, we need to use the newest tech. The newest tech are the robots. This does not include no action by shin bet, on contrary, it should be used as a complementary to shin bet.

But the good thing about using spooks combined with high tech precision targeting, is the fact, that the media will not be feeded with pictures.

Then there is another reflection. When Alexander the Great beat Darius the Persian prince, he did it with 44 thousand grunts against 3 hundred thousand enemy fighters, or even more.

How did he do that? By using the weaknesses of the enemy against themselves. As Hamas, the Persians were a motley crue of soldiers gathered at the occasion. I was only held together through a strong dictation by the prince. This was acknowledged by Alexander, so he went for the prince, and routed him. When the prince was routed, the army fell to pieces.

Ukraine

The situation in Ukraine is slowly turning ugly again. Please do not do the same mistake as Israel have just been done, and rush into another senseless fight. Why do we fight? Is it to win? To gain territory? To entrust the public with a sense of justice of security? There is no winning scenario in Ukraine. If the fighting continues, it will just lead to more misery and reduce the peace of the world.

We therefor need to start the talking, Ukraine needs to crawl down from its ultimate demands, and initiate the discussion about a solution.

If we just continue on this course, well there will be nothing more to fight over because people will be dead or the land you are fighting over will be desolate.

Start discussing the endgame, what is it you want. Just revenging will not lead to any solution, and remember you are all Slavs, so why do you fight?

G-d bless a peaceful solution.

Strategy

Ok, to understand the current strategical situation, please let me explain some of the basics of what I have been teaching over the last five years and has changed the basics of warfare.

Soviet strategy was far beyond western warfare. Despite being seriously outnumbered and extremely weak when it came to economics, Russia, and the soviets in general managed to conduct at very, very efficient war against the west. Something we still have not totally recovered from.

What did they do? They used, unscrupulously, the new science of psychology. When they wanted to turn a country, a set of very precisely defined stages was conducted. First they used the cultural and political life to demoralize the target. Think the anti atomic bomb movement for instance, what was that good for. The soviets of cause.

Then they infiltrated media in a very cunning way, used communist and socialist groups to demoralize the target country, by assigning them specific tasks, and supporting any movements that was in their favor.

One of the great successes of the Soviet Union was to garner a tremendous in country resistance against the Vietnam war. So spooks in the US worked against their own countries. Thereby giving the Vietnamese an easy victory. They fought very well, but had it not been for the psychological mind games KGB played with the American public, they would have lost.

So, this is the point, it is all about mind games for the soviets.

Enter Hamas, who were very well tought by KGB, they used to be an asset of KGB, and there you have it. Another pawn playing mind games.

Strategy

If we do not control the onslaught of IDF, we will be at the rear position. Hamas will only need one good picture, and the entire war effort will be theirs. To really beat an enemy, you need to understand how they think. Hamas are Cold War fighters. They fight in soviet style. That is manipulation with media, trying to demoralize the enemy. So if Israel just see it as a territorial war with aim to reduce the fighting power of Hamas, we are only looking at a small part of the scheme.

It is all about media.

Add to this the fact that Hamas power is not solely embedded in Gaza, fighting them only there will not really help. We need to see it in a much broader perspective.

As the situation stands, it is like this. The Arabs are tired of Hamas, they wish for peace and process. The wise Persians wish for peace, and the peace process to succeed, so much is invested. Then there is the Americans, the Russians, all the churches and not to mention me.

So the entire system is ready for peace, and this is the problem for Hamas and for Isil. They need chaos.

In the past Israel was stopped in its progress, why. Because of lack of luck in the fight in the media.

So we need to keep an eye on that fight. If we get just one bad picture it is over. And look at it this way. If we win the battle in the media, the Arabs will stop funding Hamas, and the. They are gone!

Without too much bloodshed we can stop Hamas. But if we get involved I the tit for tat revenge system, we loose all the progress we ha e made. It took us years to get this far, and everything is balancing on the very, very sharp edge of a knife. Be careful, and please instead of just using the might of your arm, use that sling of David. Because only with the sling can we win.

G-d bless the beautiful dream of Yesrael.

Israel

What will happen is, more or less like this;  after a few days with rising civilian casualties, the positive support for Israel that we did make after we commenced a careful bombs only campaign will falter. It will take two to three days. What will be the determining factor will be the amounts of civilian casualties. So the Palestinians will do everything they can to photoshop, put a horde of small girls in front of us and so on. Eventually they will get their picture, and it will turn the tide.

Remember it is about the moral high ground. We are supposed to hold that.

If and when that happens. We will lose. If we lose, it will be a major setback for the entire effort against Islamism. I will also lead to demoralization, the shame of the current presidency, and a weaker voice for the lightbringers.

If we pull out after a few scores, it will show that we can show restraint. This will give us the necessary time to rebuilt the confidence lost in the current ground offensive.

It is a contest on ethics, and when we lose the moral high ground, we lose the ground game.

The material world is like this; it will call its siren song to us, and if we heed it, we will be sucked into the maw. Right now it is sucking us in, and if we do not pull out, we will be lost in it for a long, long time. We have to stay afloat, and be sharp on this otherwise we will not reach our destination.

G-d bless the will to be patient.

Israel

I see that IDF have entered Gaza. That is a huge mistake. Hamas looks for only one thing. What they call a “victory picture”. That is a picture where some Israeli can be depicted as a tyrant. Preferably something involving a small girl.

With all the troops on ground, this possibility has just risen tremendously. If we do not pull the troops back, we will loose, because they will get their picture.

So this is my advice, stay calm. Be careful, do not rush, otherwise we will lose.

G-d bless the will of the patient.

Sailing

I am a sailor. Not one of those ancient sailors, who roamed the sevens seas with death and glory as their followers, but just a normal seaman with a small vessel. We do a little competition in it, and then we go on summer holiday, me and the smallish family.

Yesterday was a very cool, but rough day. I ventured over a small strait called Kattegat, and in my 23 footer, it was a bit of a rough ride with waves as tall as my eyesight, and a bit bobbing up and dawn. It made me think though.

When you sail, especially in a small boat, and the riding is rough, you feel the wrath of nature. If you happen to fall over the boat, and that is pretty much an option, you will die a slow death of cooling down.

So you sit there with your life in your own hands, and if you do not control your boat, you will die.

This is a lesson that has been lost on us after we left the boats. The wrath of the ocean, the smallishness of our being. It brings a certain humility to be cast from here to there, and you start to feel the pain in your arm from tearing at the steering wheel over and over again, as you surf up and down the waves.

When you are out there on the sea, you really long for home. But to get there you have to be patient. There are no easy fixes, no fast tracking, no cheating. You have to look at your gear, and just get on with it.

Ukraine

I am really sorry about the situation in Ukraine. The Ukrainian army seems to have grown absolutely callous and unrealistic on their power. The only reason why Putin has not fought them down, is because he is responsible as a world power. It is extremely painful for the Russian patriots to see their brethren suffering as they do.

Again, let us be reasonable, let he peacetalks start, do not just use your might, but be honest towards your goals.

I really advice the Americans to look at Russia, and see their actions for what they are; responsible, honest and worthy a true world power.

Putin can be reasoned with and talked with, please do that, he is a good man, and can be dealt with on a good basis.

G-d bless the wise and the true.

Negotiation

We are entering another phase of the ongoing feud with the so called Palestinians. First they thought they had us, and could use the normal methods of attack and then manipulate the media to their advantage.

Not this time, the world is different, and their ideology is not that popular anymore. The shift from socialism to Islamism is not that wise, if you want to keep the sympathy of the world.

So Egypt proposed a truce, that was not met, and now Hamas is trying a new negotiation on better terms for Hamas.

Well there is one aber dabei. The leverage Hamas used to have has diminished considerably, and therefor the terms should reflect this.

Be real, if Hamas want a truce, well ok, we can have that, but it should at least be a truce that reflect the situation.

Secondly, I would advise Israel to take it easy. The negation situation is to our advantage, and we do not therefor need to haste.

The end result should be a truce that will, truly give peace, not just some temporary stop in the fighting. So to be realistic, this would include some kind of termination of the power of Hamas. It can either be done by eliminating their infrastructure, or it can be done by making a deal.

But the wise waits for the right result. Do not shake on the hand, and acts with providence at exactly the right time.

G-d bless those who are wise and patient.

World cup

Bastian-Schweinste_2220414bI remember reading Hegel. Hegel is the predecessor of the current socialist paradigm, that practically rules the world. (Marx saw himself as a follower and a rebel towards Hegel). Hegel has this one little piece of light that shone through one of his books. He said that G-d would open the gates of heaven and a beam of light would descend upon the nation of Germany. Well, after a long walk in the dark, finally this beam has once again illuminated Germany. Lost in the dark after the second world war, antisemitism, the abuse of all that was German in way by Hitler. Then through a long walk after the war, and now, with all the traditional values it has won the world cup.

Germany is a mix of Danish culture, Christian/Jewish culture and Roman culture. The discipline setup by the Romans, is mixed with the positive Christian culture, and then as a final ingredient the warrior culture of Denmark is the basis.

You could see this in the field. The discipled manschaft was never broken and rarely under true pressure. The team worked as a team, and really seem to like each other. But finally, the krieger, Bastian Schweinsteiger, arose and straight-backed and mighty, defended the colors of his tribe.

At the other hand, Argentina was extremely good, but at a day where the individual does not live up to his full potential it all flounders. At the other hand, it was well fought by the glorious Argentinians, and may they arise again with their pride intact.

Finally, I believe that Brazil will acknowledge after the world cup, that being a host is not about winning, it is the opposite, it is about being a good host. Showing the qualities of a country. Brazil has done exactly that. Given the world the feeling of a football crazy nation, supporting the all the guests with warmth and actually precision and order. This calls for an international appraise.

G-d bless you all, will you all prosper in the light of the maker.

Strategy

imageWe are entering a more peaceful phase of the war between Israel and Hamas. In the ancient times when Israel was first ejected and stood tall, there were numerous wars with the surrounding tribes and empires. When Israel was at its greatest under David, it understood and fought the wars to its benefit. This was a commandment that came directly from Moses, who dreamed of a monotheistic nation, under the rule of G-d. This initiation of monotheism, is therefor not all liberal, but somewhere in between, because David and Moses were also great believers in justice and love.

To really connect to the spirit of Israel as it stood the first time, we need to find that balance between at one hand defense of Israel and all it’s values, and at the other hand a firm understanding of justice and love in warfare.

David defeated Goliath, and I believe we all see the beauty in that, why? Because it underscores a basic paradigm of Davidian prowess. He was at his best when he was fighting against innumerable odds. Why? Because there is absolutely nothing wrong in fighting against a supreme enemy who wants to defeat you with his might. It forced David to use skill and intelligence. The same he did when he was excommunicated into the desert and came back to Israel with a motley crue of fighters and won the day for Israel again.

So what are the teaching of this? First of all, David fought not with superior numbers he fought with courage and skill. He sought the solution that would use his superior skill (using a sling at close range to hit an eye is almost impossible). He fought with audacity, not worrying too much about his own safety.

Assyria

imageOne of the very overlooked tradegies of the current development of the Isil held parts of Syria, is the destruction of ancient relics. So far Isil have only destroyed Iranian holy sites, and not the older and, to the east and west, more significant objects.

Think about it as the birth cradle of democracy, religion, natural science, rule of law, writing in fact most of what we today see as the foundation of our own culture. It was invented here. First in the town of Eridu (Eden in the bible) and then Ur and Babylon.

The rule of law for example was invented in its modern form by the king Hammurabi of Babylon.

Will Isil respect these relics, that are, by all means also a part of their own history, or will they destroy it.

If they do, we are even more compelled to stop them. It would simply but an outrage, and a loss for all of humanity in the future.

G-d bless the protection of ancient culture.

Scandinavia

imageWhen people look upon Scandinavia, they are perhaps in two minds. Who are the Scandinavians really supporting; the free democratic world, or the caliphatists of the Muslim brotherhood and al-Queda?

Well to answer that question one has to understand the history of the said countries to see the history in a modern context.

Scandinavia is not filled with secular peaceful democracies, on the contrary it is filled with very tyrannical governments who use their powers in a manner not suited for democracy.

One of the basic rules of a democracy is the rule of not using propaganda on the constituency. Ideally the citizens will in a free rational, democratic dialogue reach a conclusion on a given subject.

All of the Scandinavian states use white ops, grey ops and even black ops sometimes.

The discussion is steered over to subjects that will not harm the central powers, and if there is a threat to the central power, it will use media to defame and ostracize the given person. All in all a classical socialist dictatorship. Not as violent as the soviet under Stalin. But with the same methods.

Strategy

Now, the bombs are raining down on both Palestinians and Israelies. Both are we trapped in our own self understanding. We as Israelies should defend ourselves, and always stay calm and focused on our path. But we should never succumb to the level of idiocy that is defined by seeing our enemies as evil.

There is evil, but not always as we think it is. Evil is egoism and selfishness. This is not the case with the Palestinians, they are quite sacrificing, their goals are just different, and we are just a tool they use to obtain their goals. They hate us, but they hate us, because it brings them allies and resources. You could say it is a kind of professional hate. Something all other antisemites can hook onto.

But basically they are dreaming their dreams too, and their dreams are getting further and further away. This is why they are so desperate. They dream of the eternal caliphate, and are revolutionaries. But their dream is bursting. Their plot is seen through, and they are getting desperate.

Strategy

Now the war in Israel has changed character. In the beginning it was basically just an uprising, although a very well planned uprising. It has now turned into a war.

When Barack and I fought the war in Libya, we did it to counter some of the strategies that Gadaffi made, and had learned from the Palestinians. Here is how we won.

First of all, the Palestinian see warfare in a much more modern optics than we do. They have recognized, that the main battle is not on ground but in the media. You win or lose your wars in media. So the media has to be the central part of your strategies from the beginning.

The palestinians have taken it to it a extremes by sacrificing women and children to make good pictures. This is smart, but only smart as long as the media do not realize the plot. Not to mention that using women and children is, ethically, extremely gruesome.

With the advent of the internet, this strategy was weakened, because the world has become much more transparent. Gadaffi made a kind of a theatre, but nobody fell for the plot, because it was too obvious that it was just smoke and mirrors.

Protection

imageWell a lot of my friends who are really fighting for peace are very disappointed about the developments lately. They believe that the fight was in vain, and now we are just reduced to the eternal wheel of action and reaction. Revenge calls for revenge and this goes on in an endless circle.

Well, first of all. Peace is not won just by dialogue. Dialogue is the first and foremost principle, but if your opponent refuses to listen and is stubborn in his attack on you, you end up in war. That is just the way it is.

When we come to that phase of a conflict, either you reduce or you increase the fighting. Again if your opponent is not interested in defusing the fight, you cannot help but respond to his or her actions.

The point is, it is not about action or reaction, it is about the mindset of the fighters. If just one of the actors are not interested in peace, there will never be peace.

With the Muslim brotherhood/Al Queda/Isil, they have been living in a dream world for too long to be realistic about their prowess. They are seriously believing that their dream of spreading Islam to the entire world will succeed. This is absolutely absurd, as events have showed us lately. Now they have a piece of land in Iraq, and that is what they will remain with for a long time. But they will continue the barrage and the fight. It is delusional.

Israel

Israel is in the line of fire. So far we had a terrible but prolific start. Then we had a huge downfall, and now we are slowly climbing up of the hole again.

It is about the moral high ground when we fight. Who are doing things most ethically. We cannot just fall over, because we need to protect Israel, and we cannot just go crazy and bomb all of Gaza. We have to take it one action at a time, slowly diminishing the war power of Hamas, and ultimately relieve all of Gaza from enemies.

It will be an agonizing process, but it will end in a much more stable Israel, without any enemies lurking at our doorsteps.

We just have to be patient.

G-d bless Israel.

Football

Germany won an astounding victory over Brazil. Being a fan of both countries, I like Germany; Hamburg, Coburg, Berlin, I like Brazil; Salvador, Rio, Fortaleza, I really find the win both amazing and cynical.

First of all, Europe is back. Football reflects the national strength in terms of organization, morale and spirit. With Germany and Holland reaching the semifinales and now the finale, the mood of the countries are good. As well as the organizations.

This spells for change in Europe, and we will see, but to my mind, it will be a change for the better.

At at the other hand, beating Brazil so much was cruel. It was not necessary. It reveals another side of European mood, the relentless pounding of enemies. It has happened since Europe was invaded by Danes four thousand years ago, Celts felt it, the Americas felt it, the world felt it under the rule of the empires.

This relentless action will be the downfall of the Islamists. They deserve it by all means, but there is no quarter given to them, or will be. It will be a truly devastating scene.

The ancient people

imageI have had a long story of digging into the maw of the Middle East, reading about the Hittities, the ancient Egyptians, the long walk of the Jews, the nascent Persia and the courageous bedouins. There are still some remnants of this ancient world. People long forgotten by the world, living on the edges, still holding on to ancient lore and an identity that brought us what we today call civilization. We recall Babylon, Ur, the birth city of Abraham. Some even know that ancient Christian and Jewish scrolls were written in Aramaic. The thing is, these ancient peoples still exist, and we even work together with them. As the Assyrians and the Armenians.

Today they are Christian, but originally they were inventors of the law and democracy. They invented what we today see as our own ideas.

Now, they are in harms way. Because we conquered Iraq and allied ourselves with them. First the British then the American. After the British left, a genocide was conducted. They payed a heavy price for the collaboration they did with us. Now the situation is the same, or worse because the new master is Isil. A caliphate on a vengeance.

Strategy

Now, we have made a huge loss in Iraq. A state that we thought, unwisely we see know, that we could turn into a well governed state. We should have been much more clear on our priorities and now we pay for our faults.

But, if you enter into a fight, you need to be ready to take punches, that is the way fighting goes.

We have to rethink our strategy with the new situation, and hopefully regain the momentum.

The stakes are high, and the fallout of the conflict has the potential to alter our known world, at least seen from a western/eastern perspective.

But let us take the positive things first. We are still in some kind of cooperation in the northern world, including Russia and the US. Had we not been, matters would have been much, much worse. The conflict with The caliphate of Iraq is so much more dangerous to us all, that it will take the attention, and put the Ukraine conflict to rest. I really ache for the poor Russians in Donetsk and Lugansk, but the winds of war are blowing against them. I cannot help anymore, and I, with a bleeding heart, recommend a truce and a cooperation with Ukraine in the interest of peace and reconciliation.

I am so sorry, I wished for your independence and perhaps in the future it will come, but as things are right now, it will probably not come.

I will, however not forget you, and if there is a chance in the future for a solution that will ensure full rights for all, I will fight for your cause. To the Ukraine side, I understand you see this fight for at fight for your territorial integrity. But at least see the plight and needs of Russians and give them full rights. Give them right to speak their own language, and right to pursue a understanding of their own culture.

Israel

imageThe conflict in and around Israel is theoretically quite simple to understand and act on, but in practice extremely difficult.

We are suspended between the material world and the spiritual world. The material world drags at us all the time, an, as Adam, we are often seduced into eating the apple.

We however, if we want the cherubs to keep the gates of paradise open, have to understand the ways of the material world to act in accordance with the will of spirit.

Putting up a screaming horde of vigilantes, marauders and evil men in front of us. Is that the act of Eve or of Adam? Well it is quite clear to me, that the snake in paradise, that tries to lure us away from the wise path is the marauders. If we follow their chant and their seductive manners. We will act as them, and are then cast out of paradise.

The material world should be treated as it is; something to keep away from oneself, something that will always challenge us as a nation and as a people. Something we can only win over, if we see through all its schemes.

Middle East

If we look at the confrontation in Israel, we need to see it in connection with the other actions the Muslim brotherhood/Al Queda/Isis have done the last few weeks.

The MAJOR operation was the annexation and consequently plundering of half of Iraq. The SMALL operation was that in Israel. The proportions are quite simply not to compare. Therefor the conclusion is quite obvious, the real important action for Isis was not to attack the three boys, it was to take a piece of territory it could use as a base to spread its ideology.

In other words, the attack on Israel was more a diversion than a real threat. While everybody look upon Israel, they have time to consolidate their power in Iraq, remove obstacles, regroup, get stronger.

And, it worked.

Justice

In these times of chaos and destruction one perhaps needs to remember why we are here, and what the purpose of religion really is.

There are basically two confronting mechanisms in the world; the loving part and the hating part.

Love is the means to construction, while as hate is the means to destruction. We are all one, but sometimes we forget it.

When this urge comes over us, it clouds our judgement, and we are all fired up by the wish to seek revenge. Both in families and nations, these feelings are always destructive. After the action is done, we look upon our relationship or our nation, and we see that something is broken.

That is why most philosophers advice temperance, not to be weak, but to act wisely.

Justice can be many things, but central to most understanding of justice is the fact that it should bring the society onto a more positive path, not a negative path. By protecting the weak, or by bringing more health to the society. Therefor justice is not an easy thing, it is a complicated thing, that takes a lot of reflection and is something we wish for wise men and women to do.

G-d bless the justice of the birth cradle of civilization called today the Middle East.

Israel

The confrontation with Hamas/Fatah is really not going that well, we are all upset, and in this climate of anger and frustration we are not thinking clearly. Our feelings rule our actions.

We mourn for the teens, and we are filled with anger and a wish to “get back” on Hamas.

This is exactly why Hamas did the heinous act, and if we do it, they would have won. They are using our own weaknesses against us.

Nobody sets the same high moral standard for Hamas as they set high moral standards for us. Why? Because they are not the chosen people, they were not the one tribe that was chosen by spirit to spread the light of the creator. We are.

So, we need to act in accordance with what we are supposed to do, otherwise people will not accept our claim to make Israel.

According to Kabbalah Israel is the holy nation. This is really what it is all about. Israel is not a piece of land, or just somewhere we live, it is one great temple.

Israel

It has been a few weeks of nightmarish proportion for the people of Israel. The threat of elimination of the poor teens have been a terrible situation. And now it came to nothing all the money spend on investigation, all the searching, all the heartache, no consequence. The realization of the fragility of young people of Israel is terrible.

The threat comes from Hamas, but to really counter it, one has to see the complicated threath, and act in unison with our allies.

The threat is actually not that large anymore. We are talking about an almost isolated Hamas, the core of Sunni rebels without much support, and a host of allies.

Securing the borders of Israel is therefor not that hard.

First of all, I would recommend Israel to try to reach out and get a consolidated and coordinated handling of Hamas. Egypt is also very keen on stopping them, and there might be other in the Middle East that would like to help settling the matter.

Hamas still have a few friends in Europe and in the US. These should be considered, but not given any control.

The pressure on Hamas should be gradual and not sudden.

If a deal with Egypt could be made, a slow suffocation could be tried. Not on food and medical appliances, but on weaponry and money.

They are weak, and could be slowly forced to give up and move somewhere else, but it should be done in accordance with everybody else. If Israel just thunders in, we will loose too much international support, and we are very dependent on that.

G-d bless the families of Gil-Ad Shaer, Eyal Yifrah and Naftali Fraenkel, I hope they will carry them in their hearts for all of us to remember.

Israel

I think we can conclude now on the first two three years of the work done here on rubicon in relation to Israel and the work of peace.

Basically peace did not jump out of the box and settled everywhere in the world after the internet appeared and man could understand all of what happens. On the contrary, more conflicts appeared because man all of a sudden realized how they were treated and who actually tried to harm them.

But, Israel has had a very positive impact on world politics. This is in relation to the awareness of principles that could lead to peace, help where we could be used, but most important; as a peace broker in real conflicts. One thing is the good feeling of progress and peace, another thing is the actual bridge building between parts in conflict. I must say, I was extremely worried about the conflict in Ukraine, sometimes I though perhaps everything was lost. But due to the good will of both Putin and Obama, what could have turned into a large scale conflict was avoided.

Here, we in Israel helped in the understanding and brokering of peace.

The European Union

The European Union has come to a halt. The entire process up to the election of Juncker was marred with internal fighting, lack of progress and some very esquisit political handling.

I, for one, am quite impressed by the skill of Ms. Angela Merkel. She is a good politician. It never went her way however, and ethically there is no doubt that Mr. Cameron was the one person who actually took the different constituencies serious.

As Paul Kennedy had propheticed, The European Union is not imbued with all the mechanisms and sound principles that will lead to success. China is, and hopefully both The USA and Russia is, but not the EU.

It seems to me quite clear, that what we can aim at however is a Northern Union. I know that this is a wish of many, especially the Scotsmen, and why not? It would recreate the Viking empires, and that is something the voters will like.

We will see. The systems are preparing for a turnover. The English system is in the forefront of this development, and will continue to tear the European Union into pieces.

At the end of the day. I do not understand why the Eurocrats have been so arrogant. Acted as though the european voters were small children to be put into their rightful place. Using the wip all the time.

Maybe it was because they wanted it too much? If you want something too much, you never get it. If you take it a bit more easy, and actually listen to the voters and the people, you could have handled it much better, now it is just down the slide.

G-d bless the will to listen to what people actually says.

Economy

Often politicians think too much about money, and too little about ideology. I suppose it is because this is often what politicians really do; make budgets and control the flow of the money of the state.

Socialism is really born with the focus on money. Karl Marx was an economist who had a warm heart for the workers. But he did not care much for G-d.

So as a natural tendency, socialism has focused on the mundane world and not so much on the spiritual world.

This is changing, and it has brought forth a new paradigm of economics. It is usually defined as “obamanomics”, but it is much more a liberal version of the economics of Adam Smith. Smith really defined the ideas that fueled the expanding British empire. But due to haste or simply bad luck, the political world did not really grasp the true balance of Smith, and it is basically this simplemindedness that we are suffering with today.

Because, freedom goes hand in hand with responsibility.

Thus the natural consequence of this progress is the rebounding of Smithsonian economical ideas, but in a more complete way.

The conservatives have normally based their economical philosophy on Smith, and this, naturally, leaves the liberal side to choose the other side of his philosophy. Conservatives choose the freedom, the liberal chooses the ethical part.

Middle East

If we take a look at the current political situation in the game of world powers, it is, more or less as follows.

First of all, the world is truly united against the Sunni rebels. That is Al Queda in collaboration with the Muslim Brotherhood and the Taliban.

This gives the world a respite after the catastrophic developments in Ukraine, where the new world order of peace was seriously compromised. Only due to the fortitude and great and grand heart of mr. Vladimir Putin was the confrontation eased and did not end up in a major conflict. Thank you so much for that mr. Putin, had it not been for you, we would have ended up in a conflict that could have spurred the world into total destruction, thank you.

Isis/Al-Queda or whatever you call it has attracted a lot of attention. Why? Because it is not a local militia, it is a part of the Muslim Brotherhood led network of opaque players, that has reorganized after the loss in Egypt, and has proven a resilient opponent.

Middle East

imageThe Middle East is embroiled in yet another bloody war. Since the days of the first pharaohs, the Middle East has been the fighting ground for thousands of armies, and still is.

One thing is certain however, we need to understand the current conflict in order to progress with the peace plans.

Both the Sunni as well as the Shias have actually progressed a long way on the path of peace. On one hand we have Egypt, who are ready to rebuild the nation and reaches out for the West. We should off cause take this opportunity. At the other hand we have Iran, who are really also trying to reach a peaceful solution. Also Saudi Arabia are interested in peace.

In the middle however we have Sunni rebels, who are, ideologically, too far from the ideas of a united Middle East, and consequently destroying hope in the Middle East for progress and harmonious relations.

Economics

There is a certain tremor in the American economy. The momentum we created in the election is passing out, this will tell the observant reader one thing; the economical development has to be induced into the academic world.

To be realistic about the economical process we have started, we need to understand these ideas in a philosophical as well as a practical sense.

Most economical theories are supported and passed on to new generations of scholars, politicians, businessmen through education and political ideas. Like Keynesian ideas, or the ideas of Adam smith.

As we see in the metaphysical area, where I have the fortitude of being invited to Oxford, I hereby pledge the economical academic work to do the same. We need the ideas to be a part of day to day discussion and be passed on to new generations and good servicemen. Please remember that I have a very limited budget.

Adam Smith saw the equilibrium of ethics on one hand combined with free markets on the other.

To reach a balance between the two principles, we need to teach both principles in academia.

G-d bless the will to be wise in the field of economics.

The world is moving away from my perspective, slowly but consistently. Yes, the readers are still there, and there are movements that I have had the honour to inspire that is moving forth with vigor. But it is going in the wrong direction. The Middle East is embroiled in another bloody war, Europe is not gaining in independence, and the peace process I have been a part of is slowly stopping. I know, that all my readers want this to start again, but the material world is as it is.

I have to change tactics. We have to go back to the drawing board, and rethink the strategy.

Peace is only obtained, if people are satisfied. How are they satisfied? They are satisfied, if they are fulfilled in terms of needs.

The entire world is about giving and taking. The mechanisms that are working in the business of giving and taking, are a bit more complex than what you would superficially believe.

The world

There is a great disturbance in the spirit of the world, at least this is how I feel it. The conflict between the Sunni lead Muslim brotherhood and Europe is getting more and more intense, and the rethorics is harsh. The ideas and the methods I have put in place is slowly turning the conflict away from all out war into controlled handling, but still, the stakes are so high, and the problems so severe, that whatever we do, it will be bloody.

On the international scene, the Muslim Brotherhood have had a great victory in the carving out of a sharia state in Iraq/Syria. This is a set back, but, at the other hand, it was expected that after the loss in Egypt, they would do something to rectify the situation. Now they have a territory at their disposal, where they can resupply and organize without the scrutiny of the West or other enemies.

At the other hand, the strategy has one great minus; it makes the end result or the aim of the Muslim brothers quite clear to the world; it is not some kind of democracy they want, they want a Muslim kingdom based on Muslim law and Muslim values. No democracy.

Israel

imageIsrael is much safer now than a few years back, Egypt is really pro Israel, Iran wants to make peace, even Saudi Arabia is positive towards Israel. How has this come to be?

I will not diminish the epic work done by mr. Netanyahu. He has protected his people against innumerable enemies, and successfully so. IDF as well, professionally and carefully.

At the other hand, Israel has been bestowed with one of the most illustrious liberal leaders of the time mr. Peres. His leadership will also be legendary.

In a way, this has been the blessing of Israel; balance between strength and forgiveness, between dialogue and defense.

This is how nature works. On one hand there is the material world, where the strong rules the weak and there is no justice, on the other hand there is the spiritual world where we are all connected.

Politics is about finding that difficult balance. I know how difficult it is. I have tried to have my mother taken away, having my daughter in harms way. In the face of these difficulties, insisting on the path of dialogue and peace is extremely difficult. Sometimes we have to fight, but if we forget that our true mission is a mission of peace we loose. This task is almost inhuman, but it is these stakes that are put up in front of us.

The family

We often fight with the ones we love the most; our children, our parents our wifes, and in a way, marriage or family is a micro version of the nations. It is basically the same mechanisms that work in the family as in the nations.

When we are unsatisfied with something in our families, it usually has something to do with a need that is not met. The need for security, food, space, caring or attention. This makes us frustrated, and we react by getting upset and start blaming our loved ones for this lack.

Love in this situation, is to understand the needs of our loved ones, and try to fulfill them. And love is also to understand that all our needs are not easily fulfilled, and therefore accept that our needs will have to wait sometimes.

What we aim for in family as well as in nations, is the same; peace. Where we are living under the same roof in tranquility and happiness. This we will only realize however, if we understand how the family functions, it functions by understanding, and by our solidarity. If we reach out from beyond our materialistic prisons and start sharing what we have with the persons we love.

G-d bless the will to share.

The task of religion

To define the advent of a good life, one has to understand how the world is really constructed. Many, today, see religion as a prehistoric remnant from the times before the dinosaurs roamed the earth. I beg you to see, that it is not like this, it is the other way around. Religion, or metaphysics, has the answers that many other philosophies do not have.

How may we deduce this truth? First of all, we need to understand the world as it is. The world is stretched out between the material world and the spiritual world. I have touched upon this subject before, but to really understand the interrelationship between the two spheres, we need to focus on the mechanisms of each realm. The material realm is all about fighting and loneliness. We are each imprisoned in our bodies, and we are not easily able to cross the boundary, that our body defines. If we never reach for spirit we are trapped in vicious circle of violence and lust. We are in a world where the strong rules the weak, and justice is not present.

At the other hand, the spiritual realm is all love and complete immersion in the community of all living. Here we are never lonely, and always in connection with everybody else.

Middle East

The Middle East is in a true danger of refalling Into chaos. ISIS, or the collaborator of Al-Queda, have gained power in the wake of the destruction of the Muslim brotherhood. What did not succeed in Egypt is retried in and around Iraq and Syria. This new country would be an enemy of almost all other forces in the the world. So itnaturally creates a lot of fuss, and will be met with extreme political as well and physical opposition.

Well, I do not like Al-Queda, and I certainly do not like the Muslim brotherhood, they do not understand the true nature of spirit, and the inter fighting as the only way is the way of Satan There is no doubt about that, on the other hand these people are desperate. So I understand their actions in a the light of selfpreservation.

If you challenge the world, and fallaciously believe, that you can conquer all, and you really try this. You are both arrogant and absolutely unrealistic. All that has been accomplished by the grand designs of the Muslim Brotherhood is bad rep. for Muslims in the world, total destruction of all their many branches, and a legacy that will carry itself many years into the future.

You have to be humble, and help other people to survive and prosper. Because when we came from spirit, we were all one.

Harry Potter

imageCulture often, unconsciously reflect the conflicts of society, if the discussions are difficult, art has to be very subtle to touch upon the conflicts. I love Harry Potter, call it the identification with the courageous nerd with naught but magic at his disposal. Call it the veneration for the mystical parts of life. I do not know, but yet, I think I have had a clue. What is it really Harry Potter is about? Is it the English school system? Yes to some extent, but the English school system is just a part of the score. Is it the psychological development of young people? Again this is just a side plot. No the real conflict, is the creeping decay, of evil entering, unseen and extremely difficult to fight. How the good guys; the ancient lore and wisdom of the great and wise scholars are put against terror and intelligent lurking deceit.

It is about the stakes, how we are fighting a battle with a learning child at one side, and an ancient devil at the other side. The odds are definitely not in the favor of the good side. How the good knights and fairies are falling away as the young hero faces one standoff after the other.

It is about the core of England, fighting this vicious fight, not just in fiction, but in life. The corruption that seeps in everywhere, the fatigue. Evil creeping in over the boundaries. The stakes that are in favor of evil, and not in favor of good.

The same players are basically fighting in real life, and let me give you an example. Who are really the representatives creeping over the borders? It is the EU administration, that does not love England, but does all it can to ruin it, by deceit. This feeling is recognized by all, but it is difficult to truly define, because it is so elusive. Then there are many in England, who do not respect the law, and do terrible, terrible things. These are also the handmaidens of evil; honour killings, Islamists, thieves and robbers. It is not about race, but not to realize the depth of trouble England is in right now, would be not to recognize the challenges England is in.

Helle Thorning

Par7738792-1024x681_806113aThere are some who discuss the possibility of the current PM of Denmark Ms. Helle Thorning Schmidt as a leading figure in the European Union.

I strongly advice Ms. Merkel and David Cameron not to use her. In Israel she is known for at very violent procedure in connection with the handling of little Rakel. That is jewish persecution. She is extremely unpopular, and in fact extremely unskilled when it comes to leadership.

I know that Mr. Martin Schulz is not that popular in Germany among conservatives, but at least he is not a antisemite, and he is extremely skilled. He is also a Socialdemocrat as Helle Thorning.

The worst problem with Helle Thorning however, is the problem that she always makes a mess of herself when she is in international arenas, as she did when she made the impromptu “selfie picture” with David Cameron and Barack Obama.

Oxford

OxfordWhen I was in England the first time, I was around thirteen. It was at the height of the punk movement, so I was open mouthed looking at strange men with mohawks and brutal Dr. Martens boots.

Now, having a thing for Anglo Saxon writers at large; Joseph Conrad, sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Walter Scott, and having the feeling that I have a special connection with England. I am happy to have been invited to a symposium in Oxford.

You know, I have always liked the university feeling or spirit, the spartan ethics, the mass, where all students convene with the teachers. The chivalry and the feeling that behind the veils, a deeper understanding of things are apparent.

My contribution to the symposium, will revolve around the understanding of G-d. What G-d is, how we may understand our world in his image, the process of birth and dying. The solidarity of man, and why we as people are willing, nay forced to recognize the birth of our souls as a token of G-d.

I look forward to come to Oxford!

Egypt

Snofru_Eg_Mus_Kairo_2002_bThere are many great pharaohs. Horemheb, Sneferu, Ayo. All great men in their own rights, some blazing heroes, some just kings, some benevolent humanists. But they all had one thing in common; they loved Egypt.

How the new president, Mr. Al-Sisi will conduct his presidentship will be up to him, there are truly a vast array of ideal to put forth.

There is however one thing that is vital to modernize the enormous country; faith. Faith in Egypt, faith in the beautiful Twolands, and a slow rebuilding of the fort of faith.

Both the Copts and well as Al-Azhar have fortuitously supported a strong and just state. The experimentation of The Muslim Brotherhood would have ruined the country and destroyed all the beautiful mansions of the ancients. This has been avoided.

Monotheism was born in Egypt, Moses was an Egyptian prince, let it be, that his spirit will support and strengthen his children.

Abraham was a son of Mesopotamia, but also he should support and strengthen Egypt. Because he was a mathematician, a philosopher and a astrologer. Just as a vast part of Egyptian pharaohs have been.

It is about combining new with old, supporting a vibrant and industrial progress with a deep reverence for the past.

This done, Egypt will hopefully rise again. It will be tremendously difficult, the challenges are immense, but if Egyptians remember who they are, and what they were, one day they can overcome the all the setbacks she has seen for two thousand years.

Peace

Prayer_lgFor too long have the believers in G-d put the true nature of their calling aside, and have been absorbed by the nature of the material world. Theft, greed, disregard of the true nature of spirit has prevailed. G-ds name have been, often, misused by his followers to gain something in the material world.

This is, to my mind, a grave mistake, we cannot let us be absorbed by materialism in the course of our actions, we cannot not see our neighbors as they are; someone who are also just persons.

We can choose to live and let go, or we can chose to try reach over the aisle, and understand.

In each our versions of the one true G-d, there are enigmas we have to face to overcome the barrier between ourselves and G-d. These barriers are our own isolation when it comes to community. We do not see our fellowmen as they are, we see only our own barriers.

Now, I implore all, who attend the meeting in the Vatican, to shed the schackles of our physical being, and understand, no, fight for the possibility to lift the ban of Sodom and Gomorra, do not follow the path of unjust, of the egoistic, of Satan.

Be a member and a fellowman, in order to put aside our differences and pray for peace.

May G-d bless the one true understanding of our world, spiritual as well and physical.

Europe

imageThere is an ongoing debate in Europe, in USA, in Russia about the roots of us all. This discussion is stigmatized, and if you try your luck at it, often people start to yell, call you a racist and what is worse. This spills into the political sphere, where the new pro nationalist parties are often stigmatized and vilified, to the extent that people either kill as in Breiviks case or are killed as in Theo van Goghs case.

What is really happening, and why are we, as cultures forced to understand and strengthen this development, but in a manner that it actually does some good, and does not end up in another bloody war?

Let me give you an example that most liberals really understand well, and will, hands down, really like.

My beautiful wife has worked a long time with indeginous people in South America, in Guatemala to be precise. We have actually just had a visit by one of her Indian friends from Guatemala, who stayed with us for a week. Sweet person indeed.

The problem with the indeginous people in South America as well as in Northern America is joblessness, too much drinking, and broken families. Why? Because they have lost their faith. So Maria, she goes there and tries to strengthen their culture and support their fight when it comes to legal rights.

My wife has this father, he is a true hippie, with a great beard and he works with kids. For a long time his prime hobby was riding on a one wheeled bike, and teaching all the kids to ride one one wheeled bikers as well.

Europe

imageThe European elections have come to a conclusion, the Ukraine crisis have come to a conclusion and the world has truly changed.

The implications will not be felt right now, but a few years up ahead we will truly bear witness to change.

What is really the result of these occurrences. First of all, we did manage to keep peace in Europe in the face of a tremendous crisis. This will be a great victory for mr. Barack Obama. Diplomacy does work after all. You could argue that peace we have made was a result of economic sanctions, but really Russia are fully capable of handling its own affairs and can just turn to China. No, it was because all could see the reason in not engaging in a fully fledged conflict. After all, we are the same culture, and if we start fighting each other, all will lose.

In the long run, trust has actually been gained, it may seem a little far fetched, but right now Russia has actually gained a lot of trust in Europe, perhaps not officially, but deep down, unconsciously, Europeans recognizes, that Russia has become Russia again, and we can start to get along. There will off cause be rivalries, and Russia is the leader of the conservative spring, so it will be back to reclaim glory.

But it will be a peaceful contest, and not a contest with armed conflict.

The European culture is having a rebound, brought forth by Russia.

The European Union is having serious trouble. Not only economically but also in regards to trust by the public. The EU elite might continue business as usual, but it simply cannot contain the anger, the frustration and the rebellion it meets in the Northern Europe.

Ukraine

There is still a lot of war going on in Ukraine, especially in the East, in the two rebel regions Lugansk and Donetsk. For whatever it is worth, I wholeheartedly condemn it. It is the right of all people to choose themselves which nation they belong. Otherwise it is tyranny.

I understand the plight and the ambition of Ukraine, and I support it as well. But having seen trouble does not give you the right to make the same trouble to someone else.

As we Jews, we have always been persecuted, but this does not give us the right to be persecutors, on the contrary we should be better than that.

Ukraine is a warn torn country, it has always been the gateway between east and west, so war is deeply ingrained in the DNA of the Kievan Rus. But why fight ourselves, we are the same people, be Kievan Rus or just Russians. It does not make any sense to me.

Europe

136532_f520The European conservatives are in a bit of a cat fight. Perhaps we can look at it this way; it is not about who we wish to be, but about what we are.

Being a conservative these days are the same as a constant witch hunt. Then we are accused of this, then we are accused of that. What really matters is; what we are.

Conservatives carry a tainted legacy. Somehow conservatives ended up as the heirs to Hitler and his national socialism.

There are many colors of nationalism, you could support this or that version of it. For me, supporting national socialism is like chopping a hand of myself. After all, I am a jew.

So what are the mechanics, and how can we avoid them, or even grow stronger in this shadow that someone else threw over us.

Chip in

I have had a long time writing, not making a single penny. This was ok, especially when I was alone and did not have a responsability for my little family. But things change, and the constant pressure by the state, using my diluted economical state, have made me decide taking a small fee for the reading here on rubicon. After all, all the pieces you read are made from bottom up, no copying, no reference, just fresh and new texts every time something is written.

And yet one thing is to earn a living on what you love to do, another thing is to live in indulgence. This is not the aim of this blog, so in two ways I try to circumvent this challenge. Firstly, all who are not that well off, can get acces for free, secondly, all income above a normal salary of a teacher here in Denmark, is given to hospital building with the order of the knights hospitaliers. Hopefully we can amass a lot of funds, to help people who are ravaged by war.

I hope you forgive me for this action, I know a lot of you do not like to pay for text here on the net. But writers need to live too.

I bless all who are willing to give to a noble cause.
